Lillian's Sadness

Miller had just arrived in the school Hall and as expected it was all full with students both first year and second years respectively. Miller started looking for his roommates (Watson and Alex).

'Where could they have possibly sat down?' Miller thought confused. There are in total, three school halls in the school. There is one mainly for first years and another mainly for second years. There is a third one which is three times bigger than the two combined. Currently the principal hasn't arrived, but some teachers had, the place wasn't completely silent as student could be heard discussing here and there.

Using his eyes to check to look for them. A notification screen appeared at his retina coloured in green words which came from the System:

[Your Eye Sight has levelled up]

[Insight Level 5 Achieved]

[Wide Spectrum Vision]

[The user's sight expands to encompass a broader range of the electromagnetic spectrum, granting the ability to see infrared or ultraviolet light]

'Wow, that's gonna help. Especially when i fight people with super speed.' Miller thought.

Finally his eyes had seen them and they were sitting at almost the end of the line. The hall had around seven columns and they were sitting at the fifth column; almost at the last line.

Miller started heading towards them, not before his nose started to pick up a particular scent. He knew this scent very well. It was a scent of a Vampire. Using his Inspect, he started to scan them all. They were all Vampires.

'I knew Alex wasn't the only Vampire in this school. But i didn't expect this many.' Miller thought worried.

When passing that particular place, all of the Vampires looked at him. There was one person in particular he knew his name and face. It was Arthur.

Arthur waved his hand towards Miller. Honestly, speaking Miller didn't feel comfortable with the fact that Arthur waves his hand towards him. The other Vampires had a confused look on their face how Arthur and this guy knew each other. The way Arthur waved his hand was like they had been friend for quite a long time. Arthur had sat with Miller on the first day of the Martial Arts class and usually sit close to him every Martial Arts class. The two of them talked, but it was usually brief and short. Alex on the other hand usually went to meet Catherine and looking from an angle, Miller could see Catherine laughing at his joke. Using his super Hearing most times in Martial Arts class, he would hear the jokes and to be honest, he didn't find them funny.

'Maybe it's because I am a bit jealous.' Miller thought whenever he saw that, it happened.

As Miller walked past the Vampires he saw how they all looked at him, without a doubt, he knew it had to do with his smell.

When Miller got close to them. Alex as his usual funny self started waving at Miller. Like Miller couldn't see them in the first place. This all made them chuckle.

"Where's Lillian?" Miller asked as he took a seat close to Catherine. Catherine was by his left, followed by Alex and then lastly Watson; who had been quite every since.

"Lillian needs space." Catherine said as she paused a bit, Miller could understand what she meant. Lillian had been somber because of Emily's situation. He also feels sad, but not as sad as Lillian.

Using his newly improved eye sight, he was able to see Lillian who was sitting on her own. Using his eye sight again, he was able to see Jason, who strangely was sitting on his own. He knew Jason was always surrounded by his fellow school bullies. So why the hell did he sit on his own? Did Catherine disappearance really affect him this much? Was he feeling guilty about the whole thing?

"Hey, Miller..." Catherine wanted to institute a conversation with Miller, but before she could complete her sentence Miller had already stood up from his seat and was heading to where Lillian was.

Catherine's face immediately went a little bit sad. It was like Miller ignored her, but she let it go because she knew he was going to comfort Lillian. Who was she, besides, and she is not his close friend and she hadn't even concerned herself with Emily disappearance as much as the others.

"Hey, Catherine..." Alex said as started to institute a conversation with her. He also cracked jokes to make her smile.

Over to Lillian's side, Miller had now sat close to her and comforted her with his words. Lillian's head was now leaned on Miller's shoulders as she kept on weeping. Tears fell down her cheek. Looking at the two, a stranger would think that they were an item.

Finally, the principal had arrived and the entire hall fell into a hush silence. Behind him was Bradley Stones and some of his Anti-Meta Human Officers followed behind him. None of the Anti-Meta Human Officers wore and helmet and Someone was noticed by Watson. It was his cousin; Gavin Simmons.

'Oh Fuck Him.' Watson thought in anger. he remembered how Gavin treated him during the Full Moon day (chapter 164).

Other Mutants started to enter the hall one by one and one of them caught Miller's attention. He saw Selena; one of the Anti-Meta Human travellers soldiers in The Planet of Citarada.

Miller remembered her power. It was one that would be able to detect if you were telling a lie or not and possibilly make you tell the truth.

"Everyone get in your lines. Each Mutant is going to focus on one of the line. So everyone stay in lines." Bradley Stones commanded. "The Truth must be found."
