Chapter 3 - Return

[ A/N: This is how he looks]

Yun Tian appeared to be in his twenties yet in truth he was over 1,000 years old having been training and refining himself to the point his power was now unmatched in the world he was in. His vast amount of knowledge and understanding of a myriad of techniques was nearly boundless without any flaws in them.

He matured from mere koi fish to a mighty dragon exuding noble air that was mesmerizing and captivating demeanor that despite his power did not have any sign of arrogance only pride and honor. Yun Tian's physical age may be 1,000 years but his mentality was even more due to the effect of his [ Temporal Demon Spirit Book ] that turned into a vine connecting his soul.

Yun Tian after he had finished the trial and saw his status went to look behind him where the monument stood looking down at him and without a moment of hesitation kowtow before worshiping it with all his heart.

"I, Yun Tian, worshiped the Honored Master and am forever indebted to the blessing gifted to me. I shall use it in ways that do not ruin your name and vowed to bring honor."

He worshiped the monument grateful that he had been given an opportunity to gain power and decided to use it in his honor. Yun Tian won't let it get into his head thinking he's above everyone else as he was once a commoner living like everyone else. Many would have been corrupted and ought to be arrogant, forgetting their humble beginnings. He knew that worshiping a master was akin to acknowledging them as their parents.

The statue shows crackling in bluish lightning where its eyes glowed looking down at the young man who remains kowtowing showing him utmost respect and reverence. Soon an old thunder voice could be heard and spoke to Yun Tian

"I am pleased with your words and accept you as my disciple and grandson. You've sharpened yourself to become a blade that can cut through any tribulation and remain humble through it all."

Yun Tian wasn't only fighting and had been tested mentally through a dilemma in which he was given choices and answered them perfectly with a firm belief in them. This gave him a profound understanding of things and solutions to how to solve things.

"You are still far from your true potential and still have work to do in this world. Explore the land and Collect the remnant pages of the Temporal Demon Spirit Book. Once you are done in this world you may come to me."

His master's voice reverberated and accepted the task given to him as he understood there were many mysteries left for him to explore and understand.

"It will be done, Master. I won't let you down."

Yun Tian vowed in his name where his master smiled from afar and an invisible force seemed to caress his head, incredibly happy to have decided to take him in.

"Yes, I know. But my grandson you may call me grandfather or grandpa whichever you prefer. I am excited to see you soar through the heavens carrying my will like a raging tempest."

He was incredibly pleased and grateful to find a humble and talented grandson who hasn't been blinded by power.

"Yes, grandfather."

"Then, I bid you good luck, my grandson. Until we meet again and hope you gain your own family by then. The three little girls seem to have grown fond of you."

His grandfather teases until his presence slowly vanishes leaving Yun Tian who slowly stands up looking at the monument that had vanished finding himself a wall behind him and a tunnel leading to the outside world.

'It should only have been a month that had passed outside.'

Yun Tian thought to himself that there was a pocket dimension that time diluted in 1 month equal to 1 thousand years inside. Before he left, Yun Tian inspected his inner world which expanded into a small universe brimming with life and energy that accumulated strength from the lifeform inside.

He then inspected his [ Godly Grimoire ] where it was similar to his inner world but instead had a much denser and stronger energy that nourished anyone below his power. It was perfect for those who will follow in the near future. The young man was satisfied with the power he gain and quickly transformed himself into a child reducing his charms to a mortal level.

'Even though you reduce your charm, master you still look amazing!'

'Are we going to meet our sisters?'

Yun Tian heard two beautiful female voices simply nod, acknowledged their presence, and smiled. The owner of these voices is the [ Twin Goddess sword ] that grew alongside him through his trial. They had their own ego and were with him for a long time being the first woman who was acknowledged as his wives. Though, he couldn't take their Vital Yin due to the need to cultivate and concentrate on getting stronger.

Still as an immortal being bound to his soul they didn't care for how long they will wait as the two will always be by his side. Yun Tian was happy that they were there accompanying him throughout it or else the trial would be a lot harder.

As they had said, Yun Tian even with his charms reduced to mortal level would still charm people, especially abilities and anyone who has the ability would have taken full advantage of the people affected but Yun Tian doesn't have any desire to do so. It is their choice if they truly fall and be with him or not.

'Mia, Mio, I am not sure, if they truly wish to be by my side despite what I've become and the price of being with me then I shall take them. For now, we will help Glory City the best we can.'

Yun Tian was a lot older than them and it would be strange for someone like him to take advantage of their maturing heart. He only knew them for once and was still a commoner while they were noble therefore it would be bad for them to fall for him. Mio and Mia sensing his inner turmoil giggled and then said.

