Chapter 13

Arthur’s POV

When I first agreed with my dad about this prophecy I did not know it will be this hard to track her down , find her , and convince her also . I can barely even chat more than three seconds with her , how am I going to change this good person into an evil one?

By all means if the prophecy was about me it would have been fulfilled long ago , since I am the black sheep of my family. But with her? It is going to be so much more challenging, plus she is a tough bean I might add not to mention her friends and mate.

Walking out of the bar was a smart move , boiling her thoughts for a while will make this more fun. As I was walking through the woods I found her old house , the one that the fairies burnt down. Now don’t get me wrong I never really liked my uncle and aunt but they didn’t deserve this. In the end they were still family and turning this prophecy into reality would have brought us closer in the end. Setting down everything I must think of ways to make this work.

Beep beep beep beep

‘’ Yeah dad?’’

‘’ Well? I am waiting on news!’’ my dad raises his voice.

‘’ We just met officially for the first time. It will take more days to get her alone with me and I will slowly break down her walls. Once she will be willing to meet you I shall bring her to France alright?’’

‘’ Yes son , don’t blow this off . We need it!’’

‘’ Yes…’’ I mumble.

I hang up the phone and decided to go for a walk into the woods , as I could closer to the lake I scooted down to touch it with my fingers , falling through a fairy portal. Getting up on the other side of the portal I notice the Queen of fairies looking at me from the distance.

‘’ Looks like you came here for trouble , Arthur , or is it revenge for you family?’’ she question walking towards me slowly.

‘’It seems like you are the one looking for revenge , or should I say looked? You have already fulfilled you whishes with my family.’’

‘’ Not really… I still have some cards up my sleeves and you my dear boy are on one of them. King’s cup sounds just right isn’t it ?’’ she smiles.

‘’ I assume you summoned me here for something , so … get on with it.’’

‘’ Listen Arthur , wouldn’t it sound better King Arthur? I has a ring to it doesn’t it ?’’

‘’ What? Does the fairy Queen need a real man in her life ? Not interested sorry.’’ I smirk.

‘’ Let’s not flatters ourselves. I was thinking more like , getting Cassandra out of the picture and you taking her crown as the rightful owner of it.’’

‘’ What are you suggesting ?’’

‘’ A small accident can occur in the next week let’s say , she follows her parents and than you just sway everyone and take the crown and rule over them.’’ She gestures.

‘’ No .’’

‘’ Oh don’t be so negative… it could be fun.’’

‘’ Out people have their own prophecy , I am willing to fight for it, so thank you , but no.’’

‘’ You honestly believe she is that breakable? She has something I have not seen in many years , so believe me when I tell you , she won’t break. Not for you or anyone. She has that royal blood in her for sure.’’

‘’ But you don’t know me, or what I can do.’’

‘’ Darling , five minutes with you and all this is a charade. Suite yourself in this journey of yours , but don’t ask for my help.’’ She says vanishing into the fog of the woods . The wing blowing me back into the lake turning back into our reality. Fucked up creatures these are.

She has a plan of nonsense , I bet she want to kill us all , make me king than fake another accident so she can in the future rule over everyone … bitch.

Cassandra’s POV

Days passed by trying to forget that I ever met my cousin. Training with everyone is brutal , but I am getting better and better at it. I must be strong for what is to come , cause there will be a war. I decided that I can make a pact with the vampires , this way we can ensure more troops. I decided to take a break today and asked Anna to get me a spot to talk with their leader , Prince Harold.

‘’ Where are you going?’’ asks Will.

‘’ I figured something out and I need to get the vampires help so I am going for a chat with Prince Harold.’’

‘’ Well , I can see you are going to make an impression.’’ He gestures to my outfit.’’ Looking this fine , you will sway him I no time . ‘’ he giggles.

‘’ Funny , I’m going with business.’’

‘’ I know but all jokes aside you can not go on your own . Their rules are different from ours and if one decided to feast on you , it will turn into a blood bath in no time.’’

‘’ I know but her asked to meet alone , no other vampires or wolves. I’ll be fine , okay?’’

‘’He has vampires everywhere , he won’t be alone. Me and the boys will be in the woods near by , if needed we will come to fight the others. I know you are strong but a dozen of vampires isn’t fun at all.’’ He smiles kissing my forehead.

As we all made our way towards the vampire’s bar , the boys took a step back and hid into the woods , further enough to not be spotted but close enough so I can link myself to them in case I needed to. Anna greets me as she asks for me to follow her into their basement. As I got down on the final steps , I see a tall guy with black hair and hazel eyes staring at me. He had this muscle fit with his shirt hugging everywhere it needed to be hugged.

