Her Night In Shining Armor

Aurelie woke up to her phone ringing. She could immediately feel the dull pain in her ankle. She grimaced and reached for her phone. She looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Sharon calling her. She frowned and answered the call.

"Hello," her voice was hoarse from sleep.

She cleared her throat, then she sat up.

"Aurelie, are you okay?" Sharon sounded worried, "Why don't you call me when something happens?"

Auri wondered what Sharon was talking about. Nothing had happened. Nothing except maybe the fiasco with her parents the previous morning.

"I'm fine Sharon," Auri assured, "Although I don't quite understand what you are talking about."

Sharon made an angry sound.

"Are you going to try and hide that you nearly fell down the stairs in the hotel?" She asked, "Luca Caruso's team has released a statement on behalf of the man and his wife apologising to you. I believe you will get monetary compensation for your pain and suffering."
