CHAPTER 4

"Madam, it's time to go."Drew said. Leah finished up her breakfast as quickly as she possibly could. After eating she went to her room and she took her backpack, her laptop and her cellphone. She went outside where she found the driver waiting for her.

She got into the car and the driver drove away. She checked the time on her phone and she realised that she still had about an hour until her classes started. This time she was not going to school as Miss Jones, she was going to school as Mrs Copeland. Being married was not a big deal, but it all depends on who you got married to.

Leah being the lucky one in other people's eyes married a wealthy and powerful man, but now Leah thought that she was unlucky. She had expected her married life to be the one that she dreamed of but it was horrible. She had only been married to Alexander for less than forty eight hours but she was starting to regret it, but what she was supposed to do, it was all for her dad and her family.

"We are here."The driver said and Leah took a deep breath and she got out of the car. She was so nervous about today, it felt like it was her first time here but it wasn't.

"Alright Leah, just because you married an asshole doesn't mean that you are different now. You are the same Leah that you were before, just continue being yourself."She said to herself. "Well that should work."She said as she walked into the building.

As soon as she walked into the building all the students that were inside started giving her weird looks, they looked at her like she was their enemy, especially the girls. She just decided to ignore them and she made her way into her class. She got inside and she put her things on her seat. Just as things couldn't get any worse, the university's barbie, Candace Brown walked in with her squad. She looked at Leah like she was some kind of disgusting creature that did not deserve to walk on this earth.

Leah just decided that it was best for her to ignore her, because she was in no mood to talk to someone like her. "Look at you, acting all high and mighty now that you've married my man."Candace said, standing in front of Leah and she put her hand on Leah's backpack.

"Your man? Candace don't you feel ashamed of yourself? You lied to the entire school about Alex being your man. You know I heard that he hates women like you, I just wonder what he is going to do to you when he finds out that you have been lying about being in a relationship with him."Leah said.

"Do you seriously think that I am afraid of you? I have known Alexander longer than anyone did. I am his childhood sweetheart."She said.

"Really? You know what, let me just give him a call and ask him."She said and she picked her phone up from the table, she unlocked it but as soon as she was about to dial.his number, Candace stopped her by grabbing her phone.

"Don't you dare!"She said.

"Why? I just want to verify what you are saying."She said with a smile on her face. "What's the matter Candace? Are you scared that if I call him and ask him he will deny it, or maybe he might even come here and humiliate you because you lied?"Leah asked.

"You know what? I am going to make you regret this."She said slamming Leah's phone on the desk and then she walked out of the classroom with her face red with anger. Leah just shook her head and she sat down on her chair. She was in no mood to go outside, or interact with anyone. She just planned on sitting there until.the classes started.

A few minutes later her male best friend David walked in with his usual bright smile on his face. "Hey there Mrs Copeland."He said as he sat next to her.

"Can you not call me that? Just call me Leah like before."She said, rolling her eyes. It really felt weird for her to be called that. She was still trying to get used to it.

"Why? I thought that it was something that you wanted, I mean all the women would do absolutely anything to get that title."He said.

"Not me. I never wanted this anyway but I had no choice. I had to do it for my dad if I didn't then you know what would have happened to my father's company."She said looking at her friend.

"Yeah that sucks, but hey look on the bright side, at least you did something that saved your dad's company, even if you don't want it but you should be proud of yourself."He said.

"Yeah, you are right. I am sure that my dad is happy."She said.

"Hey, is your husband as bad as they say he is?"He asked. Leah sighed, to her he was much worse. She didn't understand why he had to treat her like that, his own wife. Who dies thar? Well ding dong! Alexander Copeland does.

"I don't know, I mean I haven't really spent time with him. We've only been married for less than forty eight hours, so I still need time."She said, She did not want to lie to him, but at the same time she did not want to tell him the truth either.

"So how is he? You know…"He said, winking at her. Leah already knew what he meant.

"Ew, what is wrong with you? I am not telling you that. What happens in our bedroom stays in our bedroom, so no I am not going to tell you a thing about our sexual life."She said, the worst part was that she was still a virgin and Alexander did not even touch her on their wedding night, nor did she get to sleep in the same room with her.

"Hey, I just want to know if this cold-hearted beast can do it."He said.

"Don't call my husband a beast okay?"She said.

"Okay, okay I won't."He said and then the bell rang. "Well it's time for class and Miss Courtney is first, she is going to make sure that you won't have a pleasant lesson."He said. Miss Courtney was one of her lecturers and she did not like Leah for some reason she did not know. It's like she was not supposed to like her and now that she was married to her dream man, she was probably going to ruin her day before it even started, that was always what she did everytime she was in class.
