Winning is not important

"So the first game is drawing contest." Jin oppa said.

I chose to play with them so I could come out of the feeling that I'm not alone.

"So what should we draw?" Jungkook asked.

"Anything you wish." He said and handed us a sheet and a pencil to draw.

I took a book as base and started drawing whatever came to my mind.

*after few minutes

"Now show me your sheets." Jin said and we handed our sheets.

I drew a cut little coffee cup cause I love coffee. No matter what time it is, I'll drink coffee anytime.

Jungkook drew a rabbit, Jimin drew a dog, Hoseok oppa drew a cute little boy, Yoongi oppa drew a bed(which felt funny to me), Namjoon oppa drew a plate with food (which by looks itself was delicious) and Taehyung drew a flower vase.

Jin took a careful look at everything.

"I've decide the winner. But I'll tell who it is at the end of all the games. Now let's head onto our next game." He said.

"Hyung, don't keep suspense. Tell us now." Taehyung pouted and said.

I couldn't control but laugh at his cuteness. And the others laughed.

"Yah, if I tell now your interest will go. So wait till the end." Jin oppa said. The way he said was different. It was a bit loud and he used to length every word. And shakes his head and body while talking.

We all couldn't help but laugh again at their cute little fight.

"Ok enough. Let's start our next game." He continued. "In this game, you need to be in pairs. So decide your pairs."

We looked at each other and didn't know what to do.

"Yah what takes you so long. I'll only decide. There are two girls, so each of you are the head of the group. Y/n stand here and Lisa stand here." He said asking me to stand to his left and Lisa to his right.

"Now four in each team. Namjoon, Yoongi and Hoseok in Lisa's team and Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook in Y/n's team." He said and they walked to their respective groups.

"Ok. So the game is a cooking game. As you're in a group now, you'll be cooking me dinner. But not easy dishes. And the leader of the group can't touch anything. You'll be with them and guiding them what to do. You shouldn't touch anything. So this is basically like a challenge." He said and took a deep breath in.

I looked at the others. I trusted them, they can do it. And I will make them do it.

"You can start your work now. It should be done by 8:00 pm." He said and sat down back and relaxed himself.

"Oppa, I have a doubt." I asked.

"What is it?"

"Oppa, you said we can't touch anything. Can we at least taste it?" I asked with an expected answer.

"You can't touch it but you can ask your team to give it to you so you can taste it." He said and smiled. I smiled back.

"Let's start." I said and took them to a room to discuss what to do.

"What is the time now?" I asked them when we got to the room.

"It's 6:00 pm." Jungkook said.

"Ok. We have a lot of time. So we need to decide what to make. Any ideas?" I asked them.

They went into thinking mode. I looked at them and there was no response from them.

"Guys? I'm asking you. Do you know any? It doesn't matter if you don't know the recipe, I'll help you out." I asked again but nothing came out of their mouth.

"I have one." Jimin said.

"What is it?" I asked eagerly.

"How about pancakes?" He asked.

I gave him a stern look.

"Jinjja? Such a great idea. You'll eat pancakes for dinner? Be serious." I said a bit angry.

"Ok sorry. I have another one. It'll be good." He said.

"What is it?" I asked with lost interest.

"How about tteok-bokki?" He said.

My face grew happy. In happiness I pinched his face and said,"thank you so much. At last one dish is done. One more to go." I said.

"And bibimpab?" Taehyung suggested.

"With some egg." Jungkook said.

"You guys are 'the' best." I said and there was happy smile in my face.

"Let's get to work." I said and we went.

Luckily the room had a kitchen, but not one, two.

This made me even more happy.

"Let's use this one. Looks like the other team has started." I said and went to the empty counter.

"So let's start with rice." I said and directed them.

They did as I said. It was such a great teamwork.

We started with bibimbap.

"Let the rice boil. Now we need toppings for the rice. So Jungkook, mince some meat. Tae, I want you to slice up some spring onions, carrots, garlic and mushrooms. Jimin, I want you to cook the meat while Jungkook is done." I said without breathing.

