Look at the man. He is pale, full of anger and His eyes are devoid of sleep and completely red. His clothes are dignified, and he seem to belong to someone civilized.

I look at him with pity as he screams.

"Why, why me?"

"Why, you ask?" I retorted, my voice dripping with malice. "You already know the answer to that question. You meddled where you shouldn't have. You could have stayed out of it, but no, you had to stick your nose where it didn't belong."

My words cut through him like a knife.

"If only you had listened to me," I continued, my tone laced with false sympathy. "If only you had given up, none of this would have happened. But now, your death is necessary for the greater good. For the sake of those in higher positions, you understand, don't you? Now DRINK this, It'd ensure your family's safety and my Promotion."

He perhaps wanted to scream again, to curse me for my treachery, but ultimately found himself powerless against my cruel intentions. All he could do was watch helplessly as he forced the vial to his lips, the liquid burning as it slid down his throat.

People might call me evil but there are two most important things for me, and that is promotion and money. The more I grew in social standing, the more my greed became endless. 

I know, I'm not a genius despite graduating from the costliest school and best college. I can't handle a candle to toppers but despite that, I landed a job in the Police department and now I'm a Senior Superintendent. I'll soon be promoted despite my inexperience and incompetence. why? I betrayed and sold out my friend and got this as a reward. I would just need to be cautious forever to make sure I don't meet such an end. My life will be sailing smoothly.

..... This is how it was supposed to be, but I learned by chance in a medical test some years later, that my death is approaching soon and it's inevitable.

It was not a big deal as I could use my black money without just saving and start indulging myself into worldly pleasure and I could donate a bit of money to charity, so People remember me as a good guy.

What good would it have done by being salty toward fate and cussing it, surely it would not change the result.

Two years passed this way.

I was lying on my bed and started losing consciousness. Maybe this was the end. I had no regrets. People sympathized with me and thought good of me. I died in a large luxurious bungalow. I didn't die as a Virgin. 

...but fate had different plans.
