A Call from Father

There I was in Killerpatty Park, a stupid park to memorialize that hero, he never deserved any recognition for his job protecting people, its all just rinse and repeat, villain terrorizes people, hero steps in and defeats the hero and the loop continues and I'm the person who's gonna break that loop.

People shouldn't rely on heroes at all, they're all just false idols that people would risk their lives to be saved by them.

I've killed plenty of heroes in the past and I rarely give mercy to those heroes, they all deserve to die and burn in the deepest pit of hell. I have to calm down, but the thought of heroes still being around even after it being deemed as a fantasy now by the public eye.

It all started when I was ten years old, I used to admire the fourth generation Killerpatty.

Before heroes were all seen as big icons of heroism by the public, everyone relied on him and other heroes back then... that just made regular people weaker than ever since they couldn't solve their own problems. Back then I was with Ma and Pa, we were getting off of a major subway station in the city of ribeye, after we got off the train I felt something was wrong, I could hear a ticking noise and presumed it to be a bomb... I could've saved my parents and myself if I wasn't so stupid to think the fucking Killerpatty would swoop in and deactivate the bomb which could've saved everyone from the explosion but that never happened... a massive heat blast hit me and the whole station came crumbling down, I was stuck in the rubble for 2 days straight with my left arm pinned under some debris, I kept calling for Killerpatty to help us... to help me but he never came.

I was left there to die. Somehow I got out, I presume either a rescue force or a hero saved me but I don't remember and I don't care to remember, after I got out of the rubble, my left arm was removed from my body as it was severely crushed by the debris and my cheek was torn open by flying debris, as for my parents... they were dead, I was one of few survivors from that incident and I was taken into a orphanage, I was left alone by everyone there, I had no reason to do anything, I just wanted to left alone.

3 months had gone by, nothing excited happened since but someone came in, he wore a suit and was buff, he wanted to adopt one of us which made all the children excited but I didn't care, nobody wanted a one armed child, the man began to walk through the orphanage examining each and every one of us, some kids fainted from looking at him, suddenly he looked at me, I look at him in returned it felt like he saw something in me but who knew, he said "this one will do." And he took me in and gave me a name change to John Moxley and thus I was given a purpose by my father.

That enough of me talking about my backstory to myself, I began to get a call from non other but my father, he sent me to go make a weapons deal with a rival gang that I personally hated but my father wanted to make good relations with but he really planned to absorbed the rival gang into the our Apex gang, I hated the idea but I couldn't disobey my father.

My phone rang and I made sure to pick up, "Hello?" I questioned, "John, its your father, I came to remind you that the deal that I sent you to do is in two days now and I dont need you fucking things up for the name of Apex." Father explained to me, "Don't worry, I have everything under control, just sell their boss the weapons and it'll help improve relation with them I've heard you say that dozens of times now." I replied back, "I'm deadly serious John, if you mess up this deal you will not only hear from your sibling but you'll also hear from me." Father continued on and on, I was really hoping he would shut up by now, "I got it I got it, you don't have to worry about anything father." I continued to reassure my father, "I'll be watching you boy." He said before hanging up the phone, "I love you too..." I quietly said to myself, I wish I could rebel against him but I owe him too much now, after he took me in, he gave me a home, good food and a prosthetic arm, I know he doesn't love me as a son and that he's just using me for this so called "shadow power" he keeps telling me about, I don't care for whatever that is unlike my siblings who all contain a shadow power and same goes for father.

I had get some rest now, I knew that tomorrow's deal would be a life changer in a good and bad way.

all I had to do wait and find out.
