Claimed by my Guardian Angel.

Wanting to find answers about the disappearance of her roommate who hadn't returned back after entering the young Master Marcos room, Anna walked outside the Mansion to the backyard where Young Master Marcos often visits at midnight. She saw him standing with his hands tucked into his front pocket looking at the butler who was holding a shovel in his hand. He was digging a pit at the late hour of the night. "What are you--" Anna stumbled on her footsteps, making her fall on the ground. On hearing a female voice, Marcos turned around to see Anna standing near one of the graves holding a lantern. "What do you think I'm doing?" The corner of his lips tugged up with a cunning smile. "Burying a maid who refused to obey instructions." Anna took couple steps and she froze on that spot. Close to the butler was the dead body of her roommate! "Victoria!" "I told her to make me coffee and she made me tea instead." He put two and two together and his eyes went from her head to toe. "Maidens like you are supposed to be either on bed or working in the kitchen at this time. Anna what are you doing in the middle of the night all alone? Did you come here to seduce me again?" At his words, her face flushed with pink blush and she tried to avoid his gaze. "That is not true." As the butler was about to place the dead body into the grave, Marcos stopped him by raising his hand. "Find a way to dispose this body. We will be burying Anna instead." She felt her heart sink into her stomach at his words.

Proper burial

"He's gone." Anna sighed, looking at Marcos.

"Stay here. I will be right back." He said before opening the door to the barn and walked inside. The only thing he could see was horses feeding. There was no one in there. Where did he disappeared to?

He stepped out of the barn to see the man's hands wrapped around Anna's neck.

"Nice play." He commented with a smile.

"Don't come any closer or I will snap her neck." The man warned.

"Who are you?" Marcos asked, watching the man with keen eyes.

"I should be asking you that question . Who are you?" The man asked.

"What do you want with Anna?" Marcos took a step forward and the man tighten his grip on Anna.

"Revenge." He spat. "My daughter died mysteriously while working in your house."

"I am not here for that." Marcos spoke calmly. "You know of a woman named Rose?"

"She's my wife." The man replied.

"Well then...." He smiled. "You know what you did. You killed Mr. Conner."

"I did what I had to." The man said. "What? She cheated on me and you think I will let both of them go free? I killed her together with her lover."

"That has nothing to do with Anna. Leave the girl alone." Marcos glared at him.

"I know what you are. I have done so much research on the Windsor family. You are not an ordinary man, Marcos." He told him.

"How long have you been aware of me?" Marcos asked.

"Recently..... Since I heard the news of my daughter. I never get to see her corpse or give her a proper burial. You did that to her. You bloody murderer!" The man yelled. "And I swear in God's name if you step any more closer I will snap her head off."

"This is between you and me.... Not her." Marcos tried to convince him to let go of Anna. "Let's go inside and negotiate."

"I don't talk with monsters like you. You want me in so you can put a stake in me, don't you?" He tilted his head.

"If you think you are going to revenge on your daughter's death by killing her, it would not end very well for you." Marcos eyes was becoming darker.

"I want to see my daughter. I need to do a proper burial for her. The people here would think I kill her if they don't see her corpse." He told him.

"She is dead and buried underneath the ground. Now leave the girl alone. You are wasting so much time." Marcos said to him.

Marcos was already tired talking with the man. With immortal speed, he ran off to stand behind him. The glint in his eyes changed into that of a demon. Without wasting much time, he snapped the man's neck off.

The man fell on the ground and Marcos closed his eyes to remove the dark lines that had formed at the corner of his eyes.

Anna raised her hand to cover her mouth. Seeing the man not move but lay on the ground lifeless, her body shook with fear. She had not witness someone for a long time and the only time it happened was many years ago when her mother died in the church.

No she can never be with this man, Anna thought. He was a cold blooded murderer!

"Afraid?" He smiled at her sweetly. "Why did you suddenly turned numb? Never seen a person die before?"

"You killed him." Her body was shaking with so much sweat. Her eyes moved from Marcos to the man who was laying lifeless on the ground.

"Yes I did." He nodded.

"And you don't feel any remorse in what you did? The man was clearly innocent." She protested.

"No he was not." Marcos shook his head. "He would have killed you if I hadn't stopped him."

As if realizing something, her lips paused to look at him. "You was standing right there. How did you move so fast to me?"

"Is there something wrong with that?" He asked.

"You...." She sighed. "What did the old man mean when he said you don't age?"

"You heard him. He must have mistaken me for someone else. He's an old man, their memory loses as they age." He told her.

"But...."

"Shh...." He pressed his thumb on her lips. "Now if you would let me..... I should dispose this body before someone finds out."

"You would do what?" She looked at him and as if realizing something, she started running.

Marcos stared at her as she ran away from him with amusement dancing around his eyes. Just one large step and he already caught her by her dress.

"Let go of me." She struggled to free herself from him but he held her so tight. She swallowed hard nervously when her eyes met with his.

"For a maid like you..... You have committed so much havoc in just a day. Seems like the punishment wasn't good enough for you. We should open this bag to see what is in here." He smiled when her expression turned into shock.

"No..... Please don't open it!" She exclaimed with fear. She cursed herself for that she would have to beg this man everyday not to open the bag. Was he doing it on purpose to punish her more?

"Why?" He brought his nose to smell the black bag and his nose shrieked in disgust. "Now tell me..... What is in here? What are you hiding from me?"

Anna felt her body go dizzy. Her heart drummed with fear at his question. No matter how she tried to hide the truth, one day they would find out. She didn't want to be locked up in a small cell and being used everyday for cosmetic. She knew she would go through hell just to be used by the people. At the thought of it, fear engulfed her heart.

"There is nothing in there. Just please don't open it." She pleaded.

"I would do so only if you comply with me. Now come... We need to dispose the body before the people finds out." He smiled at her.

"That is not good." She said.

"What?" He turned to her.

"We can't dispose the body. We need to bury him properly so it won't cause sleepless night to any of us." She told him.

"I don't care." He chuckled. "He's a criminal. He killed his wife and a man."

"And you killed his daughter. I just witnessed his death. We must give him a proper burial." She told him.

"Okay." He said before leaving.
