Chapter 33

The last time Francheska saw him was when he tried to stopped her from going abroad. But still, she ignored him and left the city. Francheska suddenly remembered a distant memory where he deeply stared at her eyes as tells her that when she meets him again in the future, he will surely not let her go again.

"Race..." She mutters his name softly.

The moment he heard his name from Francheska's lips, his pale and thin lips curved upwards.

"It's been a while, my little fairy."

Race carefully helped Francheska to stand up. He ignored the stare she was giving to him. Francheska cannot believe that she will meet him in this place. This encounter was truly unexpected.

"Are you alright?" Race asked her.

Francheska did not answer right away. Instead, she took two steps backward to put a distance between them. Race did not show any reaction to her action. Instead, he showed her a light smile.

"It seems like you did not injure yourself. That's a relief."

Giselle, on the other hand, cursed Francheska's luck this time. She felt a little hate towards the man who saved that bitch just now. Giselle composed herself and showed a concerned look on her face. Afterward, she slowly approached Francheska.

"I'm so sorry, Miss Francheska. It was an accident. I am actually rushing to go back to the audition room and I did not see you while I am walking too fast. I'm really sorry."

Francheska looked at Giselle's pitiful appearance just now. Her head was lowered and her eyes were misty as if she will cry anytime if she did not forgive her. Francheska scoffed inwardly. Of course, Giselle will use the same tactic that Rachel had used to gather a lot of sympathy from other people. But before Francheska can answer her, Race faced Giselle with a stern look.

"Miss, do you even know how to use your eyes?" Race sarcastically asked.

"What?"

"I can see that you have a pair of eyes. So why don't you use it? Do not tell me that your eyes are only a decoration for your small face?"

Francheska and Giselle looked at Race and they both showed a different reaction. Giselle was dumbfounded to hear the sarcastic remarks of the man who saved Francheska earlier. As for Francheska, she was looking at him with a little amusement in her eyes. She suddenly remembers the fact that Race has a sharp and blunt tongue.

Before Giselle can answer him, Race looked at Francheska with a smile.

"I have an urgent meeting to attend so I am now going. See you later, Ms. Francheska."

"But-"

"I am joining you and Mr. Lin later at dinner. My company is looking for an ambassador for our new latest product. Our PR department chose you to become our ambassador."

"...Oh."

Francheska remembered that Rissa mentioned something that there is a company that wants to get her as their ambassador, but she did not pay too much attention to it because she was busy thinking about her short vacation. But she did not expect that it was Race's company who wants her to be their ambassador.

"Let us talk about the details later. I am going now, Ms. Francheska."

Race showed a smile at her before leaving. He did not spare another glance at Giselle who was still standing beside them and listening to their conversation. When Giselle heard that Francheska is getting a new endorsement, she secretly balled her hands into tight fists. When Francheska cannot see his back anymore, she also walked away to go back to the audition room. But Giselle stopped her again.

"Why did you return to this city?" Giselle asked. "Do you want to become an embarrassment in this city once again?"

Francheska stopped walking and slowly turn her head to look at Giselle. Her pitiful appearance a while ago was replaced with a fierce expression. Francheska raised an eyebrow and showed Giselle a questioning look.

"And why would I become an embarrassment in this city?" questioned Francheska.

Giselle scoffed when she heard her question.

"Have you forgotten the things you did in the past? You almost destroyed papa's business and embarrassed him with his business partners."

"Papa?" Francheska asked before letting out a laugh. "What about it?"

"What do you mean by that? You are the main cause of why his business plummeted before."

"Am I?" She asked. "As far as I know, the true culprit of that was your mother. Have you forgotten that your mother was having an affair with my driver at that time and you just pushed all the blame on me and made me your scapegoat?"

"You!"

"And also, why should I care about Mr. Tan anymore? We are not related with each other."

"That's..."

That's right. Giselle had forgotten for a moment that Francheska decided to cut off her ties with Damian before she left the city years ago. She was now using her mother's surname and never contacted her father. Not even once.

"If you have no more nonsensical things to tell me, then I have to go now."

Francheska quickly left Giselle and ignored her existence. She does not want to ruin her mood just because of her. Instead, she goes back to her dressing room to have a talk with Rissa. She wanted to know the other details about her dinner meeting with her boss and Race later.

When Francheska was out of her sight, Giselle stomped her foot on the tiled floor. She really hates that bitch! Giselle can still remember how docile and naive that woman when she first met her. It seems like that woman had really changed.

"Giselle? What are you doing here?"

When the familiar voice called her out, Giselle quickly changed her expression. She looked at Iñigo with a sad face.

"Brother Iñigo, I saw sister Francheska just now." Giselle murmured in a low but audible voice. "But she just flatly ignored me."

Iñigo furrowed his eyebrows but did not say anything.

"Brother, I just wanted to say hello to her. But she..."

"Forget it. She was not worthy of our time." Iñigo said before smoothly changing the topic. "How was your audition?"

"Oh! It was good! I think the judges like me."

"Really? That's good." Iñigo said with a smile. "Then we should have an early celebration. We should eat in a good restaurant tonight. My treat."

"Okay!" Giselle excitedly answered.

"Just wait here for a moment. I will call your sister to join us." Iñigo said before he fished out his phone and dialed Rachel's phone number.

Giselle's smile faltered a little, but she quickly fixed it. She thought Iñigo wanted to spend more time with her tonight. After a few minutes, Iñigo faced her again. He said that Rachel will be available later so she can join them at dinner. Nodding her head, Giselle acted so sweetly in front of Iñigo and left the building together.
