Chapter 174 Mystery In Stone Valley Part 4

Yue covered her mouth with her hands and looked at the five Tanzanies who were looking at her. She quickly fell to her knees, breaking the gloomy gazes of the five Tanzanies, and quickly scooped up the antidote that had been mixed with the soil with her hands. 

"I'm sorry..." She kept apologizing, tears welling up in her eyes. "I'm sorry..." 

Yun's body inside the wooden box began to twitch, so Hajime reached into the wooden box and held down Yun's body. "U-ri, do something." Hajime shouted. 

U-ri turned around and shouted, "Yul, grab a leaf. You see how we saved Prince Bong, right?" 

Yul quickly grabbed a leaf from U-ri's medicine bag and started chewing it as fast as he could while walking towards U-ri and the others holding the water bag in his left hand. 

U-ri shouted, "Get her out of that box." 

Michio and Abrafo rushed forward quickly, pulled Yun out of the wooden box, and placed Yun on the ground. 

Yul bent down, pinched Yun's nose with his left hand, pinched Yun's mouth with his right hand, lowered his head to Yun's face, covered Yun's mouth with his mouth, and put the chewed leaf into Yun's mouth. 

Yun tried to swallow the medicine, but it was difficult for her to swallow it and she choked. 

U-ri said, "Give her water." 

Yul grabbed the water bag and squeezed some water into Yun's mouth. U-ri quickly covered Yun's mouth and nose. Yun's body struggled for a while, and then she finally swallowed the chewed leaf. After confirming that Yun had swallowed the medicine, U-ri finally let go of Yun's nose and mouth. 

Yun looked up at the people around her, took a few breaths, and then slowly closed her eyes. 

Yue asked, "Did we save her? Why did she close her eyes again?" 

U-ri said, "I don't know yet. I won't know if it has any effect until Lady Yun opens her eyes." 

Yue asked, "How long will it take before we know she is saved?" 

"It varies from person to person. It's a waiting game now," U-ri said. He stood up and looked at Yul. "Rinse your mouth three times." 

Yul quickly rinses his mouth three times. 

Due to high stress and lack of rest, Hajime felt overwhelmed when he saw Yun's strong reaction to the medicine. He immediately felt abdominal cramps. He turned around without looking at anyone else, but when he turned around, his eyes happened to see the half-finished roast pig, which was still on the table. This immediately made him feel sick, and what he had eaten suddenly rushed up his esophagus. Hajime quickly covered his mouth and rushed out of the tent. 

"Hajime?" Michio said. "What's wrong?" 

Yul turned around quickly to make sure Hajime didn't misunderstand what had just happened, but when he turned around, he saw that Hajime had already run out of the tent. He quickly chased Hajime. 

Yue walked out of the tent and found Bi still standing by the door. "Have someone bring the bed over." 

Bi asked, "What's wrong?" 

Yue said, "It seems that Yun may still have a chance to wake up." 

Bi was surprised. "Huh? Really..." She stood stunned. "I'll get a bed ready." 

Hajime kept his distance from the others, and after confirming that no one was around, he spat out the vomit in his mouth. He vomited violently until he was sure he had thrown up everything he had eaten today. 

Yul desperately searched for Hajime in the crowd, only to find Hajime standing next to a boulder, vomiting severely. He was afraid that something might happen to Hajime, so he rushed to Hajime's side. 

"Hajime..." Yul said worriedly, handing Hajime the water bag. 

Hajime took the water bag and started to rinse his mouth. "Thank you." Hajime said weakly, handing the water bag back to Yul. 

Yul took out a handkerchief, poured some water, and began to wipe Hajime's forehead. "Cooling your forehead can help relieve your symptoms," Yul said worriedly when he saw that the wound on Hajime's forehead had not healed yet. "Your forehead..." 

Hajime said, "I don't know why the wound didn't heal as fast as when we first left Tangzang." He took the wet handkerchief from Yul's hand and continued to wipe his face. "I started to believe that my powers weren't as effective as they once were." 

Yul looked at Hajime's pale face and said, "There is nothing between Second Lady Lai and I, so you don't have to think too much." 

Hajime smiled and said, "I didn't think too much, it was you who thought too much." 

Yul said, "Then why did you run away suddenly?" 

Hajime said, "I just want to find a place to vomit." 

Yul said, "Let U-ri look at you." 

Hajime said, "I think I suffered a heat stroke because I didn't drink enough water this morning. Combined with the lack of sleep, I felt an upset stomach, but after a good night's sleep, I should be fine." 

"Hey lovebirds," Abrafo called from a few yards away from Hajime and Yul. "Take us to the bathhouse." 

A hundred feet away from the Lai family camp sat a rectangular stone house without a roof. The stone wall is taller than the average person. The house is divided into four rooms. When Hajime and the others arrived at the bathhouse, two maids came out of the bathhouse. 

The two maids bowed to the four Tanzanies and one of the maids said, "Dear sirs, a change of clothes has been prepared for you in the bathhouse." 

Hajime thanked the two maids. He turned to Yul and said, "I will wait for you here." 

Hajime watched the three Tanzanies walking towards the bathhouse, and suddenly a voice startled him. 

