I… … . one among roughly 20 million people in the city that never sleeps aka Mumbai perhaps am the most unfortunate soul, now lying under the roof of an abandoned building with heavy breathing and pale yet utterly dehydrated body, my fever is so high that I am unable to feel anything, I collapsed countless times while running from bunch of humans who are much of a less human technically, I am not going to say that I don't want to live but the pain and suffering that I went through for a few years only made me think of most easiest way to end all this accursed life once and for all ,what a pathetic way to die after surviving three years of torment, my vision started becoming blurry perhaps this is the end for me, slowly life from my remaining eye is fading and everything became dark but suddenly it started to feel warm and pleasant, is this how death supposed to feel when you're not constrained by a physical body, wait a second am I seeing this or what, well not exactly it's like I am feeling it, a small point of white light appearing within the darkness but it was too distance, should I just walk over there and see, hold up how am I supposed to walk when I don't have a body and is it me or the light is becoming brighter like it's approaching me, whoa it's growing a lot now the bright light enveloped me into itself as if I am also a part of it, suddenly a voice rang through I am not hearing the voice it's like I am feeling it just same as how I felt light, the voice said " Not today child you haven't finished what you are supposed to, this is but just a beginning of the journey that you have to complete "
A boy in his early teens was sitting while taking the support of a wall behind him, he was in a trance like state, suddenly he felt a rough and brutal splash of water on his face which shook him awake from his state all he saw was an ugly man in his early forties standing in front of him holding a bucket in his left hand, the boy came back to his senses only to notice that the water smelled awful, he even noticed the chunks of flesh and a couple of wet feathers on his body it was clear that the water he threw at him was used to clean chicken before cooking. That splash of water somehow managed to startle the boy and he weakly got up before proceedings toward his next unknown destination.
Beginning of The Chaos
Raahitya Somani son of two among the most influential figures in the city Raj Somani and Caireann Campbell an Irish lady who managed to start her own business from scratch, while dealing with various international transactions she met Raj Somani who was born with silver spoon in his mouth but still he turned out to be more than worthy successor for his father, while maintaining his family business that his father started, he also expanded it into various cities gaining appreciation from almost every customer the reason behind his success was obviously the politicians, he willingly donated a considerable amount of money to the ruling party every time after the elections thus he had support of politicians across the states, that also made it possible for him to establish necessary connections to expand his business. But little did he knew that with success comes envy, fortune of today is mostly followed by misfortune of tomorrow due to his early start and constant growth of business he lacked the foundation necessary to stabilize his business thus resulting in falling under the eyes of vultures known as businessmen, his younger brother Suraj Somani took advantage of the fluctuations in his growth to over throw his older brother from council of shareholders Suraj was famous in city for his ruthless tactics he couldn't make connections with politicians so he happily walked hand in hand with underworld, even after loosing everything he inherited as well as what he built, Raj didn't lose the hope to stand back he invested his remaining finances in the company owned by his wife Caireann also he officially joined the board of directors in his wife's company after everything was finally stabilized he didn't want to commit same mistake as he did in his company he started to stabilize the foundation of Raahitya International Trading Company which was named after his first born child while his beloved wife managed the other affairs he was happy and quite contended with his current life also after reaching their annual target both Raj and Caireann decided to have a second child. Months passed by and Caireann was getting glow of pregnancy while Raj had given in to her mood swings, Raahitya on other hand was excited to see his younger siblings he was sick of waiting he always whined that how long is baby taking to come out of his mothers embrace and finally meet him it's already been seven months since he first heard that a baby's going to arrive, his mom would always lovingly caress his face while asking him to wait for just few more months. He slowly started to become possessive of his mother that was because his instincts as an older sibling he thought that he'd be ignored so he was practically forcing his mother to love him he'd often fall asleep on his mother's lap while Raj would comment that at least let her breath every once in a while. This was it, the reason for Raahitya to move forward, the happy faces of his Dad and Mom made him forget the terrible days at school, he was often bullied because of his rare (weird in case of school kids) hair colour which he got from his mother, along with his pale white and almost flawless skin which itself is rare in the country on top of he had shiny, lightly curled, dark red hairs those were practically black hairs with red outlines his fat built only added fuel to the bullying, the reason was of course his parents being busy in their own business and due to unexpected turn of events in his fathers life, he often had to eat unhealthy food at restaurants which adversely affected his health in his growing years, secondly he was avoided by most of kids so he wasn't able to play among others, which caused lack of exercise while further degrading his health. He was weak, soft hearted and a coward technically an easy target but he didn't run away he always faced his bullies to their faces which further annoyed them he didn't wanted to bother his parents about it he, just kept things to himself swallowing the insults and criticism from the kids who are much more of hypocrite but at the end of the day seeing his parents smile he thought that it's worth it.
It was night of November 26th 2008 Raahitya was with his father Raj who was buying the stuff that would be needed at home in a local convince store, while returning back home both of them decided to have a conversation about everything happening around also it was often that they would talk while having some street food, his father would often share his experience with little Raahitya, that night was nothing else but a nightmare which would haunt Raahitya and every other citizen. After having a nice long talk both of them decided to return home while driving his father was playing a few bollywood songs from late 90s as his daily habit, after a few minutes Raahitya was done eating his burger and stretching his hands toward the back seat of car to grab a couple of tissues suddenly he heard the tyres screech and a deafening bang with crashing sound he dropped the tissues and saw toward his father, his father had a horrifying look on his face.
The car was crashed onto a bike which was thrown a few meters away because of the impact. Raj asked Raahitya to sit down in the of the car without making any noise and stay there without moving, Raj got out of the car and ran towards the injured rider who was laying there motionless after a few moments of silence all he heard was a clunk and a thuwoop sound and Raj suddenly fell while throwing his head backwards opposite to the side where the biker was laying.
Remember everything happened to us until now was a transaction, we get something we lose something, and this is the undeniable truth of this world.
I'd also love to have your support but mark my words I promise that this will be among the best story you all ever read.
