"Constantine."
'OH SHIT!' I jumped out of my bed. My heart beat in my ears as I took in the unlucky bugger who just pissed me off-....'Batman?'
"What are you doin' in my place?" If he was embarrassed about my pecker being out, he didn't show it.
"We need help." Now that surprised! Batman….asking me for help? Bollocks!
"Bruv, what happening with you, how do I know this is you?" I told him as I reached for a ciggy. I lit up, taking a hit-
"A sorceress named Enchantress is causing massive storms throughout the Southeast and west in America. We need a magician to combat her."
I took a moments to think it over…."You aint got a magician on the 'Justice League'? I thought you blokes were big time?"
He didn't give an answer, only staring me down. "Alright…I'll do it, but im getting paid-"
"Acceptable, lets go." He turned before I could get through saying how much…ehhh, guess that means a blank check, huh?

The flight over the Atlantic let Constantine think on the circumstances of his limited recruitment to the Justice League, saviors of the world.
He remembered seeing them on TV in the aftermath. How they stood in front of the president as heroes instead of freaks. He felt a small amount of happiness for them before exorcising a nameless soldier demon out of a child.
He remembered how he first met Batman. Constantine was personally hired by the Vatican to investigate a criminal that went by the name 'The Joker'. They wanted to know if he was possessed, and while he did his research, he couldn't help but think that he was possessed by atleast a Duke of Hell.
His evil was uncontested but when he activated his scrying and found that he was as spiritually normal as everyone else, except the blackness that stuck to his soul was darker than most Viscount Demons and that was...…completely unsettling.
Eventually Batman came across him while he lazily observed the clown. He was confronted but Batman stood no chance.
"So, Batman, you chaps got some sort of hidden base? A cave? Under a lake? A volcano? Hidden tower?-"
"You'll see." He responded coldly as he led Constantine to secret room in the already secret Batcave. Constantine took a moment to observe where The Bat stayed and stalked his little criminals. He led him to a huge spherical thingy.
"Whats is this?" He asked.
"This'll take you to our 'secret base'." Batman said as he turned and pressed something that activated the device. Some sort of energy started to swirl inside the sphere before Batman led him up to it. "Step in." He told him.
'A little nervousness never got to me.' Constantine psyched himself up before stepping in. He stepped into a central chamber that had a holographic computer that showed up. "I didn't know we got holograms, you holding out on the world, Batman?" He asked the hero behind him.
"No." He said, simply.
He didn't pay attention to the dry answer before looking around. He noticed two other spherical devices. The hologram activated and before he could even think, 6 faces popped up on it. He recognized most of them but one. A blond haired, supermodel looking woman with a black choker on.
"Batman? Who's this?" The bloke he recognized as Superman asked.
"This is John Constantine-"
"Im John Constantine, Vatican approved exorcist and Veteran Occult Detective, they also call me The Hellblazer." He introduced himself. None of them recognized him but that was to be expected. "I heard you all need a little….help."
Wonder Woman quickly explained their circumstances even though he already knew. "Can you help us?" She asked after she finished.
"Well, of course, luv. Just give me some time to set up the scrying spell." First he summoned chalk blessed by the church in his hands. He drew out a circle surrounding him before drawing intricate symbols on the inside, manning the interior.
The process took upwards of 8 minutes with each being watched carefully by the league on the holograms. "Alright! Im done." He wiped off the chalk residue before seating himself in the middle of the circle. "Āľľŏŵ ťĥŏșė ŵĥŏ ǩňŏŵ ťŏ ƀėșťŏŵ ǔƥŏň ɱė, Ʈĥė Ęňƈĥāňťřėșș!" His voice came out as if it was boosted, he began hovering in the air as his hair floated and his eyes glowed a deep red.
A strange wind started to slowly blow everywhere back, even Batman who held on to the table the took up a large space. "CONSTANTINE?" He yelled at the now floating british man.
"What's happening?" The group of heroes sounded out at the same time in worry.
"Im coming, immediately." Superman said, but was interrupted by Batman telling him it was all right.
The wind only picked up in intensity, "ȘĤŌŴ ӍĘ ŴĤŌ Ĭ ŴĬȘĤ!" Constantine yelled out. His neck bulged with veins.
Something yelled back….
