She seems to understand what I'm saying. She even nodded, and her face looked so certain.
I taught her how teamwork is most needed. The game is about teamwork, not individuals who want to keep killing. The game will not be able to win unless the enemy team's base is destroyed. To destroy the base requires teamwork that is compact, solid, knows what you want... and reads the situation of the game.
For the Mage's role, a decisive distance is needed. Several Mage Role Heroes have Burst Damage, Crowd Control, Poke... and Reap, according to their attack type. Each of them has its advantages and disadvantages. Take for example the Hero that Sylvia used before, Eboy.
Eboy is a Mage Hero that has Burst Damage and Crowd Control attack types. Eboy will always bind and trap his enemies if his skills are used properly. Eboy can kill the Assassin, Marksman, Fighter, and Mage Roles only with combos on these skills. Eboy is a Mage Role that can be used in all games, whether it's early-game, mid-game, or late-game. Therefore, Eboy is often used as the Hyper/Jungler.
With skills that have pretty good damage, Eboy Hero can match other Heroes. Even so, Eboy also has weaknesses. Eboy Hero is very vulnerable to being picked up or ambushed from various directions, this is because Eboy's running speed is so slow—perhaps because he is a lizardman. To counter that, every user who wields Eboy Hero needs Rapid Boots, which have +100 Movement SPD; which cost much more than other shoe items.
Therefore, to be able to buy these shoe items, the Eboy Hero needs time to be able to collect gold, which is by farming; killing buff monsters. After that, he is ready to kill or join the war.
In addition, Eboy Hero also has weaknesses that all Mobile Heroes game players know. Eboy has 4 skills. Until now, only Eboy and some Heroes (who are not suitable to be used as the Hyper) have 4 skills. Eboy needs time to level up first, namely by farming as quickly as possible. When Eboy is only Level 1, Eboy can only unlock one skill. To unlock all of his skills, including the ultimate skill, [Swamp Suction], Eboy needs to level up to Level 5. When that happens, he can maximize his skill combos. Of course, that way, he would be able to kill at least one hero with these skill combos.
This hero, Eboy, takes time until he reaches Level 5 when he has obtained the Rapid Boots item. So, for that, the weakness is at the start of the match, in the first 5 minutes. If he loses level or gold, it will be difficult to catch up with his enemies.
This applies to the Eboy Hero who is used as the Hyper. In this case, Sylvia used the Eboy Hero as the Offlaner instead of the Hyper. The Offlaner is when you stay on one line. The existence of the Offlaner helps your team in guarding the Pillars of your team or destroying the Pillars of your enemy team in the one line. The Offlaner's job was simple, guarding and destroying the Pillars.
The Offlaner only focused on the Pillars. Even so, the Offlaner can still join the war—of course, that's if war happens near you. The Offlaner gets gold from killing the Minions and the Offlaner of the enemy team. When you become the Offlaner, you will always be involved 1 vs 1 with your enemy who is also the Offlaner. It often happens, the battle between the Offlaner and the Offlaner occurs on one line. It was called the "Mechanical Duel", determining who was the best at mastering the Line.
You can become the Offlaner using the Heroes of the Mage, Fighter, or Marksman Roles—but in most cases, the Offlaner is the Fighter Role, which is much more capable of defending and attacking.
The Heroes of the Fighter Role are very useful to be the Offlaner than the other Roles. Therefore, Sylvia would not be able to keep up with her enemies if she used the Mage Role to become the Offlaner. Because of that, she realized and decided to kill the Assassin, even though in the end she was always picked up and killed by her enemies.
Sylvia had to know that the role she was using was not suitable for being constantly in the one Line. She must help her team in fighting or seizing the Turtle monster, Lord, and other monsters. She must know that Eboy is used for war, not for her selfishness in revenge. She had to know that her team needed her to fight against the enemy team.
"So basically, I just need to kill—I mean, I just need to help my team, right?" She said, and her face showed that she understood what I had explained.
"Yeah. You have an assignment. If you use the Mage Role, then your job is to beat up your enemies, fight to help inflict damage on your enemy team… prevent the Marksman Role and Assassin Role from being killed during the war."
"Oh, I see."
The Mage Role has pretty good damage so it will be very helpful when the war is going on, so that's why it takes the ability to think that takes the initiative in building team cohesiveness. That way, you can create chemistry in your team even if your team is not the players you know.
If only Sylvia would take the initiative to join the war, instead of targeting just one hero, then her team might be helped greatly in winning the match much faster. Of course, this also applies to the hero that Andre uses, who will be much faster in collecting gold to buy the items needed.
