War for Blueleaf - awards

The allied forces made their way the blueleaf capital.

The Unshakables were around 6500 strong. They had around 2000 hoplites, almost 1800 archers, and around 1300 swordmen and goblin warriors. The orcs, yak beastmen and original Unshakables are around 1000 strong.

The Unshakables have the following ranks:

Medea is a rank 5 Aries warrior. Arthur, Aries' horns, Baal and Olivier are close to rank 5. The other Aries are also strong rank 4s. Roland is finally adult and is a rank 2 gladiator swordman.

Garrek is a rank 5 battlemaniac and leads 400 gray orcs or so. One of them, Gratosh is a rank 5 battleaxe greatmaster and Jarlosh is a rank 5 orc warrior.

Hollnum is a rank 5 shaman warrior and leads 200 yaks or so.

Vandal became an early rank 4 and leads 7 rank 3s Tree trolls. Helios reached adulthood and is a rank 2 hoplite gladiator.

The goblins became so numerous that they are making for the bulk of the Unshakables.

The 2000 hoplites are led by Broblin and his 4 brothers. While Ghoblin, Froblin and Golblin each lead 500 men, Broblin and Whoblin are in the same unit. These hoplites increased their class' ranks but many are not even rank 2 monsters. Helios fights in Golblin's unit. Almost 1000 archers bolstered their forces. Rimuru, Firblin and the other mages are among these forces.

Goblun and the 8 other horns lead around 30 hydra spearmen and 600 goblins swordmen and warriors. They are accompanied with 400 archers

Onyx, Humlin and Onyxia simarly lead the 30 or so black goblins and 400 or so goblins warriors. They are accompanied with 400 archers. The 2 black goblin cat samurai joined them.

Dissidius ans 8 other nemean goblin lead a small party of 300 goblin warriors. Roland was among them.

Ezyze talked extensively with Arthur about strategy. They decided that the Undhalables would have shield wall. The hoplites would take in the enemies' charge and fight at the very frontlines. The 3 different goblin groups led by Goblun, Onyxia and Dissidius will be more mobile and sent towards the frontlines. The Aries, Orcs and Yak' troops would be able to move according to the situation. They had to train them as an army, but being more

6000 strong was something that Ezyze never hoped for as a mercenary.

Ezyze himself fought numerous enemies in the frontmines. He managed to kill many powerful foes and gained lots of experience ce points. The Golden Bees that were fighting in the Eternal Mluntain range contributed to him gaining experience points. This steady stream of experience allowed him to boost his primary class to rank 3. He didn't know which of his class to prioritize. He also wondered about these rarer classes that Sauruüne told him about. With the little lampor on his shoulder, they advanced towards the biggest and most important city in the Blueleaf Kingdom, Yggdra.

The city was at least 10 times bigger than Shuris. There, a tree was merging with the sky. Its leaves couldn't be seen as they were above the clouds. The city seemed slive. Hydrated by many rivers, filled with vegetation and people from very different races, Ygdra was a bizarre organism. Before its tall walls were big rivers and only 3 bridges allowed access to the city. When they walked on the main streets towards the royal palace, they were acclaimed as heroes. The Blueleaf soldiers entered the city first, standing proud and tall. The mercenaries were likewise proud of their accomplishments. They are swords for hire but these swords cut their enemies and saved the Kingdom.

Throughout the war, the royal family and important officials were updated of the war's progresses. Sauruüne was hailed as the dragonslayer and imperial killer. Andros the pourfander of lions and Argia the imperial poisoner.

Every troops stood guard nearby the palace. Only mercenary leaders and 2 of their close aids were allowed to attend the ceremony. The palace was packed with officials. The commanders and soldiers that distinguished themselves were invited to the ceremony.

There, a towering sylph was seated on a throne carved out with gems. She was wearing a green dress, adorned with crystals of various colors. She was leaking dense mana from her crystal blue crown. Her husband was a tall and seemed brutish. He was wearing a blue armor made with minerals.

"My name is Arargin Blueleaf and I am the queen of this kingdom. We were unjustly attacked by the Eternal Human Empire and they sent 3 of their brightest princes to lead a 12 million strong army. Our brave soldiers and mercenaries have shown great prowess and managed to overcome the odds, killing many of their soldiers and Ivan and Damian Blueleaf, princes with monstrous powers. We will reward the most deserful soldiers during this ceremony."

Everyone cheered. Outside and throughout Yggdra and the biggest cities of the kingdom, this ceremony was broadcasted with visual magic.

Many soldiers and commanders of the kingdom were rewarded, either by giving them rare resources or promoting them.

"Horus Arjan, for having killed 15 rank 5s Imperial soldiers and aiding Grilli Blueleaf in killing the Black deathknight company of Damian Goodheart, we will reward you with the position of commander of 3000 men. In addition, we will reward you with managing and defending Blomju, a smaller city located in the Bluecliff region."

