" Feel free to look around. However do not ruin anything. Got it. " Elden said.

Mars, Fana and Ladros had shocked faces when they noticed the change in scenary. One moment they were in front of the king the next they were in a small room.

While they were looking they nodded at Elden as he left leaving them there.

After he left Fana went and sat down as her eyes became dull. Mars noticed as he went to her.

Fana said nothing as she hugged him while Mars hugged back while tears started to fall. They were weaping but it wasn't loud.

Ladros looked at them and said nothing as he kept looking around.

The room was small. The things inside were a bookshelve, a couch, a desk and a lamp.

Ladros walked towards the bookshelve and looked at the books.

' I'll go with this one. ' He thought as he choose one.

Ladros went and sat down on a chair as he started reading. Soon Elden came back.

An aroma touched their noses as they looked at him. He smiled as he placed food on the table.

Elden looked at the book in Ladros hands. Ladros noticed.

" You said not to ruin anything and I didn't make a mess. You never said that I couldn't read the book. I'll put it back later. "

" Good. Also do not ruin the book by spilling food on it okay. " Elden said with a glare that promised pain.

Ladros nodded with a carefree expression as he was focused on the food with a bit of drool.

Elden made some fried rice as he gave it to them. Elden looked them as he noticed that Mars and Fana had cried, indicated by the marks on their cheeks.

Ladros on the other hand was carefree as he started eating.

Elden just watched as they enjoyed the food. Soon they finished as he looked at them.They also looked at him.

" Alright time to start. My name is Elden. I have no last name. I'm the new captain for the kingdom so I'm fairly new.

Anyway I have chosen you to be members for my squad and I wish to know you. So tell me your name, hobbies, like and dislikes, and your dream if possible. " Elden said with a small smile.

Mars, Fana and Ladros looked at him. After I couple of silence Mars was the first to talk.

" My name is Mars. I don't have a hobby. I like hanging out with Fana and having fun with my magic. I dislike this kingdom and I don't have a dream. " Mars said.

" I see. " Elden said as he looked at Ladros. " You go next. "

" Yeah... No. " Ladros said as his face morphed from a thinking face to a placid face. Elden just looked at him before laughing out loud. Mars and Fana were scared as Ladros was mad.

" Hey why are you laughing?!! Stop laughing at me!! " Ladros yelled.

" Sorry. Sorry. The way your face changed from thinking to placid was to funny. Anyway your next. " Elden said as then pointed at Fana.

" Haaa. Your not interested?!! " Ladros yelled.

" Will you tell me? " Elden asked.

" Not a chance in hell!! " Ladros yells with his arms crossed.

" Then it doesn't matter. "

Ladros then felt a block of solid stone fall on top of him as Elden ignored him and looked at Fana.

Fana was confused as she looked at Elden. She knew he was different as wasn't like the instructors. He was kind and patient.

She remembered seeing him before everything went black.

" My name is Fana. I don't have a hobby. I like hanging out with friends. My dislikes is this kingdom and I don't have dream. " Fana said.

Elden just nodded his head.

" Um sir can ask you a question? " Fana asked hestaintly.

" Sure. "

" Why are you so nice? Me and Mars just said that we don't like this kingdom but you said nothing. " Fana said.

Elden looked at her with a smile as Mars and Ladros looked at her with widened eyes.

' I didn't even notice. '

" Hmm ill tell you but you can't tell anyone outside this room okay. " Elden said. Fana and Mars nodded while Ladros just looked at him.

" The reason is... " Elden said as they looked at him.

" I don't care. " Elden said in a carefree attitude as the three of them fell down.

" What Why?!! " Ladros yelled.

" Simple, after what you guys went through it makes sense why you don't like the kingdom.

Now for what your job entails. Your first priority will be to protect the kingdom so you will go take missions. The missions that you can take will be based on your strength.

The people who approve of which missions you can take judge you on whether or not you can complete this mission.

However that will be when I give you permission since you still training but that will be for tomorrow.

They followed him as they walked through a hallway.

Soon they arrived in front of three doors.

" Okay so these are your rooms. Inside is one bed for each of you. You will be paid at the end of every month.

As for your dislike of the kingdom don't say it in front of other people. This includes everyone even people you trust.

Anyway have a nice night. "

Elden said as he walked away.

Mars, Fana and Ladros opened their rooms and went inside.

Their rooms were small but held what they needed. A bed, a closet, a desk, and a shelve.

They settled in as they went to sleep.

" So how did it go? " Karasuma asked as Elden entered his study.

" Pretty good. I didn't talk to them about the lives they took. They didn't need to hear it right now. "

" True but when will you talk to them? "

" I'll let them get settled in first, besides they have to trust me. If I ordered them to tell me it wouldn't help.

Fana was the most affected. Mars can probably hold it as he probably would've been more hurt if Fana died. Ladros was the least affected.

For him I do not know why. I'll see later. "

" Good plan. Ladros went through an experiment. It could be because of that. "

" Your not wrong. I'll see what's up with him first before making a decision. "

Elden then brought out a chess board. Karasuma smiled before sitting down.