They looked shocked at me.

"Y/n are you really y/n?" Jimin asked me. I hit him playfully.

"Awwww!" He said like I hit hard.

"Better get back to work." I said.

*after sometime

They had done with the work that I had given them.

"Is the meat cooked?" I asked them and they gave me a blank look.

"Give me an answer." I said.

"Why don't you taste it?" Jimin said and took some meat and fed me.

I tasted and it was cooked out bland.

"It's cooked but it's plain. Put some salt and pepper." I said and he added some.

"Ok. Now you'll make egg. Break it in a pan and cover it for sometime and then that'll be put on the top." I said and Jungkook did it.

It was just perfect. "Check on the rice." I directed. The rice was cooked. I directed them how to plate the bibimbap.

Next was tteok-bokki. This one is a bit tough. But I somehow managed to make them do it.

*after minutes of directing

Finally they finished it. Jungkook knew how to make tteok-bokki. So it was easier for me to direct them.

"Now put some sesame on top with sliced green onions."

The dish was done and ready to go.

"Y/n, do you really want to win this?" Taehyung asked after finishing everything.

"And may I know why do you ask?" I crossed hands and asked him.

"Cause you act like you really want to win this game." He said.

I let out a laugh and said,"Winning is not important. Doing our best is important. Winning comes second, but the first and main important thing is we have do what we can do and we should do our best in what we can do. Take this itself as an example, at the end it'll be a good experience, doing cooking with friends who are there for me. I directed and you guys did your best in this. Winning is not a matter to me."

They were moved by my words.

"Well said y/n, well said." Yoongi oppa said as he came behind me.

I got startled by his sudden entry.

"Oppa Jinjja? You scared me." I said pouting and they laughed.

We sat on the couch together and waited for Jin oppa to come.

*after few minutes

It was 7:45 pm. We all finished on time.

The other group had an advantage though. They had Yoongi oppa, who cooks damn good. They had finished before us.

We set our dishes in the table.

Jin oppa came out from his room and said,"Wow! It smells so good in here."

We all sat down and looked at each other.

"So let's start with Lisa's group." He said and they presented their dish.

They made kimchi fried rice, japchae and an egg roll.

Lisa served us and we all ate. At the first bite, the taste was out of the world.

The egg roll, a simple dish itself tasted damn good. And the japchae and the kimchi fried rice. After eating their food, I had no expectations on ours.

Our plates were clean by eating the delicious food.

"Next, y/n's team." Jin oppa said and I stood up to introduce our menu.

"So my team has made tteok-bokki and bibimbap. Hope you like it." I said and served them.

I served myself some and sat down. I tasted the bibimbap first.

It was actually good. I didn't expect it would taste this good.

Next the tteok-bokki. I couldn't believe my taste buds. It was so good.

It tasted better than mine. If I would've done by my own, It wouldn't have tasted this good.

I didn't mind to look at others reaction. I was so deep in my tasting.

I came back to reality when Jin oppa said,"Ok, as you're all done, let me tell the pros and cons in your dish."

This made me cool. I don't know why but I felt like i was walking on clouds.

I felt cool, calm and relaxed.

"Both your dishes were amazing. In Lisa's team, I loved your kimchi fried rice. The japchae and egg roll was a little less seasoned. Rest all the dishes were tasty." He said and paused.

"Next y/n's team. Your tteok-bokki was so delicious. And the bibimbap was good too, but the egg was a bit salty. Overall the dish was good." He said.

"Ok, now as I said before, I'll tell the results at the end of all the games. Now let's call it a night. Good night and sleep tight." He said and went to his room.

"Ok let's go sleep." I said and got up.

"What? You want to sleep?" Lisa said.

"What? Task is done. I'm really tired, I'm going to sleep." I said and went to my room and flopped on the bed.

As soon as I lay, I fell asleep.