A tall and tanned human left the company of two Scorpios. He walked towards her majesty Arargin and kneeled. Every soldiers cheered. This was who Scorpio was, thought Ezyze, Horus Arjan.

The rest of the commanders and generals were rewarded. It was the turn for the mercenaries. Many mercenary bands lost their leaders. The pharaoh legion, the bird of prey and so many others lost their masters. While they were grateful and accepted the money they were owed and the various reward, they didn't cheer as much as the others.

"Andros Khirissi, for having defending the central bridge and helping in killing Ivan Goodheart. For protecting Everain and contributing later in making Urgo Goodheart's army retreat, we will gift the Shurissi mercenaries, the right to settle across the Blacksaber kingdom, in the Northeast part of our Blueleaf kingdom."

He bowed and was gifted a ceremonial blade.

"Mercenary Ezyze, leader of the Unshakables. For having killed 32 rank 5, helping in defending the Western bridge of Everain and then defendin Everain against the final assault of Ivan Goodheart's troops. For helping in killing Damian Goodheart and his rank 5 dragon and then hunting the remnants of his army. For saving Grilli Blueleaf, ourcdear princess from dying from a dragon's breath. For rejoining, in the effort against Urgo Goodheart's army, we must reward you. We will give you 20 eggs of royal blue crostrich. In addition, you may choose one item from our treasury.

Thank you, your highness."

Ezyze kneeled and returned to Arthur's and Rea's side.

"Mercenary Sauruüne, leader of the Behemoths. For having killed 631 rank 5. For commanding the successful defense of the Western bridge. For killing Ivan Goodheart and leading the charge against the remnants of Ivan's army and making them retreat. For successful destroying Damian Goodheart's army and killing Damian Goodheart and his dragon Ashlonra'gor. For fighting Urgo Goodheart and defeating his army, your deeds are the highest during this war. You will be rewarded, as agreed a region in the arid plains, in the Northwest of our kingdom. This place will be yours and yours only. We also reward you with 100 eggs of royal blue crostrich, as well as 1000 armors from Blueleaf's finest craftsman. You may also choose 5 items from our treasury. Sauruüne, we hope that we will be able to have a great alliance and amicable relations with the kingdom that you will soon establish."

Sauruüne bowed slightly.

"Thank you, your highness Arargin Blueleaf. I, Sauruüne Dreada, hope to form an alliance with you and foster our close links for years to come."

Everyone was dumbfounded. Here, in Blueleaf, a monstruous being, leader of tens of thousands of mercenaries that have been in hundreds of war. Killer of great imperial princes and apparently holder of very powerful classes. This very being was rewarded lands and will found its own kingdom. The Southern continent will be affected by this news.

After the ceremony ended, Sauruüne and Ezyze were going to the royal treasury. Sauruüne was accompanied by Jarral, Ariel, Nebrus and Trap. They were surrounded by the king and queen, various royal guards and even Argia Blueleaf. The security was extremely tight and it was sure that they wouldn't be able to steal anything.

In the vast hunderground, thousands upon thousands of items were carefully exposed. Legendary weapons, ego weapons, eggs of fantastical beasts, armors made out of rare beasts' leathers or precious stones, rare elixirs and jewels. Thousands different gems and golds. There was at least 100 different items that Ezyze wanted to take.

Everyone looked very carefully around. All were hesitating. Ezyze didn't know what to do. The Aries armors and weapons were of very high quality. He thought about gifting Arthur a sword or Medea a sword. Some hoplites would do good with great spears or with outstanding armor. Dissidius, Onyxia or Goblun would do well with swords as well.

After speaking with Arthur and the others, they pleaded for him to take something for himself. That left aside many things. He decided to look around and see if something suited his taste.

In the end, everything suited his taste. In the end, he stopped in front of an axe. This axe was a battle axe and was stuck in a common rock. One handed, it had a big blade on the side opposite to where one would handle it, and on the other side a smaller triangular blade. The end of shaft was another smaller triangular blade, like a spear. The blades were not directly attached to the shaft per say, but to a round hole, attached to the shaft itself. It was an ego axe. The blades were dark gray and the shaft black. The edges of the blades were white. Crystal white lines went from the shaft, to the edge of the blade. The blades looked to light by moonlight.

Ezyze felt a deep attraction towards this weapon. It felt that it was calling for him.

"That is a very interesting weapon that you are looking for, Ezyze, said Armo Blueleaf, the king. It was created long ago by a very famous blacksmith for the personal use of a long gone dynasty. Its wielder was a warrior that was feared across countries for his powers. Eventually, the Eternal Human Empire managed to kill him after paying with the life of thousands of soldiers. His magic was amazing and strenght incredible. Our clan at the time was on good terms with him. Before his death, he asked us to safeguard this treasure for future generations and we did it. We unfortunately didn't find anyone that manage to wield this weapon and the axe has long lost its white luster. You may always try to pick it up but I wouldn't have high expectations if I were you."

