The Overly Dependent Hao Shen

But when he got back, expecting to see a smile on Hao Shen's face welcoming him home, he saw Hao Shen looking at him angrily, he didn't dear move and just stood there, fruits in hand, then the next second he saw Hao Shen was crying.

Kevin was panicking. what could have happened when he left, was it because of something he did. Afraid it was his fault he quickly put the fruits down then rushed to hug Hao Shen.

He didn't know what he did wrong for Hao Shen to be this angry and sad at the same time nevertheless he still promised he wouldn't do it again.

But after he gave his promise to Hao Shen, Hao Shen started crying even more, it was as if the promise he made was a trigger that made Hao Shen cry more.

He didn't know what to do or say, he felt that if he said another word, it would make things worst, so he just stayed in that position, hugging Hao Shen while robbing his back and gently patting his head hoping that he stops crying.

After listening to Kevin's promise and feeling the warmth from Kevin's hug, Hao Shen felt a great sense of security and strangely he felt relieved.

This was the first time he was hugged this intimately, his mother, doe she love him, never made him feel this way He didn't even know what this feeling was But he liked it..

He felt like someone had removed a  heavy load off him, It made him feel that he didn't need to be strong alone, there was someone willing to help him and that thought made him cry even more.

Hao Shen hugged Kevin tightly, He really didn't want to let go, he felt that even if he was in a new world, at least he wasn't alone. He had Kevin and even if he hadn't known Kevin for that long he was willing to be friends with him.

They both stayed in that position for quite a while, it was only when Hao Shen was calm, that he moved and was about to let go of Kevin. But before he did, his stomach decided that, this was a good opportunity to protest. ' growl'.

Both Hao Shen and Kevin heard the loud growl, Kevin smiled while Hao Shen felt embarrassed, he awkwardly let go of Kevin and wiped his eyes.

Still feeling very worried for Hao Shen, Kevin looked at Hao Shen from head to toe, after being certain that there was nothing wrong with Hao Shen's body, he held both of Hao Shen's shoulder, while keeping eye contact, afraid to miss anything, before asking Hao Shen "tell me what happened, did I do something wrong, do you need anything, just tell me".

Warmth spread through Hao Shen's heart, he doesn't know how every word Kevin said was able to bring him to the brink of tears, he held it in and replied with a choking voice "I-I'm fine".

Kevin saw Hao Shen's eye's polling with unshed tears again and felt that Hao Shen was hiding something from him. "then why were you crying? Why do you still want to cry, if-If it's because you don't like me, then... Then don't worry when you find someone you like I won't hold you back I would let you stay with them ok so just don't cry anymore".

Kevin himself wanted to cry while saying those words, his heart was really breaking, if Hao Shen really hated him that much to the extent of crying, then there was nothing he could do to change that, he could only let Hao Shen go.

Hao Shen on the other hand was in an epiphany of his own creation. While he was planning on befriending Kevin, he had completely forgotten that to Kevin he was a female ' what's this feeling! while I'm planning on being friends with you, you are planning on making me your wife! This is completely unacceptable'.

Hao Shen really didn't know how to respond to Kevin, he first thought of clearing things up with Kevin, so that he wouldn't always feel guilty, but when he looked at Kevin's pitiful appearance, he simply couldn't find it in his heart to say the truth.

And so in other to calm Kevin down he said what ever he could think of at the moment, as the more he delayed his response, the more Kevin's expression was getting worst. It was time for him to also comfort Kevin.

Hao Shen closed his eyes, took a deep breath and started speaking without thinking too much about what he was about to say and so he stuttered for the most part of it "It's just that.. that, I was.. I was a little scared when you left~ and you.. you didn't tell me where you were going~ so I just.. I just".

Before he could finish spouting his nonsense Kevin hugged him again, "it's ok I understand, I promise that when ever I'm leaving I would bring you along, and if I can't then I would tell you where I'm going ok, you don't have to be so worried".

Hao Shen was glad that he stopped him from continuing his sentence, he felt that if he continued speaking he would spout more nonsense. Now that he wasn't speaking, he thought about what he just said and.. he felt like slapping himself to death, ' shit, what did i just say', he felt like taking it all back ' since when was I this stupid, didn't I just made things worst! Instead of clearing things up slowly and hoping Kevin understand that I'm also a man, I literally acted like a woman that is highly dependent on her husband! How the hell am i suppose to clear things up now?'.

While Hao Shen was mentally punching and kicking himself, Kevin was feeling incredibly happy 'so the reason she was crying was because she didn't want me to leave her alone, has she already fallen for me' thinking this, he started smiling uncontrollably, he wanted to give Hao Shen another hug but he had to let go of him because Hao Shen was getting uncomfortable.

With a shit eating grin on his face, Kevin happily brought the fruits he found earlier to Hao shen.

Kevin placed the well rapped fruits in front of Hao Shen, then transformed his nails into long claws and used it to cut the vine that was used to tie it, he then carefully un-rapped the large leaves, showing Hao Shen his bounty.

Hao Shen was Surprise, it turned out that Kevin noticed that he could not eat what he previously brought back, and because of his thoughtfulness, he went to find another edible food for him.

Hao Shen wouldn't lie. he found Kevin's dedication rather admirable, if he truly was a woman and wasn't in-love with someone else then he wouldn't mind being his wife.

He firstly gave his thanks before he picked up one of the fruits, to his surprise these fruits were bigger than the average fruits on earth but aside from their size, they looked quite similar to the once on earth.

There were papayas, peaches and a fruit he had never seen before.

Hao Shen wanted to taste the fruits he recognized to see if it would taste the same as the once on earth. But due to the basic teachings in earth, he had to wash and cut the fruits before eating them but the thing was that the only water he had access to was the bottled water in his backpack.

Although he would find it wasteful if he used such good water to wash the fruits, he had no choice. At first he thought he should ask Kevin to get him water to wash it but after Kevin had taken care of him for this long without asking for anything in return, he couldn't find it in himself to still demand for water.

And so Hao Shen could only look at the fruits but refused to eat any of them. Kevin thought that Hao Shen was scared that the fruits were poisonous, as their were a lot of poisonous fruits around.

So he decided to grab each of the fruits that where in front of Hao Shen and tossed them in his mouth without.

Hao Shen was shocked by his actions, first of all he was a little irritated because he could clearly see that some parts of the fruits were layered with mud, but Kevin still tossed it in his mouth, although it was non of his business if Kevin wanted to eat the fruits without washing, he still felt irritated by it.

After Kevin was done chewing he burped. "it's safe you can eat it, it's not poisonous".

Hao Shen's eye's went wide with shock ' if it was really poisonous, and you eat it, wouldn't you have gotten poisoned, and all this for someone you barely even knew'. Somehow this thought made him feel upset.
