Shooting Stars

"Dwayne, how's your investigation?" A middle-aged man asked in a hoarse voice the man on the other side of the table.

It was nighttime and the wind is chilly, coupled with the dark surroundings, it was creepy, only the lights in the middle of the table can be seen.

"I didn't find anything" Dwayne shook his head and answered the middle-aged man while looking outside the window.

The middle-aged man is called Henry and he is a guard of the palace in the Capital City of Credia Empire. At this moment, he was talking with Dwayne that was an assassin.

"That's weird, I clearly saw a human-shaped line in there" Henry thought and look at Dwayne and smile, "Brother Dwayne thank you for investigating that place, maybe it was just me being tired that I'm seeing illusion".

"No problem, it was just investigating, nothing much", With that Dwayne and Henry got up form their sit and look at each others eyes before smiling and making a handshake, "I'll be going now".

"Okay, you should be careful on the forest" After Henry's voice faded, Dwayne's silhouette gradually disappeared in the darkness and only he is left, standing there looking at the darkness then he turn around and walk into the window.

"The moon is bright tonight" Gazing at the shining moon, Henry closed his eyes and begin feeling the energy in it and started absorbing. After a while he open his eyes that was shining but immediately disappear and sigh while looking at the shining moon, "It would be great if I hadn't read that book".

With a long sigh, he turned around and was preparing to disappear in the darkness but at this moment, an incomparably bright light suddenly appeared in the horizon and lighting up the dark environment, including the tightly shut house as long as there's a way for the light to go through.

Henry was stunned about the sudden appearance of the light and can't help but look at the window only to see a dazzling light in the horizon moving at fast speed toward the other side.

Henry look at the direction where the light is going and left the room, outside the room is a small house that only has a table and a chair but Henry did not bother looking around and immediately got out of the house.

It was a forest outside and since it was nighttime it should be dark and creepy but it was not dark instead it was so bright that you can clearly see what's in the forest.

If one look in the forest, you can find a lot of beast lurking around, this beast look hideous to look at but there's some beast that look beautiful.

Henry look at this beast and before shifting his gaze to the shining light, "It's going to the Sacred Land"

Henry took a deep breath before going back inside the house. After Henry goes back inside the house, the light was gone and darkness comes once again and the beast can no longer be seen.

Outside the forest

It was already dark but Dwayne did not bother about it and instead he look at the light going to the Sacred Land.

Unlike Henry, Dwayne seems to be in deep thought about the light.

Yesterday he investigate the entrance of the Sacred Land and found some footprint of a human but he didn't tell it to Henry.

Even though they're friends, they just met each other a weeks ago and did not fully trust each other.

BOOM.

At this moment, a loud bang resound in the world and ripples kept spreading while violent wind comes and tear a tree, and the ground was vibrating violently.

Dwayne was stunned about this sudden turn, but he quickly adapt to it and stared ahead and saw an upcoming tree coming at him but he immediately dodge it before balancing himself and defending himself from the strong wind.

He put his hand infront of him and a white light appeared while lines kept appearing and connecting each other and formed a formation, after the formation finished a white column immediately surrounded him and it defend him from the violent wind but it was cracking every second, of course he did not wait for the formation to be destroyed.

He lift his other hand and a green light shows up before slapping it in the ground, immediately after a huge tree two times the size of an ordinary tree appeared and defend Dwayne from the wind while the white column of the formation in his other hand was destroyed and countless particles was scattering in every direction before sitting on the ground.

The green light was a magic of nature that didn't need a spell casting while the formation was a magic of formation that needs time for the line to connect.

The magic of nature is a natural gift of the people of Feymarch since they born, even though they're not as proficient as the elves, still they can use the magic of nature with ease, while the magi of formation was a magic used for defending or for attacking but Dwayne used a defensive formation and it cost him his elemental power, but he immediately sit cross-legged and absorb the surrounding elements to quickly replaced his elemental magic that was used.

At this moment, the violent wind cause a big impact all around the world and any living beings was shaken by it.

Be it ordinary people or beast and demons who are in hiding was scared by the sudden change. Especially the people who was more proficient of using magic.

At this moment, the violent wind finally stop and the shaking of the ground ease and Dwayne open his eyes but he did not dare to relax himself.

He has a gloomy expression he began removing the huge tree and making himself stand up, he look into the distance where the bright light was going earlier.

He knew that that light was the source of everything that happened and he also knew where it was going.

He investigate the Sacred Land yesterday and knew that something was amiss the moment he step into the entrance of the Sacred Land because no magical beast appeared.

Magical Beast is a beast that has the power to control elements, just like humans and they have intelligence too and only the Sacred Land has them.

Dwayne did not know the reason why the magical beast didn't appear yesterday but now he seems to know the reason.

He took a deep breath and look back where by now the tree of the forest was cut off, but some of them still stand while others was bent.

He gaze deeper as if trying to see the house in deepest part of the forest where Henry was staying.

After seeing that the house was intact, he left to where he was standing and vanished in the darkness.

At this moment no matter where it is, all living being was not very relaxed and all of them was preparing their weapon for something was about to come and they need to get ready for it.

And the source of all this is the Sacred Land where Magical Beast is staying, and what is the Sacred Land for the living beings of Feymarch? It was a dangerous places that even the lord of a high level can't get out alive.

All around the world, be it the sealed space, the unknown place that can't be explored or the forbidden land where the strongest people stay, they were disturbed by the sudden change of the Sacred Land.

No one knows the reason of this change except for the people who seen the true appearance of the huge light and some old people who call it "The Shooting Stars".
