Chapter 6

Trouble

Another day, another reason to drink, that's the saying...

Well, it's my saying but whatever.

I get myself into some black shorts and another long sleeve t shirt, I get myself ready for a little morning workout and well like I thought earlier some alcohol, I walk out my room and head to the kitchen to only see Nat sitting there while she ate breakfast alone. I wasn't trying to be rude but guessing how they've been treating me I didn't think she would want me there in her personal space, "morning," I mumbled before clicking the elevator and waited for a reply, but of course nothing came out of her mouth.

Don't get me wrong I don't know her, but a simple morning would've been fine, I put in my earphones and play the song 'Million Years Ago' by Adele and stretch before beginning my run.

I didn't expect for them to be upset at the fact of getting a new teammate, I mean I understand, but the only one that has made me feel welcomed was Bruce and Thor a bit.

"Maybe I shouldn't have joined," I whispered to myself.

These people don't owe me anything, I don't know why I'm upset.

I shouldn't be so worked up over such a small thing, if they don't want to welcome me that is completely fine, I can work around everything, I've done it before with others, the only thing my mind should be filled is with finding my brother.

"Finding Alonzo is my main reason being here," I mumbled as I ran faster "become faster, stronger, smarter, I got this."

I ran about 10 miles until I headed back to the apartment to start my training.

I walk into the apartment expecting it to be empty only to see Mr. Stark talking to everyone in the living room. All eyes are on me as I try to walk away quietly "no hi Mr. Stark?" I heard him ask in his cheeky tone, I turn around to him and do a simple peace sign "where have you been I sent a request for a meeting?" he stood up and walked over to me. I scratch my ear and sigh "yeah I heard, I just didn't know the time, thought my run would've been faster."

"Heard you ran 10 miles straight huh?" he raised his eyebrows.

"Eh I jogged a bit in between, Clovis tell you that?"

"He looks after you when I'm not around so yeah pretty much," Stark laughed.

"Well now that you have arrived take a seat right next to our captain here," Mr. Stark led me to sit next to Steve who looked at me with an annoyed expression.

"When I was late, I was ignored all day," Thor grumbled "this isn't fair now is it."

I stayed quiet "well I'm sorry I didn't think I was going to take long," I mumbled.

"We ignore you even when you're early," Sam laughed before hitting Thor's arm.

"Very funny, now that we are done with this little chit chat and pointing fingers, we have very important things to discuss," Mr. Stark smiled fakely towards us "anyways like I was saying before Ana rudely interrupted me by coming in late," I roll my eyes and sigh before leaning on the side of the couch. "Today we will be going over everything that you have all got when I sent you all on missions and blah blah blah- "

I felt my eyes slowly begin to close as I hear him explain something that the team did wrong, God this was so boring, when I did work for Fury all he did was tell me what to do and do it quick, just give him information and boom I am out. When I did a bit of work for Mr. Stark, he would explain why he needed it and just random things, I mean at points I do listen and you know, but right now I was not here for it at all.

"Now for our new member who seems like she is lost in her thoughts," I heard Mr. Stark and I quickly look up to see him.

"Uhm yes?" I mumbled.

"Well for starters welcome, and I didn't get to introduce you to your team, well let us start off with the man you already met, Mr. Steve Rogers who is also known as Captain America himself, our own American born and bread boy, also a pain in my ass," Mr. Stark smiled. "Next to him is our black widow also named Natasha Romanova, quite talented in the art of arm fire of course, now Dr. Bruce Banner here our head scientist and helps with a lot of things, not going to explain further he will do that himself."

Bruce waves at me with a small smile, "Next will be- "the man called Thor cut him off "I shall introduce myself thank you, I am the all mighty son of Odin my name is Thor, honestly don't understand why we need another member when you have me, but whatever," Thor rolled his eyes.

Mr. Stark rolls his eyes at Thor before continuing his introductions "anyways we can ignore him, next will be Sam Wilson also known as the Falcon, there are a few other members but they aren't with us currently so I will just tell you their names and when you see an unfamiliar face just, just try to match them up," he waved his hand. "So there is another female on our team named Wanda Maximoff, she is the scarlet witch and can do cool magic tricks with her hands," Mr. Stark joked "Vision who is a syntheziod advanced android, he's a guy that is the color of a tomato you'll know as soon as you lay eyes on him, next is Spiderman he isn't here because he is actually in college doing classes which you should honestly be at as well but his name Peter Parker. Then we have Bucky Barnes who is caps best friend and I don't like him, but somehow, he landed in our team, he has a piece of metal replacing his left arm. And that is everyone I can remember right now, and I still have to introduce you as well."

"This is Ana, no last name, she used to be a worker for Fury himself, must be very happy that she is no longer by his side," Mr. Stark clapped his hands "anyways she is now here under us, well actually under me since I have hired her, she is a great with a gun, but her specialty is knives or even a sword- "

"Does she have anything else? Like powers? Because this just sounds like Nat," Sam mumbled.

"Chill little bird, you just have some wings," Thor mumbled annoyed.

"Just shut it both of you, I am a very busy man and you both are getting on my nerve, so let me go back to what I was saying, she is a very intelligent and has almost as much strength as Rogers honestly maybe even more, she is from Mexico and- "

"I have a question?" Thor spoke up again "were you like in an experiment, locked up or something, I mean only because of your you know," he points to me.

"Pretty dark question, some people don't like to be reminded of the past," I sighed.

"Yeah, yup sorry, should've kept my mouth shut."

"Thor seriously just shut up," Mr. Stark rolled his eyes.

"You know what, Ana can introduce herself maybe you won't interrupt her," he dramatically sat down and gestured me to stand up.

