As I regained consciousness, the world around me was a blur. My family's concerned faces loomed over me, and I could sense the distress in their voices. The awakening ceremony had taken an unexpected turn, and I was left bewildered by the events that had unfolded.
"What happened?" I managed to whisper, my head still throbbing from the excruciating pain I had experienced moments before. My father, Evan, gently held my hand, trying to comfort me, but even he seemed perplexed by what had occurred.
"We're not sure, Duke," he said, his worry evident in his eyes. "Something unusual happened during your awakening. The orb showed you as a Grade F with Peak Human Condition, but then..."
He trailed off, and I noticed the other onlookers conversing in hushed tones. The crowd was murmuring about the unexpected turn of events, with whispers spreading like wildfire. My awakening had become the cecentref attention, and the pressure weighed heavily on me.
Mrs Daniels, the overseer of the ceremony, approached us, her usually composed expression tinged with concern. "I've never seen anything like this before," she admitted, her voice tinged with surprise. "Your power seems to have manifested uniquely. The Codex is unable to decipher it at the moment."
My mind was a whirlwind of confusion and uncertainty. The Dark Knight Codex was a mysterious entity, known to grant superpowers and rank individuals accordingly. Yet, it seemed unable to fathom the nature of my abilities.
As my family decided to take me to the hospital, the pain in my head intensified, making me clutch my temples in agony. Strangely, something else began to unfold within my consciousness. An ethereal presence seemed to awaken within me, guiding my thoughts and unlocking hidden knowledge.
I found myself in a surreal realm, surrounded by floating symbols and enigmatic runes. This was the Dark Knight Codex, a realm that connected all Supers across time and space. The Codex had chosen me for a special purpose, bestowing upon me a power beyond ordinary comprehension.
Within this enigmatic realm, I received glimpses of the true nature of my abilities. I wasn't just a Peak Human; instead, I possessed an extraordinary gift that drew from the collective strength of humanity. I could access the limitless potential of the human spirit, transcending physical limitations and unleashing an unparalleled force.
As this newfound realization settled within me, I also understood the gravity of my role. I was destined to become a symbol of hope for humanity, a beacon of light amidst the super-powered chaos. My abilities were tied to the collective will of mankind, and I could inspire others to reach their full potential.
The Codex's whispers echoed in my mind, guiding me towards a higher purpose. It wasn't just about powers and grades; it was about being a champion for humanity, an embodiment of their resilience and strength.
As I emerged from the Codex's realm, my family's worried faces greeted me at the hospital. I mustered a reassuring smile, knowing that my journey had just begun.
With newfound clarity, I embraced my unique power, now bestowed upon me by the Codex itself. I would stand as the symbol of hope, using my abilities to uplift others and protect humanity in this world of Supers.
The journey ahead was uncertain, but I had never felt more determined. I was no longer just Duke Walton; I was the embodiment of the human spirit—the Dark Knight.
Hi guys it's me again. So the idea for this book is to have the MC actually train and go through the whole process of becoming batman rather than some OP convenient hacks which personally takes out the excitement in batman's character and also the MC would have a different trajectory than Bruce Wayne so watch out for that.
If you've come his far you know I'm a rookie so, have any ideas about my story or any recommendation to the plot and characters? Comment it and let me know.
