What puzzled Hubner was that their chief arrived early in the morning to take over handling this case without any prior advice.
'Who the hell is Abigail Snow? She must be some important lady...' Hubner wondered as he gazed toward Kian, who also had the same expression as him—confused and nervous.
After waiting a while, Kian's expression was still the same; he looked even more dire, enough for Hubner to suspect something.
"Hey, Kian—"
"Yes?" Kian responds, turning to Hubner. "What is it, man?" he asked again after waiting, but Hubner said nothing. However, he could see the displeasure in his gaze.
"Are you sure this Abigail woman is only a regular person working as a barista?" Hubner finally asked.
Kian frowned, hearing his question. "Of course. She is a new barista; she works with us. Why are you asking?" he was confused by how Hubner asked; it appeared he doubted him.
