Chapter 4 - Scolded

Yun Tian was immediately confronted and scolded by the little girls as if he was their husband who left without leaving a message. He silently listened to their words and understood that they were still children and immature letting them be since he did promise to visit. Once they finished scolding was pulled inside the courtyard showing him around where Yun Tian was awed by the beauty of it despite having an entire world within his body and another space inside his Grimoire still enjoyed the beautiful garden.

He then noticed something within the soul of Xiao Ning'er and Ye Ziyun realize that they had pieces of [ Temporal Demon Spirit Book ] and used his power to consume them taking the piece out of their soul where Yun Tian instantly grew stronger acquiring memories of the future that had yet to be and never be.

'Is that how it is…'

Yun Tian thought himself looking through the memories of Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning'er where Glory City had been destroyed by the Demon beast horde and only a select few survived the calamity while the Sacred Family escaped during the riot. They abandon their home and their duty where their fate was unknown.

He saw how Ye Ziyun fell for a young man named Nie Li and went on a journey until her untimely death. Yun Tian was curious about this young man seeing how the next time he appeared was upon meeting Xiao Ning'er who was fated to fall to a disease that left her crippled yet persevered allowing her to be one of the surviving people from glory city. The young man Nie Li appears to still carry the burden of Ye Ziyun's death and didn't see Xiaon Ning'er who was slowly falling in love with her until she died.

'What tragedy….'

Yun Tian was saddened to see them live a life of grief and loss but he decided to save them since he has the power to do so. He realizes that in their memories he never met them and was saved shortly after by the city lord, which meant their fate was connected to him regardless of what he did.

He inwardly sighed hearing Mio and Mia giggled seeing their master was fated to be with the little girls before him knowing he won't stand ideally without trying to help them the best he could. Yun Tian still had things that needed to be done and waited until the right moment presented itself.

Yun Tian was dragged into a pavilion where it had a gorgeous pond containing Koi fish where Ye Ziyun let her hand into the water and the other followed feeling the fish biting their fingers and tickling them. Once they were done, they all sat on the pavilion where Hanyu Lanruo took his lap making the other two pout but each took his arms.

Mio and Mia laughed watching their future sister act with their master. They expected them to act this way as in their eyes there isn't any man better than their master.

"Where have you been all this time, Yun Tian?"(Lanruo)

"Yeah, we've been waiting for you but you never came to visit us."(Ziyun)

"From now you won't be leaving us!"(Ning'er)

Yun Tian's sweat dropped, being confronted by them once again, and seeing their eyes couldn't help but give in. He was going to stay in Glory City for another month to help them grow.

"Sorry, I've been caught up with something. I swear If I ever leave again I'll come back as soon as possible."

"Okay."

They were satisfied and began to tell stories that Yun Tian happily listened to. He was happy that after 1,000 years he was able to chat with new people. Yun Tian loved having Mio and Mia accompanying him but it gives him a different kind of joy having new people.

From afar, Ye Xue arrived to watch her daughter with her friends and a good-looking young boy around 10 years old the same age as her daughter. She giggled upon seeing her daughter having a beaming smile that she hadn't seen before and truly understood that his daughter truly took a liking to him. Her daughter was ten years old and 5 more years would be an adult therefore it isn't strange for her to act this way.

She watched them explore the garden, noticing how the young boy would intently listen and treat her daughter like a friend. He was different from the young boy who had an interest in Ye Ziyun. Even the adopted son, Ye Han, that her husband took doesn't hold a candle to how Yun Tian acted around her daughter.

He was patient and mature, treating Ye Ziyun with care that didn't have any hidden motives. The same goes for the other girls who are also love-stricken and pampered by Yun Tian competing for his attention. Ye Xue is rooting for her daughter's success but she believes it would be better if he took them all knowing it would hurt the other two girls who had the same feeling as her daughter.

She even told her husband it was fine for him to find a few more wives but refused telling her that she was the only one for him. Ye Xue was happy to hear her husband's words at that time and continued to watch them until she decided to introduce herself to Yun Tian who noticed her arrival and made Huyan Lanruo move who pointed as Yun Tian bowed and introduced himself.

"Greetings Lady Xue, my name is Yun Tian, thank you for having me."

Yun Tian politely said while Ye Xue smiled softly appreciating his tones and demeanor that didn't feel forced. She had met some people trying to curry favor with them before and often ignored them knowing their hidden intention. The young boy was honest with his words and made it even more enticing to trust her daughter to him.

"You're welcome and I should be the one to thank you for saving my daughter a month ago."

Ye Xue was grateful that Yun Tian was there to save her only daughter and save them in a life of sadness and loss. She couldn't bear to think of losing her child when she was still young and had a future ahead of her.

"Think nothing of it, I was merely at the right time and the right moment. It was only fate that led me in saving them."

Yun Tian truly believed it was by chance and miracle that he was there even without him they would still be safe but for a short while considering how things will turn out without him becoming this strong. He understood that someone like him needed to help Glory City avoid the calamity about to befall their city.

