Choosen (Legacy Of Gods) 1: The New Recruit

Chosen (Legacy Of Gods) - Chapter 1: "The New recruit"

-The myths, the legends and the folkrore tales comes from somewhere, the believe of higher life forms than humans have been something studied from ancient times, the pyramids of aegis, the ruins of the mactecs, the bones of living being that do not resemble anything we know so far, all of them are believed to be part of the era in which the gods often descended to our realm, the world has long forgotten the gods, but that doesn't mean they do not exist, for they have not forgotten us -

Said the old man as thanks for the help the demi elf boy who stopped the tief who grabbed the old man's supermarket bag

You have to be careful sir, this place is very dangerous - said the boy,

Indeed it was a very dangerous place, it was  the slums of the Capital of the kingdom of badin, a lawless place where the law of  "survival of the strong" took another meaning, a place where even the military force of the kingdom didn't dare to set foot for a long period, it housed the most dangerous criminals ( from pickpokets to armed robbers, from drug dealers to drug cartels to weapon dealers to big fishes of the black market) but what made this place dangerous it was because even the most innocent of civilians living here could be a potential red mark criminal.

Then if it's this dangerous what matters could bring the gifted squad force to such a place?

the old mand said with such a puzzled face that the boy had to look for a convincing answer to tell the old man

They've located the target, we need to move -  

a voice interrupted them, it was a young human boy, about one and a half centimeters tall, he looked around his twenties, same age as the demi elf boy, he was dark skinned unlike his partner who was lighter in color, both where not muscular but their bodies looked as if they've been training for their entire lifes, both left the old man who wave them goodbye, telling them -may rolark be with you- the revered god of good fortunes.

They walked pass two houses so close to each other that they felt as if the houses wouldl squiss them, pass an alley as slim as a walk way, the slums buildings were not well organised as the downtown where the two young boy used to live, walked pass a store and a hardware store, they walked as the eyes of the citizens of this little kingdom inside the kingdom were looking at them, some were frigthenened, some were looking at them as if they would jump on them at any second, even one was beating another young man in a dark alley as they passed, he looked at them for a second and both parties didn't seem to care and continue with their respectives task at hand, as if to say, -you beat up and we walk our way, don't pay us atention and nothing will happen-, the demi elf couldn't hide his repulsiveness for the citizens of the little kingdom, as they liked to call the slums, as if they were an independent state of badin, 

We are here, are you sure he was last seen here?- the young human said talking to his transmitter as they got close to a food store

Stay alert, -said the demi elf quickly moving to the other side of the door as if to hijack a terrorist hideout- i've reported to the captain,  remember, we need to...

Only subdjucate him, not kill him, i know- said the human as he pulled his gun, a dessert eagle- he already has full control of his power according to the report so watch your back Mr.diligent - he said in an attempt to crack a joke, both werent good at it, but he did it anyway

the elf kicked the door wide open, boom, and his partner rushed in looking for their victim, and as he entered, pointed the gun towards the counter and it was the owner, he had the face of someone who just saw a demon, the human boy inspected him and i swear he could see pee on the mid-aged man trousers, as the demi elf entered the middle man looked deep inside the store, in the direction of the freezer, and whosh, a knife came flying towards the human boy's forehead, he dodged in the last second, and another one, he jumped and called on his partner -he is at the other end, the freezer's- as the demi elf gave his first step, whoosh, another knife, the human boy jumped as if having a rope in his waist, legs on the wall, and verticall in position, with one hand he shot towards the freezers, with the other pushed the owners head forcing him to crouch then legs on top of the counter crouching to get better aim, the demi elf opened what would look like a portal and the freezer flew from that end, dragging the buscuit stand, and the toiletries, the figure on the freeze was a demonoid looking human, same age as them, and the kick from the teleported
