The Scandal & The Back To Zero
"Are you okay?" Jacques asked as Hugo facetimed him out of frustration.
Hugo sighed as he leaned on the headboard of his bed and didn't really bother himself to look at the screen.
He didn't know why he decided to, he just called him to have something to do because he cannot sleep and he really didn't expect him to answer but he did.
"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" Hugo denied and smiled a little to go with his statement.
Jacques, on the other screen, didn't smile back but leered at him. It didn't matter if he looked at him in such a way because Hugo knows he won't read him like an open book. Jacques doesn't know him at all, how could he read him?
"You seem distressed, Henri. Anything bad happened?" he asked so innocently that Hugo thought he may have misheard him but no, no. What he heard in the first one is right.