"Ah... the Lai family is so kind to you." Kexin's voice sounded behind Hajime. Kexin took three steps forward and stood next to Hajime. "When my brother told me that you were not dead, I just came over to see if there were any injuries, and it turned out that none of the five of you were injured." 

"Lady Kexin, are you here to see Abrafo?" Hajime asked. 

"Mmm..." Kexin nodded her head. 

Hajime smiled and said, "Still taking a bath." Hajime saw Kexin holding some kind of berry on the elephant leaf. "What are you eating?" 

Kexin moved the berries in her hand to Hajime and said, "I don't know, but if you like sour taste, it tastes pretty good. It's good for nausea, cough, fever, and diarrhea." 

Hajime asked, "What's the name of this berry?" 

Kexin shook her head and said, "No one knows, everyone calls it blister berry, because the berry is red with white dots on it, just like the blisters that appear when the skin is burned." 

Hajime chuckled when he heard the name of the berry. "Blister berry..." Hajime said, still giggling. "I never thought that anyone would come up with this name." Hajime sighed and thought for a while. He doesn't like sour food or anything sour, but since blister berries are good for nausea, he might as well give it a try and maybe it will help with his nausea symptoms. "Can I have one?" 

Kexin stretched out her hand to Hajime and said, "Go for it, if you like, the bush is over there." She pointed to a bush on the left that was no more than knee high. "It tastes best with a little salt." 

Hajime grabbed one blister berry, dipped it in salt, and then threw the blister berry into his mouth. As his teeth crunched the berry, the soft berry quickly burst open, causing the acidic juices within the berry to spread throughout his mouth. Although, the berry is indeed very sour and a bit astringent. It had a slight tomato flavor; Hajime wasn't too surprised since the berry itself looked like a small tomato with white spots. Hajime noticed that the sour taste of the fruit did alleviate some of his nausea, so he reached over and grabbed a second blister berry. 

Kexin grabbed one blister berry and ate it. As she chewed the berry, she made an ugly lemon face. "You didn't even make a face," she said through gritted teeth. "Here take it. You seem to like this more than me." 

Hajime took away the elephant leaf with the rest of the blister berries. "Thank you, I'll accept it then," Hajime said with a smile. "I've been feeling sick since this afternoon, hopefully these berries will help me." 

Kexin smiled and said, "Perfect, I don't want to throw it away." She looked at Hajime. "Hajime... want to ask you something." 

Hajime slowly chewed the blister berry in his mouth. "If I could answer you, I would answer you," he said, grabbing another blister berry and popping it into his mouth. 

Kexin said, "Yul... what type of woman does Yul like?" 

Hajime cleared his throat. "Ah...I don't know...this topic has never come up when we're talking..." Hajime paused. "Huh? Yul? Not Abrafo?" Hajime was surprised. He forced a smile. "Everyone thinks you're interested in Abrafo." 

"No!" Kexin let out a cry. "Why does everyone think that?" 

Hajime said, "Well, because it seems like you and Abrafo get along well." 

Kexin explained, "I not only want to get along with Abrafo but also want to get along with other people. It's just that Abrafo doesn't like me very much, so... I just want to impress him and let him reveal Yul's secret." 

Hajime chuckled. Although he felt a little sad, he was also very happy that someone liked Yul. "Well, they did grow up together, but if you want to know, I can ask Yul and in exchange you can tell me where you can get these blister berries," Hajime said with a smile. 

Kexin smiled at Hajime and said, "Deal." 

"Hey! Look who's here!" Abrafo's loud voice sounded. 

Kexin lowered her voices, "Hajime... " 

Hajime smiled and said, "I won't tell him." 

Abrafo approached Kexin and teased, "Are you here to treat us to dinner?" 

Kexin sneered and said, "In your dream." 

Abrafo chuckled and said, "Oh...nice to hear your annoying voice." He looked at the other Tanzanies. "Why do people who like me are annoying troublemakers... Why can't someone as good as Shi like me..." He shook his head, pretending to be sad. 

Kexin said, "You can continue to dream." She approached Abrafo. "Perhaps, if you dream hard enough, Shi might appear in one of your dreams." She smiled and walked away. 

"Hajime," Michio said, quickly walking over to Hajime. "What are you eating?" 

Hajime said, "Blister berries." 

Michio asked, "How does it taste?" 

Hajime put one in his mouth and smiled at Michio. "Hmm...it tastes a bit sweet." He picked up a blister berry and put it in Yul's mouth. 

Yul chewed slowly with a blank look on his face and said, "It's indeed very sweet." 

Michio and Abrafo each quickly grabbed a blister berry and threw it into their mouths. As soon as they bit into the blister berry, the sour juice sprayed into their mouths, and they began to spit the blister berry onto the ground. 

Michio held out his tongue. "Uh... so sour..." 

Abrafo frowned. "How dare you deceive us? I will make you pay the price." He looked at Yul. "That includes you. Helping him lie to us." He spat some more on the ground.

Hajime watched the three of them spit out the berries they had eaten, and looked at the ugly expressions of his friends, and suddenly felt a feeling of happiness in his heart. Although he had a smile on his face, deep down, he had not forgotten that happiness would come and go like the sunrise and sunset.