He looked at Ye Xue and remembered how she was fated to die for an unknown reason but he easily discerned that it has to do with the Sacred Family. Ye Xue smiled hearing his words and said.

"You are certainly a well-spoken young boy. Well, please take care of my daughter from now on."

Ye Ziyun blushed upon hearing her mother while Yun Tian smiled and nodded knowing what she meant by it. He already started to view Ye Ziyun as a friend enjoying her company. Yun Tian does have close friends like Lu Paio and Du Ze meeting them often in the market. He never met Nie Li though.

The other two girls became jealous, staring at Ye Ziyun who was both happy and embarrassed that her mother would approve of Yun Tian. Ye Xue giggled and decided to add the two.

"But make sure not to break the other two's hearts. I don't want Ye Ziyun to lose a friend."

This made Huyan Lanruo and Xiao Ning'er while Ye Ziyun looked at them understood that they also liked Yun Tian and she also doesn't want to lose a friend simply because they like the same person. Yun Tian wryly smiled hearing Ye Xue's request but he didn't want to make them sad by refusing.

[ A/N: Remember this isn't our society and the norms are vastly different. Kids mature much quicker than how it is today. ]

"I will. They are now my friends and I don't want them to be sad."

Ye Xue gave a satisfied smile before excusing herself, leaving them happily playing with each other running around and laughing through it all until Ye Zong arrived at the scene frowning seeing his daughter getting along with some random young boy even if he saved his daughter didn't like how he stole her heart. His wife pinch him forcing him to stop glaring and went to greet them followed by an old man. Yun Tian bowed down and welcomed them.

"Greeting City Lord, Elder. I want to apologize for the intrusion."

Yun Tian knew that the City Lord didn't like him because of how protective he was and completely understood his reason. He didn't mind the treatment, especially the fact he was still the city lord.

"Hmm."

Ye Zong gives praise to his manners knowing when to give respect. He was still protective of his daughter but wanted to see what kind of boy he was and if he was better than the people in the sacred family. He could care less about talent and focuses more on the character wanting her to be happy.

"Tell me, boy, where have you been for the past month?"

He had investigated the boy learning that he's been an orphan ever since he was an infant having rested in a nearby orphanage and living by himself once he was able to work. Ye Zong saw that the boy was admirable for being able to live and survive without relying on anyone.

According to the people on the streets close to where he was living said that he was a diligent and hardworking boy who often helped them the best way he could. Ye Zong learned that he never complained and worked with a smile on his face.

"Ah yes, about that, I wish to speak with you, City Lord. It is something I cannot share with anyone but you and those that you trust."

Yun Tian's tone showed that he had something that could change everything as Ye Zong looked at him, seeing his eyes that were different compared to the last time they met, and nodded.

"Follow me."

The three girls frown while Ye Xue giggled and helped calm them down allowing Yun Tian to speak with Ye Zong. He was led to the city lord's office where Ye Zong sat down while the other elder was to the side.

"Forgive me elder but how should I address you?"

Yun Tian already knew who he was based on the memories of Ye Ziyun. However, he is someone who isn't known by the public.

"You may call me Ye Xiu. It is rare to see someone mature at your age."

Ye Xiu praised his ability to speak and how he chose his words carefully while Yun Tian simply nodded and began to speak about what had happened.

"City Lord, Senior Xiu, the truth about my appearance is that I've come into contact with a peerless master who had accepted me as his disciple hoping that I would provide assistance to Glory City."

Their faces shook when Yun Tian exuded power that made them tense up, noticing power far superior to them. He appeared more profound and powerful, shocked that his rank was a Peak Legend Rank or rather a Demigod. Yun Tian lowered his cultivation to at least help them understand.

Ye Zong and Ye Xiu we're only black gold, a lot older than him yet he's already reached Legend rank! Normally this meant If a family produces a gold-rank demon spiritualist, they can become an aristocratic family; if they produce a black gold-rank demon spiritualist, they can become a noble family; and if they produce three black gold-rank demon spiritualist or a legend rank spiritualist, they can become a major family.

Their common sense was broken wondering what had they been doing for someone to easily surpass their cultivation and Yun Tian was away for only a month!

"W-What!? Y-You're peak Legend Rank!?"

Ye Zong was in utter disbelief having met him and he was only a normal young boy without any cultivation yet now his power eclipses his! He was the son of the city lord provided with the best resources yet his only Black Gold!

He could have easily been arrogant around them with the power he wields yet remain humble, especially with his attitude around him. Ye Zong felt ashamed of the way he acted and slowly calmed down pondering if he truly fancy his daughter then he is the perfect match. However, he has to see if he's not hiding any bad intentions and making her daughter cry.

Ye Xiu was not far still trying to wrap his head around the fact a little boy the same age as Ye Ziyun had the power of a Peak Legend Rank. If his words were true then their City would face a new era and finally prosper.
