Troubles Of The Beast World

Honestly it didn't know why Hao Shen was looking at him like that, not wanting to provoke Hao Shen any further, it started with it's long speech like the good system it was.

"My time here is rather short, because I forcibly upped the systems download in other to curse, cough, cough, in other to pass down important information {yes I am simply just passing down important information, I didn't just come to curse at you or anything like that, yes, yes I'm such a good system.} I wouldn't be able to stay longer and I don't know when exactly I would be able to appear in front of you again, so please pay attention to what I have to say".

After saying that, it paused and looked at Hao Shen hoping to hear a word or two from him but to his disappointment, Hao Shen was still as quiet as before. He was just like a soulless puppet, who's mission was to kill the system.

Feeling shivers down it's spine it started speaking faster, it was truly scared and wanted to run away.

"As you already know, the beast world is currently facing the threat of extinction, but what we didn't tell you was, why. This problem lay's in the female's of the beast world. All species wether it be animal, humans or beast men, all need their female counterpart for growth and stability of the species in question. Without them, there will be no growth as they are needed for reproduction. Unless a miracle happened and all of a sudden  males becomes able to give birth but this is not possible at least not in this world.

That is why this world's consciousness called us for help. The female population in the beast world has always been an issue but now the problem seem to have gotten worst and if we allow this to continue and the females all die out, there is no need for me to continue, as what follows is already quite obvious.

Your mission in this world is to save the female population by all means possible. Now I'm going to inform you the reason why the females population is now in a decline. Aside from getting eating by wild beasts, dieing due to accidents, sickness or other external factors, our main focus are the things that causes the most deaths in the female population which are.

The complications these females face during child birth. And those complications are excessive bleeding, infection during or after child birth, unsafe termination, before you ask the answer is yes, the people of this world has a special way of terminating pregnancy but it's a very dangerous process and sometimes even after it's done the fetus will still manage to remain in the females uterus, which could cause harm to the female.

Their are also other complications that I would be explaining briefly such as prolonged labor, this happens when the baby is too big or when the female's pelvis is too small. Fatal distressed, this is when the baby itself is having problems. Shoulder dystocia, this happens when the baby shoulder is stuck at the uterus, this is a complicated problem that could lead to the deaths of both mother and child.

Their are so many other birth complications that I would not mention, because we don't have much time, so I'm going to be explaining other things.

All these problems occur only when the female is birthing another female. Females are like humans, they take 9-10 months before being born and they grow just like human babies.

While males could take just 1-3 month before being born, they grow very fast and don't need excessive care, as long as they are fed properly then they would live.

Sometimes female baby's don't even survive their childhood, but their is nothing you can do about it as this responsibility belong to their parents but you could always give their parents advice, that is if you had any.

Anyway the reason why giving birth is a problem in this world is because of the lack of knowledgeable doctors. My original host was a female doctor in the world that you were from, but I accidentally brought you to this world instead, and just so you know, their is no way I can send you back without the Mission being finished.

Also I should warn you, if you died without finishing the mission, you would be replaced and punished.

Your punishment would be to travel to 10 more worlds and their is a high chance the you wouldn't be able to go back to your old world.

So your second mission is to try to survive.

That's everything I have to tell you about this world and It's problems.

As for the information about the system, I will answer your first question which was how to complete the systems download.

Well in other to finish the system download you have to consume a large amount of food which means, as long as you keep eating, the energy derived from the food is directly transferred to the system. but that also mean that you will constantly feel hungry. This will only stop when the systems download is completed."

After everything the system had said It finally took a breath and looked at Hao Shen expecting Hao Shen to ask questions but no, Hao Shen was still glaring at it, so it decided to fain urgency.

"Mind you eating the same food over and over again won't generate as much energy as when you first ate it, instead it might not give you any energy at all, for example if you eat an apple and gained 10.00 energy, the second time you eat it, it would only give you 5.00 energy and the third time it might give you 0 energy.

But keep this in your mind, even if you kept eating till your  belly is bulging, as long as the systems download is not completed you will still feel hungry, so don't bother trying to do that.

You have also triggered a side quest all you have to do to check it is say system progress in your mind and a screen will pop up in front of you. You won't be getting prompts like before, no prompts no reminders. You have to call for the system progress everyday to see if you have any side quests and if their are any informations you need to know about.

We had informed you to keep your backpack safe in order to send you your rewards right, well you wouldn't be receiving any rewards even if you finished a side quest, this is because the energy used in transferring items is too huge, and the system would like to save that energy. so for the Time being, you wouldn't receive any rewards.

With that said, see you when the systems download is finished". With those last words it disappeared.

Hao Shen was still angry at it but he was not as angry as the system thought, it was just that due to the energy it was losing, it had lost the ability to pry into Hao Shen's thoughts so it misunderstood Hao Shen completely.

Hao Shen on the other hand was thinking of how he would cut the system into bits and cook it that was how angry he was. 

Although he was angry, he somehow was able to register everything the system said, you could say his mind was on auto drive.

Usually whenever he got this angry at home he would go on a frenzy and start cooking, he did this while imagining that it was the person who angered him that he was cooking. He would cook whatever untill his anger simmers down leaving both him and his mom too much food to eat and when he realized this he would just start laughing like he wasn't the one who was angry just now.

When his subconsciousness brought back this memory, Hao Shen couldn't help but tear up, he felt like he was lonely, he was in a new world with no friends or family.

But he had to be strong on his own. He strengthen his resolve and was about to wipe his tears, but  before he could, he felt his face being pressed into a muscular chest, and he felt a large hand rubbing his head and back, then he heard the deep voice of Kevin try to comfort him.

" I'm sorry, I'm sorry, just tell me what I did wrong I promise I won't do it again, just don't cry".

Kevin had gone around the forest looking for fruits, and only found 3 kinds of fruits that he wanted to give to Hao Shen and so he used a large leaf and put the fruits in, then he covered it with another leave and found a vine to tie it up.

But when he got back, expecting to see a smile in Hao Shen's face welcoming him home, he saw Hao Shen looking at him angrily, he didn't dear move and just stood their fruits in hand, waiting to be reprimanded but the next second he saw Hao Shen was crying.