"You understand?"
"Well, I understand."
"Good. Then now… try to apply what I have said."
"Fine."
She sat sweetly on the gaming chair.
Since I just needed to see if she understood or not, I chose to stay away from her and return to this television screen.
After Andre connected his smartphone to this television, the television screen displayed the game, while the Hero selection was taking place.
As usual, Andre and Sylvia used the same hero, just like the previous match, Andre used Hanabi Hero; while Sylvia used Eboy Hero.
On their team, the other three players choose 2 Fighter Roles and Tank Roles. Possibly, one of the Fighter Roles will be the Hyper/Jungler on their team.
And sure enough, one of the Fighter Roles uses the Retribution Spell, a Spell that is useful for farming.
After the election took place, the match began.
(Welcome to Mobile Heroes.)
Their team uses a 1-1-2-1 formation. At the centerline, Andre is accompanied by players who use the Tank Role. On the left and right lines, Sylvia and a player who used the Fighter Role were there—Sylvia on the right line, while a player was on the left line. And for the Hyper/Jungler, focus on continuing to farm; strengthens the Hero it uses.
"Spirit! We have to win the game this time."
I accidentally said that. I forgot that I was not currently on stage but at the Andre family's residence. I still remember being on that stage, the tournament stage which for me was so beautiful.
"Of course!" Andre and Sylvia answered that in unison, and I couldn't help but smile a little.

(Victory.)
They won the game easily. Sylvia can carry out her duties properly and well, according to what I explained to her. Meanwhile, Andre can deal damage to his enemy Heroes.
Andre was the MVP, because he got 8 kills, 5 deaths, and 14 assists, and was able to maintain the momentum for his team. Even so, he still had a lot to learn how not to open up too much, to prevent his enemies from killing him.
Meanwhile, Sylvia was able to get 6 kills, 7 deaths, and 15 assists. She also still had to learn how not to open up too much, to prevent her enemies from killing her.
They have to learn, but even so, this result satisfies me a bit. Sylvia turned out to understand, and Andre was able to become the DPS his team hoped for. That was enough to satisfy me on this match in Classic Mode.
"Good."
With their match over this time, my working hours are over. I can go home now.
However, when I was about to go home, Andre stopped me.
"Wait, Mr. Daylon!"
"What's wrong?"
"Tomorrow is Sunday. You're still going to teach me tomorrow, aren't you?"
"Yeah, really why did you ask that?"
"How about you just stay?"
"...Stay overnight? What for?"
"Um… You are very different in teaching me, completely different from my previous teachers. You seem like you know what it takes for both me and Via. You're like a professional player, even though you're only teaching. Because of that... I still want to ask you to teach me again. So, will you stay here? Of course, you can sleep on that bed. I will sleep on this floor."
It was a request I didn't expect.
I understand that Andre wants to be much better at playing the game than he was before. He has a strong desire to be better. I understand that. But, I don't understand why he asked me to stay here.
I'm a foreigner, someone he just met, but he easily allowed me to stay in this house. Even though he's still a teenager, that doesn't mean he doesn't have a wary attitude towards people he just met. He had to know that the strangers he thought were good sometimes had hidden attitudes.
"I-"
"Please…" For some reason, his eyes shone when he looked at me.
"I..."
I inadvertently turned to Sylvia who was there. Sylvia was pointing her knife at me, then hiding the knife when Andre turned his head towards her. It scares me a little when I refuse Andre's request. She was threatening me though indirectly.
"How would you like to stay, Mr. Daylon?"
As Andre continued to stare at me with his shining eyes, a female voice suddenly sounded in my ears.
"I am home."
The voice was outside, to be precise right below from this room.
"Oh, that's Livia… Livia has come home from college," Andre said happily. After that, he looked back at me. "How is it, Mr. Daylon?"
I once again turned to Sylvia who was there. As the result, she is still the same, threatened me by showing her the knife.
"…O-Okay."
I couldn't help but agree to that. I realized that Sylvia would act if I refused Andre's request. I predict that. She is an annoying maid.
"Hurray."
Andre was so happy with my answer. He even jumped a few times before finally grabbing my arm.
"Shall we play again, Via? We'll be playing under Mr. Daylon's supervision. How about it, Via?"
"Sure, Master Andre."
"Hurray."
For a teenager like his, perhaps the presence of a grown man would make him much more developed than having to be with the crazy maid here. So, my existence here is not in vain, it makes him happy.
Is this what you call overtime? If it's like this, I'm like an office slave. Geez.
