Heading Home!

Haisei frowned.

"Why? Is there something wrong?" Ayana looked concerned and curious too. Hitoshi' eyes fought between the two of his parents and he instantly felt like all the pressure in the world was on his shoulders.

He wanted to lie, but the image of the list of traits he had written down- half-jokingly, popped up in his head.

'Damn it... Am I going to be forced to tell the truth if I try to lie? This could be bad...' Inwardly he was a mess, but outwardly he was rubbing the back of his head like a shy child that had just gotten caught doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing.

The more Hitoshi weighed the chances, he figured this could be his chance to see if it actually works. After all, Hitoshi never had a reason to lie until now. He had kept up his child act for four years so there were never any slip ups.

He let out a shaky breath- 'Fuck it- '

His head fell dramatically as he hid his tearing eyes from his parents.

Holding a palm out, he spoke: "I-I can't do anything other than generate a tiny flame..." Following his command, a tiny flame followed suit.

A glowing, pinkish-orange core, flickering with vigor and heat. As the flame grew slightly bigger, deep red-hot flames surrounded its core, painting the picture of a mythical flame bathed with divine essence.

It was an astonishing, blinding beauty.

A wonder of the world.

Surprisingly enough, it wasn't too difficult for Haisei to swing his weight around and avoid getting Hitoshi' quirk registered. After all, when their son got emitted, they hadn't done any prior tests other than making sure he was hooked up to IV, and making sure his cardiac system and respiratory system were in check.

The only thing that really troubled them would've been them having to dodge and navigate through the press that appeared outside when a photo of the Sato family appearing in the hospital with stern faces while Haisei, a pro-hero, carried his son to the reception desk.

It was quite a dramatic flick, but Haisei couldn't really find it in himself to be angry...

The doors to their car shut and the press and reporters immediately become muffled. The clacks and knocks of their cameras and microphones slamming against the car windows were recurring, but the Sato family remained unbothered.

"Just honk at them, Haisei." The man hummed, "No. I have a better way." Flashing a grin at Hitoshi in rear-view mirror and to his wife, Haisei snapped his fingers and instantly the car they were in became weightless.

Ayana chuckled, "Oh~ Hitoshi don't look! Your father's giving you bad ideas!" Hitoshi giggled childishly, finding it in him to resume his child-like appearance.

As the car took flight and soared high in the city-lit sky, Hitoshi had fallen deep into his thoughts once again. His eyes were closed, his head hanging limp as he had a steady breath.

Ayana smiled seeing that sight. She assumed her son was asleep.

But in reality, Hitoshi was back in his mindscape. The ever-present list of traits was present but the thing that had caught Hitoshi' attention the most was the giant, raging flame that consumed everything within this inner "world."

Hitoshi had a frown, he wasn't scared. He couldn't feel the heat off the flames and the color of the flame looked much like the one he had just shone his parents before they left that room.

"Is this because of my quirk? This is strange." He muttered, scratching his chin. His gaze wondered back over to the list.

He found a new addition. At the very bottom, under "Absolute Immortality," read, "Flames of Ragnorok."

As the fire around him crackled and flickered, Hitoshi just sighed. "...What does this mean? A 'quirk' that's already been given a name. Its on my trait list too- does that mean it's not a quirk but an inherent trait of mine now?"

If that was the case, he would be safe from All for One. He can't steal traits- Those are intangible.

Shaking his head, Hitoshi let out a heavy breath. "Okay... Well, nothing changed. That's nice." Closing his eyes in his mindscape opened his eyes in the real world. Yawning as he found himself back in the backseat of his father' car- He stretched.

"Are we home?" To which Ayana hummed, "Yep~ Now when we get in the house go take a bath and come back down to eat. Afterwards you need to get ready for bed, you have a long day tomorrow." Flashing a smile back towards him, Ayana left him with confusion.

She hopped out of the car before he could ask anything else, so naturally his attention shifted to his father. "Dad? What does she mean?" Haisei chuckled, "Just listen to your mom."

And then he closed the door.

Sitting in silence, Hitoshi groaned.

"I'm gonna be nurtured!"

The next day started exactly how he thought it would. Haisei had burst into Hitoshi' room bright and early at the break of dawn. He was then forced to eat a big hearty, healthy breakfast stacked with all the important nutrients, proteins and minerals one would need to grow big and strong.

After that, he was dragged to the very top floor of the Sato penthouse.

The training facility.

With reinforced walls made of the strongest alloys with some quirk dampening technology built in; There were no windows, no TV's... The only things that were present in the room were all things Hitoshi would've loved if his body was in its teenage years.

But at the bright age of four? It looked like hell.

Haisei stood in the middle of the room, dressed in casual athletic shorts, some white socks and a black tank top.

Hitoshi was much the same, however everything was black.

Smiling big and bright, Haisei plopped to the ground.

"First things first. Lets talk about your quirk."
