Rest in the Abode

{3 minutes earlier....}

The people of Holward, 165 floors above where the students had fought against Oscar Orcus(?), were currently minding their own business.

When suddenly.....

The ground rumbled and shook heavily, to the point where a massive earthquake had happened on the entire town.

All of this was caused by the massive explosion below.

In their confusion, the people right on Holward began to pray to Ehit for protection, and the capable ones tried to use magic to regulate the earthquake to their best.

Despite only lasting for 3 minutes, the damages had already been done. Adventurers inside the labyrinth, along with hundreds, maybe even a thousand monsters bad died with them.

Pathways in the dungeon were blocked, and 93% of the buildings above were destroyed due to having weak materials.

It would cost a lot to repair the town, and a lot more time than normally needed. And due to the Black Market of the town's complete destruction, there was possibly no way for them to recover certain materials and ancient artifacts that were almost auctioned off.

There was one problem: Superstition.

Because the people in the town feared that the town was cursed, and hordes of monsters might possible come out of it, they decided to leave the area.

Soon enough, the plans for the rebuilding of the town which was one of the major economic groups of Heilig Kingdom was stopped by Ishtar (actually it was the order of Hearst), plunging it into a major crisis that might be solved months afterwards.... maybe.

{Meanwhile.....}

Satoru had decided to end their battle.

"Hmmm.... this fight is over. You win."

He declared bluntly, nodding his head in acceptance.

"....What?"

His students, flabbergasted, began to lower their stances at this declaration.

But veins appeared in Satoru's forehead, and he really was becoming annoyed by the moment that passed.

"Hey, don't "what?" me, foolish dumbnuts! That explosion has enough damage to our surroundings! If we continue this, the whole labyrinth might collapse unto us!"

He yelled at them, causing the group to look around the area while gaining a horrible realization.

The pillars became barely visible, the walls and ceiling looked to have been busted open and almost removed, allowing them to see the previous floors, one which was on fire recently, and where they were standing was the only thing that wasn't damaged.

"..... That was a miscalculation. But the labyrinth will be restored in under a week so there's nothing else to do here."

Satoru had turned towards where the "Abode of Traitors" were, and was glad that it was barely damaged.

"This place isn't really the best for your reward. Come, follow me, it's better in the Abode of Traitors."

The students followed after Eri and Aletia did, thinking that it was actually weird for him to say such a thing, but because he was the Creator of this Labyrinth, his claim probably was true.

Some of them still had some doubts, not letting their guards down seemed to be the right choice to do.

But, the moment they stepped into the Abode of Traitors, they were greeted by a massive room that had a sun held up on the air by a pillar.

This room was decorated like it was from Ancient Greece with several modern alterations.

There was also a small library somewhere on the room, a sort of living chambers with seven chairs surrounding a round table.

It amazed them, truly.

Suddenly, they were stopped by Satoru, who was still disguised as Oscar.

"The one named Hajime Nagumo. Come here for a moment, I must impart you with most of my knowledge with the ability to use one of the Ancient Magics from the Age of Gods. I feel you are the most compatible for it."

Satoru spoke with a significantly carefree tone, making Hajime give him a perplexed look.

"I mean, you looked like a former 3rd rate synergist with potential just like me."

'...That's feels like an insult....'

Hajime thought, getting irritated at Oscar through those words alone. Even Kaori was beginning to feel the same way as him.

He eventually gained the knowledge Oscar gained and even one of the Ancient Magics, [Creation Magic] while Satoru immediately began to slightly give his hair's original color back.

He had also given the other students and Aletia the ability to use [Creation Magic] while also fully restoring the original color of his hair.

After that, he yawned really hard.

Earlier, he was becoming too exhausted using the prototype of the E.S.K. due to not even getting enough sleep even with the usage of Ki to ease the exhaustion.

If he hadn't been exhausted, then all of his students would constantly be in situations resulting in near deaths.

His sleeping periods were only around 45 minutes ever since they were in the 1st floor, and that only eased up a bit of the exhaustion he had.

"Oh boy... I'm getting tired.... please tell the annoying Miledi Reisen I said I'll be waiting if you ever get the chance to defeat her labyrinth, okay?"

He spoke, immediately dropping his persona and tiredly walking to a nearby chair with a smile.

With exhaustion taking over him, he allowed himself to sleep.

Naturally, his students surrounded him and observed any reaction from him, but the only thing they heard was snoring.

Satoru was fast asleep, for days that would follow.

"Has anyone found any beds he could rest to?"

Eri asked, glancing at her classmates who pointed at where it was, before approaching Satoru with the intention to carry him.

But it seems like Aletia was about to go ahead of her. And because there was a mutual friendship between them, developed after weeks of just being together with Satoru, Eri assisted her.

After all, there was no time to waste on actively calling each other names, his safety was needed.

And the other students, having nothing else to do, began to wander around the massive room to explore and finally take a well deserved rest from all they've been through.

This abode was wide enough for them to live here for a long while, and their supplies were still many, enough for a week of consumption.

Now.... their week of rest in the Abode begins.
