Chapter 72

Just like that the days went by.

Syl was forced by Kushida to study.

He reluctantly complied when she pulled out the video…

Anyway, Syl's terrible love life aside!

Things went well! Class D was feeling refreshed and the studying was going well.

The Ayanokoji group had formed, which led to a new scenario within the class.

"Kiyopon~!" Syl called out as he jumped on Ayanokoji's back.

Ayanokoji sighed. "Do you have to do this every morning?"

Syl poked his cheek. "Is my little Kiyopon upset? This won't do! We must purge those who upset him! Now off! Into the sunset!"

Syl pointed towards the class over Ayanokoji's shoulder as he rode piggyback.

Ayanokoji sighed and carried him to class… again…

When they arrived Syl hopped off his back and chuckled. "My noble steed is the best!"

He laughed as he ran into class. "Angel~! I missed you!"

He ran over to Kushida who blushed and smiled. "I missed you too darling."

The people surrounding Kushida all sighed. "Again…" They all muttered.

They were starting to get used to it!

So much PDA!

Too much fluff!

They were so jealous!

Class went by as usual.

After class Syl went with Horikita who wanted to meet up with Ichinose.

When they arrived. Syl smiled and waved. "Hey, Ichynose!"

"Hey, Syl! But, what did you just call me?"

Syl tilted his head. "Ichinose, was that wrong?"

She mumbled. "I could have swore he said something else…"

Syl inwardly chuckled, she was so gullible!

Then he spotted someone. "Ah! Good luck you two! I'm gonna go!"

Horikita tried to stop him but she was too late. Both girls just decided to meet and talk without him.

Syl ran down the hall.

"Sensei~!" He called out.

The person Syl called out to started walking faster.

Syl frowned. "What's wrong with her?" He mumbled.

Then he shrugged. "Who knows?"

He chased after her to find out.

Eventually she went to the roof.

Syl was too busy chasing her to even realize how weird it was that she went to the roof for no reason in the middle of the day.

"Chie! What's up?" Syl asked.

Hoshinomiya turned to face him. "Why are you following me?"

"Eh? Uhh… I just haven't seen you in a while. I wanted to talk. Are you busy or something?"

Chie smiled innocently. "I always have time for a cute student!"

Syl smiled. "Great! What's up? How's the special exam going?"

Chie pouted. "How mean~! You're just trying to get information about my class out of me!"

Syl looked shocked. "What? No! I'm not!"

Chie leaned in and giggled in his ear. "I'm just kidding~!"

Syl gulped when he felt her breath tickle his ear.

He suddenly felt slightly guilty, even though he wasn't really dating Kushida… Syl had always hated cheaters.

He subconsciously stepped back and made distance.

Chie pouted. "What's wrong? You usually love this."

Syl chuckled nervously. "Well, it's just… you know…"

Chie walked around behind him and popped her head over his shoulder. "Your girlfriend?"

Syl reluctantly nodded.

"Mou~ I can't believe you would do this! What about me? Am I not cute enough~?" She leaned forward and her chest pressed against Syl's back.

Syl stiffened and froze up for a moment before taking a step forward and separating himself from Chie.

"Sorry, I just remembered I have something to do." He said sadly as he walked away.

Chie watched him go and pouted.

"Thieving cat. That's my cutie." She muttered.

Syl walked down the hallways and ended up passing Horikita and Ichinose again.

"Hey! Where did you go?!" Horikita asked angrily.

Syl looked up at her. "Nowhere, sorry. Do you still need help?"

Horikita shook her head. "Yeah, you have to…"

Syl tuned out the rest of her words.

"... questions. Got it?" Horikita finished.

Syl looked up at her with confused eyes. "Sorry, I didn't catch that."

Horikita furrowed her brow. "Were you just not listening? I-"

Ichinose cut her off. "Horikita! I think Syl's just really tired! Maybe we should let him have today off?"

Horikita sighed. "Fine, go."

Syl nodded absentmindedly and walked away.

Horikita looked at him for a moment. "What's wrong with him?"

Ichinose chuckled and looked away. "Haha! Who knows?"

Horikita sighed. "You're right, now back to the exam…"

Ichinose nodded and they continued discussing things.

Syl returned to class and Kushida walked up to him. "Hey, darling! Ready for today's study session?"

Syl looked at her with empty eyes. "Sorry, I don't think I can make it today, I'm really tired." He walked past her and grabbed his stuff. "Next time for sure." He said as he walked away.

Kushida looked stunned, she grit her teeth and mumbled angrily. "Did someone hurt him?"

"Why don't you study with us then?" One of the girls offered.

Kushida put her fake smile back on. "Sorry, I think I'll take a break today too. Don't want to tire myself out!"

The other girls acknowledged this and Kushida left.

"Who hurt my darling? I'll kill them. Who hurt my darling? I'll kill them. Who hurt my darling? I'll kill them. Who hurt my darling? I'll kill them. Who hurt my darling? I'll kill them…" She muttered over and over again as she walked home.

Syl returned home and saw a letter in his mailbox. He opened it and saw it was just someone slandering Ichinose.

He ripped it up and threw it on the floor as he entered his room.

He walked to the training room and threw his bag in the corner.

He walked over and started furiously pounding on a punching bag.

After a few seconds and nearly 100 punches he threw a hard right and put a whole in the bag as it flew off the rack, landing next to a pile of tens of other bags in the exact same shape.

Syl let out a deep breath and started again with kicks as a new bag was automatically set up by the house.

An hour later.

Syl left the room and got a glass of water before cooking himself dinner and going to bed.