'Husband, you shouldn't think like that or you'll hurt their heart by rejecting them.'(Mia)

'You may be commoner but in truth, you are far greater than them and it is fact. Husband, you can at least try and test their interest in you by spending time with them.'(Mio)

He was hesitant to have someone vastly younger than him who hadn't matured to understand what they were feeling and might mistake gratitude for love. Though, Yun Tian had years of contemplation to know that he could at least see how things will go.

'Not to mention, you have all the best quality Husband! Handsome and powerful yet also kind and gentle!'(Mia)

'Umu, even Heaven would sprea—'(Mio)

'Okay, I understand. No need to say it.'

Sensing vulgar words coming out from Mio immediately interrupted her causing the dark sword goddess to pout while Mia giggled. Yun sighed and then began to walk away to the exit where he was blinded by the shimmering sunlight and the fresh air around him. Though, the energy was a lot more thin than the trial he was in still enjoyed the sight and beauty around him.

He felt nostalgic seeing the forest that he had grown up in and once lived in a thousand years ago despite only a month passed. Yun Tian descended the cave taking a stroll in the forest where he encountered a Horned sheep who upon seeing him immediately ran away sensing the danger executing from him.

Yun Tian simply ignored the demon beast and went straight to Glory City where he did his usual routine, deciding to look around to remember his life before. The people who knew him greeted him questioning where he had been for the past month while he simply said he's been busy with something.

"Is that so, well here have this. It isn't much but it will fill you up real good."

Yun Tian was handed some food and gratefully took it before continuing his way around the Glory City spreading his senses and noticing interesting things that he would investigate. He frowned after sensing the malicious intention of a few individuals residing in one of the Sacred Family.

He summoned his [ Phantom Shadow ] to spy on them, decided to let them for now, and planned on taking them down as destroying them wouldn't be great when there won't be anyone willing to take care of the downfall. In addition, the sudden destruction of a powerful family would cause chaos among the people, and would be ideal to wait until the right time to strike.

Yun Tian was able to find three pages of the [ Temporal Demon Spirit Book ] within Glory City and a treasure hidden away in a few places. He decided to take them later and continued exploring the Glory City while his busy wandering, news of his return was received by the three little girls who had been eagerly waiting for him to visit them.

They were playing in the City Lord mansion with Ye Ziyun when they were informed of the arrival of Yun Tian who they had been searching for the past month. Ye Zong was troubled at the fact that his daughter had been head over heels for Yun Tian while his wife, Ye Xue giggled whenever he complained that Yun Tian corrupted the heart of his innocent girl.

He was scolded by her telling him that the young boy seemed mature and well-mannered and that even if he was a commoner would be a lot better than letting her marry a man who was arrogant and cruel like few had suggested by the Sacred Family.

She heard that he could have received multiple rewards from the Huyan Family and Winged Dragon Family yet refused to merely take the healing elixir and went on his way. For someone, the same age as her daughter to act mature meant he had lived a life alone. Ye Xue already wanted to meet the boy and judge his character if he is right for her daughter.

Ye Zong disliked the idea and simply said that the person who would marry his daughter should be stronger than him receiving a stern look from his wife silencing him. Ye Xue always noticed her daughter in a daze thinking about how she was saved by Yun Tian over and over again.

Ye Xue spoke to her often about it and truly understood that her daughter was love-struck, unable to remove the thought of Yun Tian from her mind. She smiled as a mother seeing her daughter having her first love was a sight to behold. Ye Ziyun asked her mother about what she was feeling and Yu Xue happily explained what she was feeling, causing the seed within her heart to bud even further.

Meanwhile, the Huyan Family also find themselves witnessing their young lady slowly falling for the boy who came to save them, pondering when he will return and wanting to play with him. Huyan Xiong watched his daughter fall into a daze and instantly knew that her daughter had been lovestruck. He wasn't that strict of a father and saw that her daughter falling for someone wasn't much of an issue if he took interest in the boy thinking she'll get over it.

Xiao Ning'er was also under Yun Tian's spell often reading things about love stories and her father was troubled since even after a month her daughter had truly been smitten by the young boy's charm. Xiao Yunfeng did like the boy and how he had spoken unlike the Sacred Family that had been pressuring them and doing his best to delay their request hoping that he could protect his daughter but he knew it was only a matter of time before his force gave her daughter away. He inwardly sighs when the news of Yun Tian returning came into his ears knowing that his daughter and her friend would come running to Yun Tian.

Back to Yun Tian, he decided to visit Ye Ziyun and the others as he promised that he'll visit them and when the guards saw him immediately understood who he was based on the description given to them by the City Lord and Yun Tian waited for them until he heard a voice come behind.

"Yun Tian!"

All three voices were heard and turned around only to be pushed onto the ground letting himself fall and were embraced by the little girls, shocking the guards and wondering who the young boy was to make their young lady act this way. Yun Tian wryly smiled seeing how they were tightly hugging him trying not to let him escape.
