Armen was in deep thought. She watched the lake, the swaying waters, the swans and ducks swimming... she gazed upon it all with serenity. She was thinking, she was thinking about a lot of things. But none of that appeared on her face; it was emotionless as usual.
Behind her were several knights, and two tents. While most would expect the knights to be within the tents resting while some looked out for trouble, none of them were in the shape to actually look. They'd been marching non-stop for several days and Armen was the only one who could look out.
Actually, she might not have been the only one capable, for there was another. One of the lightly dressed knights kept sleeping on the job, very nearly falling over several times but not quite.
Armen sighed once, but she didn't wince, or let any particular emotion like frustration show. "Give the command to march again."
"But my la- lord... we're far too tired."
