Destination Announcement

About a week and a half had passed since The Jeager had received the G-GOG L Saturn's. Since then, Everyone aboard the ship had made much progress in finishing up the preparations for their first voyage.

But to where? Nobody really had an answer for this question.

The most prevalent answer circulating among the crew was,

"To where ever the boss wants." Boss in this conversation being Kita himself.

Many thought that Kita didn't had a destination in his mind and he would just be wonder around the empire and outside the border regions for a while.

While many other's thought that Kita would lead them into a new frontier to explore and uncover ancient alien empires.

But all of these rumors were still unconfirmed. Nobody could really say for sure where Kita wanted to go. It was true that he would be the one to decide where they would be going on their first voyage, but Kita wasn't as clueless as other's thought. He had a clear idea on where he wanted to go.

He was currently sitting in front of a terminal. Wearing his usual white lab coat. With his complete focus on the task at hand, he typed away at the keyboard preparing the plan for the journey.

He had long made up his mind on where he wanted to go. So there was little point in choosing between different options.

All that was to was to create a complete plan for the journey there and execute it.

As he kept typing up the brief, he didn't notice York entering the Lab. He had moved in a few days ago after finishing up everything. He had supposedly shown personal injury as a reason for resigning from the military.

What personal injury exactly? None at all!

That was a completely made up story created by him to use as the reason for resigning. Although the military people must have known that he was bluffing, they didn't call him out on his bluff. They had simply just accepted his resignation and let him go.

As for his real reason, Kita only knew parts of it.

As York entered the Lab, he saw Kita typing away at a terminal. Alone in a corner. This was a familiar sight to him as He had seen Kita just like this many times in the past.

Kita didn't realize that York had entered the room and was standing behind him.

After he finished up his Plan, he sent it to his comm and got up. That's when he realized that York was standing behind him.

Suddenly seeing York like that spooked Kita a bit.

"What the hell. Why're you standing behind me like that? What do you want?" Kita asked.

"I was watching you work."

"Huh? That's creepy." Kita said as he looked away.

"What the hell do you mean creepy?" York asked in a urgent voice.

Kita didn't bother to explain.

He turned off his terminal and started walking away.

York didn't pester him any longer and asked.

"So this is the Lab?"

"Yes, you've been here before."

"True, I can see that there are a few new equipment?"

"Yes, they got delivered a few days after your visit."

"I see. So what's on the agenda right now?" York asked.

He had only been here for a couple of days, And didn't know much about what was going on around him. But he understood the gist of it.

Most of the preparations were done and Everyone was waiting for Kita to finalize their destination. And the Jeager would be on it's way.

"Well, We're having a meeting right now about our destination. You want to join?"

"Huh? Right now? will it be boring?" York asked.

"It wont." Kita smirked.

"Okay then." York said as he began to follow Kita out of the Lab. They both headed towards the front section of the ship.

Kita had already notified all the section chiefs of the meeting, And they were gathering at the meeting room beside the Bridge.

"So, Where are we going?" York asked as the pod they were in zipped though.

York carefully watched Kita's face. He had an inkling about the destination. But he didn't want to confirm it himself. He wanted to know it from Kita.

"You'll find out soon." Kita said while not giving out any facial clues.

York couldn't make out anything from his facial expressions. He just hoped that Kita wouldn't insist on going towards that fated planet.

Kita seemed to have guessed what York was thinking. So he comforted him.

"Don't worry, we're not going back there."

That was enough o clear up any confusions that York might be having.

As Kita and York entered the meeting room, they saw everyone already sitting around the large table while discussing some matters.

Kita quickly walked to the head of the table where his seat was. He didn't take a seat and instead began to look around the table.

After he confirmed that everyone was here, He quickly fiddled with his comm as he accessed the files and transmitted the file to the central projection system of the meeting room.

"Let's get this meeting on the way" he stated before putting down the tablet in his hand.

He took a deep breath as he began.

"Thank you everyone for the past few weeks. I'm sure it's been quite hectic for everyone. But I'm glad that everything has went smoothly."

The people around the table nodded slowly. It had indeed been a hectic few weeks for them. But now that everything was done, they could finally take a breather.

"Now that the ship is stocked up and refueled, you guys must be wondering about what comes next. What is our agenda. Well, as I've told you in the past, I plan on exploring the unknown and see everything that there is to see. To that end, I've decided on a destination for our first voyage."

Kita pressed a button on his comm and a projection of the Blue cube was projected onto the main projection.

"Some of you might be familiar with this blue cube. The previous team of the Jeager had unearthed this piece of ancient alien relic from an unknown star system. There are many things about this relic that interests me. So for our first destination, We'll be heading towards that nameless system." Kita announced.

Although everyone gave an understanding Nod, York couldn't believe what he was seeing. The Blue cube. It was the same as the orange cubes found on B1! What the hell was going on?