I sigh before standing up and bowing "I'm Ana please treat me well," and I sat back down before doing a quick peace sign.

"Woman of many words, you'll get used to her, maybe you'll forget she is even here at points," Mr. Stark joked "so next up is the information Ana has brought back- "I tuned out once again before I hear Clovis voice.

"Yes, Ana killed the man," I look up seeing all eyes on me "hm?" I mumbled.

"Did you kill one of the guards?" Mr. Stark asked.

"Yeah," I shrugged.

"That's not what we do here," Steve mumbled keeping his eyes forward.

"Well, that's what I do."

"Uhm, Ana no," I look up at Stark who was telling me to be quiet.

"That's what should have happened, you should've captured them and brought them back to base," Steve stood up and looked at me.

"Why should that even be a choice, they're bad guys, what's the world with one less," I sighed before crossing my legs and looking up at him.

"Just because it could be done doesn't mean you should Ana," Nat stood next to Steve.

"Now now let us all calm down," Thor laughed softly before looking at me with a sad expression, "don't even try," he mouthed.

I didn't want to cause problems, but I didn't like how they were treating me like I was a child that took candy from a jar.

"Okay understood, don't kill is that all?" I stood up and bumped his shoulder lightly "I'm not a kid," I whispered and walked into my room.

"Calm down Arte," Clovis spoke.

I slammed my fist against the wall "why the fuck are they so mad when I killed someone that was trying to kill me, it's fucking stupid," I mumbled and sat down on my bed.

I hear the team begin to yell at one another "you couldn't tell her not to kill?" Steve yelled.

"One mistake Rogers get over it she didn't know!" Mr. Stark yelled.

"She can't even tell right from wrong," I hear Nat.

"Why bring her here? This is a team Tony and from the looks of it she doesn't want to be here or even tell us a little bit about herself!"

"Why should she tell you guys anything now huh? You already showed your true colors to her the first day you saw her," Mr. Stark sighed.

"What were we supposed to do? Hug her and welcome her on the team? We told you we didn't need another member- "

"So why would you guys take it out on her? She didn't know! - and for Christ sake she is 22- " fed up with the arguing I stand up and change into some jeans and another long sleeve shirt before walking out my room and putting on my helmet.

"Where are you going?" I hear Steve call out.

"No offense Cap but I'm not a kid, I need some air and a bar," I mumbled before leaving.

"See what you did!" Stark yelled.

The Next Day

"Jesus, you look terrible," Clovis spoke as I took of my helmet and walked towards the apartment.

After staying in my little hiding spot for a while I decided to well let loose and found myself in a random guy's house. Doing a quick change, I ditched the next morning out of embarrassment of knocking out, now I am doing the walk of shame in my short mini dress and no shoes.

"But did I have a blast?" I mumbled "eh I had more fun in other places, but I'll take what I can get."

Before the elevators can close a large metal arm comes in view.

I knew who it was due to Mr. Starks introduction yesterday.

I guess this is how our first meeting will be with one another, me looking like shit.

I look to see a man with longish brown hair in a small ponytail taking off his mask and taking a deep breath, he takes a quick glance at me before ignoring my complete existence. Knowing I was going to introduce myself in the end it was better to be polite and not cause anymore trouble, I bow to him "morning, Ana," I mumbled as he nodded "Bucky," he sighed.

As the doors open there was Steve standing there with a cup of coffee, Bucky walks in front of me before saying a quick hi to the cap, I begin to walk to my room when I feel someone grab my wrist "Ana, where were you? We didn't see you come back."

"I did actually return in the afternoon and then got ready to go to a club," I mumbled, and I pulled my hand away "nothing big I just got back."

"It's the next day, getting back from where?"

"I don't know someone's house."

Steve looks at me up and down and sighs.

I walked into my room and quickly showered; I walk back out into the kitchen to get some cereal but was only met with Thor sitting on the counter with a beer.

"Well, hello," Thor smiled at me as he leaned on to the surface with a flirty expression.

"Morning," I mumbled.

Bruce all sudden walks in digging into his pockets looking stressed.

"Uhm Bruce?"

He turns to me and sighs "Ana can I ask you for a favor? I know we barley know one another but I really need to pick up Peter from collage in 5 minutes and I forgot wear I left my keys, and I'm a slow driver and Peter gets car sick when I drive, and I also have to finish an experiment for Stark and then- "

"Bruce," I called out "sure, don't worry about it, it's fine," I sighed as I see him calm down a bit.

"Are you sure?"

"Like I said it's fine, don't worry, uhm just give me the name of the college and I'll be on my way," I mumbled

I grabbed myself some food and walked towards my room "I'm going to change really quick, and I'll be on my way."

I change into a pair of black tights and into a long sleeve shirt, I walk out my room and see Bruce standing impatiently on the other side of my door "here you go now I will be on my way if that's fine," he sighed, and I nodded.

(Basically, Thor got ignored, how sad lmao.)

I put on my helmet only to activate Clovis "Hello Arte, I can see you are holding a paper," he said.

"Yes, and I need you to give me the directions to this college," I mumbled.

"Well, it's not a college but a University, also it's about a good hour drive to and from the destination."

"I can make is shorter," I mumbled before getting on my bike, before I can drive, I hear a can hit the floor beside me, I look up to only see Bucky on the top of the building drinking and looking down at me "watch it!" I yelled before driving off.

"Arte, who is that person?" Clovis asked confused.

"Another member of the team, not really important honestly, now play 'She's my Collar' by Gorillaz please," I mumbled.

I know I uploaded a lot of last week, but honestly it was because I was sick in bed and had nothing else better to do and while on this chapter, I was still thinking of what else to write lol. It is not finished and it's super cute, well for me.