"M̨̫̯͖̰̂͆͟O̮̻͋͑͑͡R͚̙̦̝͈͚̜͚̽ͭ́̕Ṱ̷̆̾͗ͪͫ͊A̓ͧ͂̐ͯͭ҉̢̱͔͔̣̤͓̭L̹͗͛͒͢!̢̗̥̗̜̱̹̥͈̽̒̄ͦ͆͐̏͛ ̒̓ͥ͐͏̫̟̺̙̱̤͙͎Ș̷̟͚͚̪̜̤ͦͦͬͬͅT̹͓̰̽̑̊̍̓ͤ̀͜ͅA̞ͬ̌ͪ̏͝Y̸͎̞͎̫̋͌ ͂͏͍I͔͔̓̋̓̎̾́͘N͂ͩ͏̹͎̼͓͔̮̺͍̀ ͦ͝҉͉̗̩͇Ÿ̫͚̹͍̱́̎̃̇ͦͤ͝O̸̪̯̫̺͛̇̔̄̓̀U̵͎͉͉̳̥̣̜͐̚͠R̡̻̤̬͈ͥ̏̄̿͞ͅ ̴̶͓ͭP̛̼̩̠̻̣͕̘ͩ̿͑ͩ̓ͧL̵̜̙̃̀ͦ̾͒A̴͚̖͇̠̐̾ͨ̏̀C̞̥̫̗̮̠̹̤͋̅́E̯̬͒͠ ̛̼͙ͦͮͯͤB̵̘̰͍͓͎ͩ̈́̑̅̾̂̉ͮE̸̝͓̰ͪ̕F̛͚̤͇̻ͮ̌ͪ̾̓͟O̗̪̹͎̤̜̦ͩ̎̀͋̽̄ͫ̀Ŗ̻̖̻̥͓̣̮̼͑̒̂̓̀̈̓ͨ̀E̵̞̳̘̞̲̰̜͔̾̈̔͊ ̶̵̱͈̻̪̬̂̇I̸̶̬͓̠͑̍ͭ͛̿ ͚̝͖̀̄͟W̾̈́ͩͬ̇ͮ͏̦͕̻̬I̵̪̾ͫ͒̿͗͜P̙̻̗̫̫̲͌͗͆̏ͧ̏̀Ę̻͇͔͚̪̋͑̑̎ ̴̘̪͕̠͓̘̯̔̐ͧ̀͆͗ͥ́Y̪̲̖̪͗͗̑͘̕ͅO̢͓͇̝̜̰͕ͭͨ̉ͭ͝ͅǓ̎̇ͣͭͫͬ҉̨͎̜ ̝͇̰͔͍͔͓̙͗ͪ̾ͧ͐͒ͨ͡F̢͔̺̗͙̲͔̥ͨ̀Ȓ̷̸̪̰͕̼̖͍͛̾̍̽͐O̓͏͙̣͓͈̥M̛̯̝̹͔̔̓̍̈́̇̓̑͌ ̶̟̻̒ͩ̀͑ͤ͢Ṫ́͑͆ͣ͋͏̗̹͟H̰͍͖̬̏͆͞I̘̫̾̀ͤͤ̇̄͑̚͘͞S̨̳͍̘̣̜͙͉̋ͫ̈́̆̂̽ ̧͚̼͇̪͙̻̐P̰̠̝̞̳̓ͧͭͬͫ͑ͬ̀̕L̺͑̕͝Ḁ͖̼̗ͭ̀͡ͅͅN̷̜̬̮̭͓͖̟̿̉ͤ́E̴̖̗̘͙͒͠!"
Constantine flew out from the circle and crashed into the reinforced wall of the secret base. "ARGHH!" He let out in sudden pain at being forced out of his spell. The wind immediately stopped like it was never there.
Batman didn't waste any time, he rushed to Constantine before grabbing him, "Are you all right?"
It took a moment before "Yeah, yeah….bugger threw me like a ragdoll but im fine." He coughed out.
"Good." He told the obviously still in pain occult investigator. "What happened?"
John looked into the Bats eyes before "Well….that was a God telling me to fuck off before psychically flicking me.-"
"A God? The Abrahamic God? Allah? Jehovah, Yahweh?"
"No Bats…like a pagan god. A pagan god has chosen to protect this Enchantress character."
Batman formed his thoughts carefully at the new information. "A…..a god…do you have any idea what we can do?" Batman frowned at the way he sounded when he asked.
"Its Something I've never personally encountered before…but I know someone who has. The only person who has ever successfully encountered a god,...Jericho Drumm."
