Sneaking In

After school Carl went to meet his mom and stayed with her till her close then both of them walked home.

They got home had dinner and chatted for some time.

"Mom, I want to go over to see Jason this night I might have a sleep over, and I think there is an issue with why he got locked up at home so don't expect me back tonight."

"Alright Hun, just make sure to take care of yourself and don't get into trouble."

"Yes mom." Carl replied as he walked over and gave his mom a goodnight kiss, then he stepped out of the house waving his mom.

Walking down the street Carl headed towards the café Stephanie had mentioned earlier, the sapphire café was the café owned by Stephanie's mom.

Getting to the café Carl sat down and took an order, while waiting for Stephanie.

"Hey Carl, you're here early, hold on for a minute let me get changed." Stephanie said

Carl nodded towards Stephanie as she walked into the staff's room, after some time she walked out wearing a set of jean trousers and black skin tight tops.

"How's the dress, fit for a mission right?" Stephanie asked shyly.

"Yes, definitely, at least you won't trip over me again." Carl chuckled.

Carl and Stephanie walked together towards Jason's family mansion.

"Well, well as expected of the mansion owned by a rich vampire, as spooky and as guarded as the ones in the movies, Stephanie do you think the movies copied the vampires or the vampires copied their style from the movies." Carl asked.

"Carl focus, how are we supposed to sneak into the vampire mansion without alerting anyone." She asked.

"Well for you pretty difficult, for me, too easy." Carl replied with a chuckle.

They arrived at the east end of the mansion, the same position Jason's mansion is located.

"Alright Stephanie come over let's head in, Carl walked over to Stephanie as he said then waving his hands he shifted forms into an owl.

Stephanie was shocked and asked, is this your great plan? All vampires can shift into bats and they can clearly tell if is another vampire that shifted or if it is an ordinary bat.

"Who the hell asked you to shift into a bat?" Carl asked in an owl form. 

"Hurry up and get closer so I can shift you into something more suitable for me to carry." He said.

Stephanie was confused but still walked ahead, on getting closer to Carl, his eyes glowed with scarlet colour, at that moment Stephanie felt he body shrink till she became a twig.

"What the hell Carl! Of all things you could shift me into, you chose a twig, really?" She lashed at him. 

"Well no offense let me change your form." Carl said as he shifted Stephanie into a neck collar and wore on his owl neck.

"Ughh, an owl with a collar? Hilarious, Jason would laugh so hard I get caught, I might as well change forms too." He muttered to himself.

'Whoosh' 

Carl changed his form into a small black cat, "Well I look less eye catching, and there are a lot of cats in the neighbourhood so no one would suspect a thing now."

Carl in form of a cat took Stephanie who was on his neck like a collar as he climbed the fence heading towards Jason's room.

"Carl, how come you can move so soundlessly and at high speed at that?" Stephanie was definitely surprised. Carl had hardly displayed his abilities in the open for many people to see. 

In fact, there are only two people that have seen Carl's form and extra two people that have seen him display a bit of his abilities. His mom and Erebus had seen his form, while Jason and Erebus had seen him display his abilities.

"Stephanie, you can ask your questions later, now is not the time to be rambling on this." The cat spoke softly.

"Alright, I won't disturb you, humph such a bore." She complained as she humphed.

Carl smiled and didn't say anything, after darting into the mansion Carl finally saw Jason's window open and leaped onto the fence heading straight to it.

Getting close Carl could hear some voices coming from Jason's room.

"Jason, you are not to step out of this mansion or say anything about that demon Carl again." A man said.

"Jason, we are doing this for your good, do not go against your father's orders, following that boy Carl will bring nothing but trouble. You know that here on earth vampires have a more powerful network than demons and we are not on good terms." The woman beside the man said.

"For the sake of the family, we want you to cut off ties with that boy, but you can keep your other friends, Vincent, Stephanie and the other vampires can still be your friends." She continued.

"Mom, Dad I know why you want me to stay off Carl but he is my only real friend I confide in and he doesn't have much friends too, I even feel he is more of a vampire than a demon I have seen him hypnotize an animal before." Jason replied defiantly. 

"Jason that is enough conversation for one night, have a good night rest, tomorrow I would no longer hear of this matter." The man said as he and his wife left the room.

Jason's parents walked out his room and Jason sat on his bed with a complicated expression.

