"I do not understand what you mean and Why should I answer you on this matter?" Cheng Lan scoffed.
Ji Yan laughed lightly and grabbed the Demonic beast's right hand and said "It stands me in good stead today that fate decided that you belong to the most honest tribe. Your demonic beast tribe which lies on the frontier between the Ancient Dragon continent and Divine Phoenix Land, driving out those Cat tribe Demi-humans, the reunion of which younger ones regard as a work worthy of accomplishment by all means."
Hearing the praise of Ji Yan, Cheng Lan's ego had soared high, but he didn't show it on the surface.
Because despite the egoistic persona by which a person might solely judge him, Cheng Lan is a sly traitor who killed an Elemental realm expert. It's just that no matter what type of evil they are, they all pale in comparison to the Living Contradiction and instead make fools of themselves.
So, despite how foolish Cheng Lan may look in front of Ji Yan and his perspective, he is the one with a dark green Middle Dantian.
To cultivate this dark green Middle Dantian fully, he had to eat the heart of an Elemental realm master and kill his wife and son so he could change his mediocre talent. Due to this, he has also gained quite a reputation for his brutality in the Dark World layer of small realms.
"Would you come to the point?" Cheng Lan asked.
Ji Yan shrugged his shoulders and laughed once to calm down the tension.
"Are we not made in the image of Almighty Immortal God? You also believe in that don't you?" Ji Yan asked.
"If the Young master believes so then who am I to refuse."
Ji Yan hit the nail on the target, knowing that the Demonic Beast must have lived a long life and therefore must have faced inequality.
While the Upper realm Humans in their rule's very short span of period had given equal status to all the non-human species and gave rights and treatments to the bad species which any Scholar or Cultivator would get. All because of getting into the true heaven.
But here was the twist. An upper-realm human was strictly restricted from intermarrying or having any social intercourse with an outsider species. And there were penalties and social punishments that outclassed anything.
In only certain cases where the dominant figure with greater prestige is a Human male who is marrying the outsider in the interest of General citizens and the Empire that would be allowed.
Therein The Demonic beasts had no unequal laws imposed on themselves but many laws that Humans imposed on themselves to maintain their power created unjust kinds of discrimination.
'Helping others is helping oneself and as we both are created in 'HIS' image, I shall assist you in this game,' Ji Yan telepathically said to Cheng Lan in the Dog tribe demonic beast language so the demonic tree would not be able to hear them and in case he intercepts the telepathic communication it would not be something he would understand.
"What do you mean by help?"
Ji Yan didn't say further and just kept his composure to make Cheng Lan's thoughts wander here and there.
And as Ji Yan expected a warm sensation had started to envelope Cheng Lan.
Cheng Lan, despite his sly and ruthless reputation, had faced significant hardships throughout his life.
He lived through the pre-orthodox era when segregation was rampant, and he was bullied as a youngster by his higher-species peers. While the Dragons, Phoenix, Whale tribes, Fox Tribes, and many others held high status as Holy Beast Species, the Cat tribes, Dog tribes, Rabbit tribes, and other Demonic Beast species were bullied by the Holy Beast Species.
Later The rise of many Human Saints led humans to become the apex species in the primordial profound world, becoming the backbone of this structure.
Cheng Lan still remembers those days vividly and Society, in its own harsh way, had shaped him as if he had not embraced brutality, he would have been killed.
So Ji Yan's deductions thus far were indeed correct. In many aspects and ways, Ji Yan had come to understand Cheng Lan even more profoundly.
By first grabbing Cheng Lan's hand confidently and conditioning him to go as far as to speak his tribal language, Ji Yan made Cheng Lan feel more familiar with him.
And because Ji Yan was harsh to him before but was now quite kind, Cheng Lan thought there must have been some misunderstanding or he melted the heart of Ji Yan but what does he mean by help? does he know.....
"You joined this game for thrills?" Ji Yan changed the subject.
Cheng Lan didn't answer for a bit of time and said, "I don't know. It just felt like my circumstances could change."
"I played for the price. They didn't tell us earlier but I anticipated it."
Cheng Lan looked at Ji Yan and asked crudely, "Which family you belong?"
"I don't got no family. They abandoned me but I ain't a giver. I earned money through hard work and my wife's support…This is why I especially need the price." Ji Yan answered matching his way.
"You look young."
"Age has no correlation with it. I was a hard-working, mediocre talent who worked very hard."
Cheng Lan could hear and smell there was not a lie in Ji Yan words except when he talked about his wife's support.
Ji Yan lied when he said that he earned money through his wife support and this made Cheng Lan appreciate Ji Yan even more because this showed that this youngster not only worked hard like him but also was humble enough to give his wife the credit.
"The peace and harmony of a home largely rests on a woman so It's not wrong to say that your wife supported you. Only through harmony can a man pursue eternal relationship with Almighty Immortal God."
"Wives and Husband are one energy. One is masculine and the others are feminine."
"But Young master How can a man be only masculine when we are created in 'HIS' image and he breathes out these qualities and images."
"The Almighty Immortal God, our Father and Master, created man and women in His image, but there is a difference between us. We all have complementary roles in this life, and life is a drama. One day, we will all be rewarded for our karma here or otherwise be trapped eternally in the Samsara."
"So Young master you mean to say man is supposed to remain masculine always."
"No Brother Cheng Lan, A man can be feminine and a woman can be masculine. As long as they complement each other and play their role correctly. Who are we to judge? Only Almighty Immortal God has the right to do so. "
"Haaa Young master you are a real scholar not some fraud haaa" Cheng Lan burst out laughing.
"Brother Cheng Lan, I'm still a trainee…it was my lifelong dream, but I forgot my ways. And my dream vanished like how the happiness arising of pleasure vanishes. Nothing comes out by cursing fate when circumstances throw you over the cliff."
"Ohh then why not test your past?" The demonic tree suddenly intervened.
The Audience watched the show that were unfolding before them and many Immortals sitting beyond the zenith of the horizon placed their bets on Ji Yan.
Ji Yan looked at the Demonic tree.
Ji Yan got up.
Ji Yan laughed.
There remained silence and then Ji Yan finally asked, "You want me to prove I dreamt of becoming a scholar when that poor human lady is no longer with us, and brother Qiangsheng Tanji is not able to come out of the shock…... And perhaps.... You" Ji Yan stopped and continued, keeping his hands on his face as if he was feeling guilty about what he was about to say, ".... are the killer."
