Pain

At the former base of the group known as the collectors, movement within it was already raging, like well-trained ants, hundreds of Na'Vi could be seen moving from place to place, in and out of the large complex, or carrying heavy crates to specific points.

Some walked in groups, carrying heavy books and wearing white sleeveless sweaters, which were lab coats, but due to the size difference between a human and a Na'Vi, the coats had to be cut off the sleeves and the bottom of the coat, to make them more comfortable and easier to wear.

Aside from that, other Na'Vi now carried large rifles as temporary replacements for the bows they used to use, not that they no longer used their traditional weapons, but now, as they had been training in the use of firearms for over four months, it led to them becoming more familiar with the use of firearms, This resulted in each Na'Vi authorized by Aleyx and the Na'Vi masters carrying a rifle, along with various human equipment, such as small explosives, penicillin injections and anesthetic sprays.

Those four months had not been easy for anyone, not for Aleyx, Grace, or any other Na'Vi, but with a concerted effort, and the dream of being able to wipe out the sky people, it created an essential motivation in everyone.

The warriors achieved a huge and significant advance in operating human weapons, although up until now, they had not yet mastered the use of the base's ships, something that would change today, starting with Aleyx.

How would it begin? Well, with Aleyx in front of an AS-2 Samsom.

After lengthy consideration between Aleyx and his commanders, Aleyx concluded that no Na'Vi would volunteer as tribute around being the first to pilot a human ship, so Aleyx decided to be the one to set the example.

"I hope with all my heart that you don't try something strange, because I can save myself and you can't, and if that happens, that is; save yourself, you'll wish you hadn't," Aleyx said with a strange cold tone in his voice, as he turned to Maicol, a pilot of the collectors, who was thin and wore a necklace around his neck.

The collar, designed to suppress disobedient Na'Vi, was used to release energy charges to control and train any Na'Vi with the strength to disobey orders, and the irony being great, it was now humans who wore the collars, the man in front of Aleyx being one of the few who had not felt its effect thanks to his good behavior, which was why Aleyx had chosen him as his flight instructor.

Along with Aleyx and the pilot, would be two other Na'Vi, both Alphas, being the watchers that nothing happened to Aleyx, even if it meant sacrificing themselves for it, plus, along with the ship, would fly six others in Ikran to watch over the Na'Vi inside the Samson.

"Alright, let's do it," Aleyx ordered, climbing into the ship behind Maicol, followed by the former's guards.

Once in the ship, Maicol sat in the pilot's seat, inspecting the controls and pressing buttons, while explaining each use and function to Aleyx.

"After ensuring that the flight control is correct, we proceed to climb, with the help of the control paddles and the center of balance," said Maicol, as he did what he was explaining, making the ship take flight.

After several hours of flight, with Maicol demonstrating how to turn, descend, and lift the ship, Aleyx decided that enough was enough, making Maicol return to the base, as the day was beginning and Aleyx had some things to attend to.

"Olo'eyktan, looking good" commented Ferlu, a Na'Vi warrior waiting at the base for Aleyx.

"You look surprised Ferlu, do you have so little faith in me?" commented Aleyx lightly, watching Ferlu's face contort.

"Ohh no, Olo'eyktan, I have a lot of faith in you, what I don't trust is those sky people and their lifeless mounts."

Laughing, Aleyx rested his hand on Ferlu's shoulder, as they made their way inside the base, "Well, I can't ask you otherwise, but I do ask that you trust our brothers once they start handling these lifeless mounts."

Nodding, Ferlu gave Aleyx a small toothless smile, only to have his eyes widen in surprise; "Ohh! Olo'eyktan, Grace told me that progress had been made with the Su'tre flower, and she's waiting in the lab to show it to you."

Nodding, Aleyx made his way to the lab, thinking about what Grace might show him, and he was excited about the idea.

It was not until two months ago that Aleyx entrusted three specimens of Su'tre flower to Grace, as he knew her extensive knowledge in botany, and natural sciences and was certainly the right one for the subject, especially as Aleyx could not do it at the moment, who knew that being a leader was not as easy as it seemed.

Turning into a corridor, Aleyx stopped suddenly, as his serene face was changed to a confused look, then to one of pain.

"Uhm" Aleyx complained, leaning against the corridor wall to keep from falling.

"Olo'eyktan," said the four Alphas following Aleyx in chorus, their faces worried and helping Aleyx to stand.

"It... It hurts... AHHHHH!" finished Aleyx, unable to keep his composure.

"It hurts you, NO, leave them... AHHH!" Aleyx continued to complain, worrying his companions.

"Call Grace and the healers present, NOW!" ordered one of the Na'Vi, calling for help from capable hands.

"Stop... please!" continued Aleyx, his face full of tears and his eyes white, as if he was in a trance.

"AHHHHHH!" cried Aleyx for the last time, falling unconscious at the cost of the deep pain he felt and showed on his face.