"Sigh" 

"I knew I was related to the issue of your stay at home, but to think that they don't want me around my only friend anymore that breaks my heart." A familiar voice spread through the room.

Jason's expression froze when he heard that, turning towards the window he saw a cat lying on the window waving its tail.

"Carl when did you get here? Wait, how did you get here without being caught?" Jason fired two questions without taking a breath.

"Well I sneaked in and...… Oh I almost forgot." Removing the collar on his neck Carl waved his paws and the collar turned into Stephanie who had a complicated look on her face.

"What! Stephanie, you are here too?" Jason was shocked beyond imaginations.

Relaxing a bit he spoke once more.

"Well, there is no need to explain it further since you both heard the whole story, I'm confused as well."` He said in a low tone.

"About what exactly, its simple follow your parent's orders. I am going to be leaving Orleans in a few years, but before that I need some information." Carl said with a light smile.

"I need to clarify a few things from some of the demon families before heading to the underworld." He continued.

"Hey Carl, why are you going to leave?" Stephanie finally asked, she had a sad expression on her face, among her friends, Carl was the one who made her feel at ease, although they were not close friends they at least had a mutual friend that brought them closer to one another.

"Well if I am going to be honest, I want to get revenge and meet the most important people to me." Carl said what was actually on his mind.

"Revenge?" Both Jason and Stephanie were shocked o their cores.

 The thought that Carl was planning revenge and in the underworld at that! 

Many thought passed their mind as they stared at Carl in shock, and the funniest part was he said in a casual manner.

"Oh well, back to the main topic, Jason the real reason why your mom and dad asked you to stay away from me was because of that kid from the Dominos family right, what was his name again Charles?" Carl asked.

"Carl, its fine I can han…." Jason was about to speak when Carl cut him short.

"Ah I knew it; how dare he scheme against my friends it seems it's time to show the world who I truly am." Carl was angry now, although he reserved his anger, the air chilled a bit.

"I, Carl Morningstar is not someone a random Vampire can cross." Carl said in a low voice but the other two heard him clearly, at first they were confused but after hearing his family name fear ran down their spine.

The Morningstars, the most dangerous of the 12 royal devil families, Carl was actually a royal devil, and he laid low on earth what must have happened to him?

Jason thought of it and decided to do some researching on Carl's actual identity.

"Well Jason, I came to give you a nice gift." Carl spoke as he waved his hand opening a mini portal in the air summoning a small creature, it was a wolf like creature with a silver line of fur in its pitch black fur.

"Here, it is a newly born shadow monger, quickly bind it as your pet." Carl said placing the little animal in Jason's arms. 

"Shadow monger?!" 

"What the f*ck, he actually gifted a shadow monger so easily and he is not moved at all?"

"This creature is a 9th grade Ancient beast. It's growth is not limited at all." Jason screamed in his head. 

"Carl, I can't accept this and bind it as a pet, this is too much, I do not know what you went through to capture this beast." Jason said.

"Tch, since when do I care about things like that, take it I'm running out of time, I have other places to go." Carl said while clicking his tongue.

Finally, Jason accepted the pet and quickly bound it then sent it into his pet space.

"And Stephanie have this as well." Carl summoned another monster but this one looked cute, like a mouse with big eyes. 

Stephanie could not count how many times she had been shocked only in one night. Carl actually gave her an Illusion light beast. 

"It is still a new born, bind it quickly." Carl said.

Carl actually caught many rare and powerful beasts while in the grimlands, and even took some eggs along with him. But he planned on using the rest for some other purposes when returning back to the underworld.

"Alright Jason, Stephanie you could talk to your boyfriend a bit I'm waiting outside but hurry up, we'd leave in 30 minutes." Carl said as he stepped on he window and leaping out.

"You know, the way he acts I mistake him for a Count level Vampire." Jason said as he walked towards Stephanie. 

<Some minutes later>

Stephanie climbed up the roof to see Carl standing with his hands behind his back facing the dark sky.

"Well, you were done rather quickly, if I were you I'd have more time with my lover don't you think so." Carl said as he chuckled.

"Alright we would be on our way now." Carl waved his hands and turned Stephanie into a collar one more and wearing it on his neck. 

{Poof}

Carl turned into a black cat and leapt off the roof sneaking out of the castle.