‘’ You must be Cassandra Cromwell.’’ He smirks pulling the chair for me so I can have a seat.

‘’ And you must be Harold.’’

‘’ Prince Harold to be exact.’’

‘’Well in that case I am Queen Cass.’’

‘’ Let’s not get far ahead from ourselves. I am prince since birth. You , on the other hand , wasn’t chosen by your people yet. So in the mean time let’s keep it simple and as it is , since you do need my help . Not the other way around.’’ His tone changes.

‘’ Listen , I am not here for any trouble , I just want to help my people , keep this pact steady between vampires and werewolves . I believe that both of us need to keep this together.’’ I try turning the conversation over.

‘’ Oh , I do know that , you need my people to help yours because the fairies are on your cousin’s side , which makes it harder for you to win this.’’ He concluded.’’ Since I am not a mean greedy person , I will keep the pact as it was before , I won’t ask anything more other than what my ancestors asked as well . But… if in this life I shall need your back in any of my fights , you shall owe me on battle.’’

‘’ I shall grant you this wish . I need your help . ‘’ I smiled shaking his hand.

Getting up from the seat I greet prince Harold once more as I close the door behind me. Moments later I could sense a dark presence in the room staring down at me as I was trying to the back to the bar were Anna was preparing some drinks for a table next to me.

‘’Hey sweet cakes, care for a chat ?’’ a vampire called for me as I tried walking away . ‘’ Bitch! I called for you!’’ he screamed.

I closed my eyes trying to pretend I didn’t hear him but his hand grabs my arm and makes me turn around to face him. ‘’ Be very careful with you next move.’’ I warned him calmly.

‘’ Do you have any idea who you are talking to ? bitch?’’

‘’ I suggest you lower your tone because you seem not to know who YOU are talking to my guy . ‘’ I snarled at him digging my wolf nails into his skin.

‘’ Step aside Derek! That is Princess Cassandra , how dumb can you be?’’ yelled Harold at him from afar as Derek takes his hand off me.

‘’ There there , good boy Derek.’’ I smiled as he huffed at me. ‘’ Be nice or I won’t be so calm next time. Take you seat back at your table and mind your damn business.’’

‘’ Someone should teach you some manners.’’ Whispered Derek under his breath.

‘’ And someone should learn the hidden skills of a wolf cause I can ever hear your damn mind let alone your whispers.’’ I replied. His fury grew stronger and stronger even though Harold kept telling him to back off and in a blink of an eye I linked my mind to his and told him to calm down . His face turned pale as he could finally learn that I was already in his head. ‘’ I just wan to mind my own business and I believe you want the same , so I will ask kindly one more time , please take a seat and mind your own thing that you were doing before.’’ He looked into my eyes as he stepped backwards into his chair.

I waved at Anna and walked out the door, I could sense William was angry in the woods hearing the entire commotion but he stood aside letting me handle everything. I was going to be Queen after all when all this over , I need to handle my own business one way or another.

I signed the boys to meet me deep in the woods as I shapeshifted into my wolf. Once we reached the peak of the forest I looked at all the guys.

‘’ They will be on our side but when the time comes we must do the same for them. Without their help I don’t know if we will be able to win this war.’’ I signed .’’But it’s okay , I believe that by creating a bond with them we shall all stay at peace for now and be united for when time comes .’’

‘’ I guess that is quite alright , I remember Harold from when I was 7 years old , he can be quite cheeky but he has always respected his kind and ours as well.’’ Explained Will. ‘’ Ever since that war we had in the 1800’s we have kept that alliance ever since , our kind has never fought against one another since those times . I must admit we haven’t really been close but we have been respectful at least in these grounds.’’

‘’ What happened during that war?’’ I asked.

‘’ Just like now, fairies loves to stick their wings in other people’s business so they created an issue of a kind between us , to be honest it was quite brutal . The rumor was that the King’s daughter of our kind was murdered by some hungry vampires in the woods . The vampires protested that it was all a lie and a scam and a war started as a part of justice for young Emily. The war lasted for 5 years and it didn’t seem to end any time soon , until , a kind fairy with a faint heart happened to spill the beans on the plan, therefore vampires and wolves found about the fairies plan to finish us all and well , in the end, take all the land. So we banished them into another dimension , hence the portals we seem to go through nowadays and our kind made a pact with the vampires to stay in peace for now on since we all have lost a lot of men, woman and children over this war.’’

‘’ It seems to me that the fairy Queen is trying the same thing on us , just a different move , same base of a plan but just a few steps apart from the past.’’ I added.