Ezyze was anxious. He felt something. He grabbed the handle.

He felt all his mana and aura being sucked in. All his forces were leaving him. He tried to pull his aura and mana back but the axe didn't let go. He was sweating profusely. His knees were being weaker and his head hurt. It felt like a hand was grabbing his heart. He was about to lose consciousness. Then, it stopped.

*Haaaaaa... Finally. Finally someone matches with me.*

A light feminine voice was transmitted in his head.

*Who are you young soul?

My name is Ezyze Mostiko. I am a human, what is your name?

You are not a human from here, something is strange with your soul.

I come from another world.

How peculiar! My name is Selene! I used to roam battlefields with Archmond, my former and unique master.

He is. He had grand ambitions. He wanted to create a place for all to live in. A place where the past was buried and you came as a new man. He once tried to save a rare specy of elder diamond ants and even bonded with the Queen. Eventually, because of its latent power, they were targeted and hunted to the edges of the world. Archmond wanted to face his destiny and be the warrior that he always was. He died at the hands of so many imperial forces and his subordinate. He was betrayed by his subordinate.

Who were they?

Humans, mostly, but few elves as well. They were promised not to be persecuted and that only the ants would be hunted.

Why are you saying that he was your unique master?

Because I only bonded with him. We, ego, can communicate with each others. The others managed to find other wielders! But I think that my requirements are high. I was so lonely.

Do you think that I can wield you? I don't know if it's rude to ask, and I don't know how ego weapons work, but I felt something. Some sort of calling if you prefer. It felt that I had to grab you no matter what?

*An ego weapon that have have been forgotten from centuries. Her soul, last remnants of a forgotten legend, needs to grow along the user. Her craftsmanship is splendid and displays great power.

Ezyze felt something bonding with him. He felt chosen, and it felt right. When he looked at her description, Ezyze wanted to find out what they would do together.

The other present were chocked. Ezyze managed to last a particularly long time and wasn't repelled by the axe's energy. Then, the axe seemed to take away his aura. He then managed to take the axe out. It was as rare as a treasured sword.

Armo Blueleaf'a mouth was agape. He lost all composure. This weapon was something that he never sow the blade of during all of his reign. It was one of the legacy that the former matriarch, Madraga Blueleaf died to protect. He saw its dark handle, the dark metal and the dimmed, yet strong moonlight like engravings.

This weapon was ancient craftsmanship, that very few blacksmiths ever attained. He knew of a wandering race that is endangered and almost extinct that make such weapons. In his old age, it was way older than him. If this weapon is ever a proof, the Blueaf kingdom is the one that recognized him and rewarded him 'first'. His growth was promising and he couldn't wait to see how great of an ally he will be. He maintains good relationships with Sauruüne. He was worth looking for and after.

Sauruüne was too deeply engrossed in what to chose. Few times was she offered to see the royal treasury. She already took elixirs and rare fruits. Very few treasures would ever make her significantly grow. She didn't really need a weapon as Ivan's sword and hammer were already extremely rare treasures. Few of his Lieutenants already have rare treasures. Her armor had long since been destroyed. She was keeping it together with her aura only. While she managed to make few contracts under the Bluekeaf kingdom, she hasn't been offered to enter the royal treasury. As a matriarchal kingdom, there may be some treasures that would appeal to her.

There was one heavy armor that she managed to bond with. It was a nameless ego armor that was dark golden and black. It was made with the bones of a Gold dragon, the leather of a memean lion, Orichalcum and mithril. The big pauldrons were the head of a dark golden tiger, with black striped. The helmet was dark and was thick and heavy, with the shape of a hoplite's helmet. Two big golden horns were facing forward from her temples. On the forehead, golden carvings were present. The rest of the armor was filled with carvings. It was for a martial usage, yet was beautiful. It was made for a female wielder, and it looked heavy. It was a pure product of the best Blueleaf blacksmith.

Jarral chose a legendary two handed battle axe. Its burning core was a pitch black burning diamond hole and the blades were covered in dark gray and black fire.

Ariel chose a very big legendary greatsword. The lame was green and was leaking a green substance through a bizarre monster like face handle, effectively coating the blade with Blueleaf poison.

Nebrus chose a legendary sikver necklace which jewel was a twisting blood sphere.

Trap chose a legendary magic quiver that has great storage space for arrows, that it coats with bluekeaf poison.

All these equipments were ego equipments.

When he reached the camp, everyone was extasic. The weapons were amazing and the armor seemed incredible. The Unshakables were happy for their Master.

Ezyze went in the lodgings that the kingdom prepared for them. He went in his room.

It was time for Ezyze to truly inspect his status , and consider his growth after the war.

Congratulations, you reached rank 3 and became a spatial archmage - unique. While archmage exist, only those who went deep in Spacial magic manipulation reach their level of mastery. The name of spatial archmage at rank 3 is unheard of. You gained + 70 intelligence +40 Wisdom.

Each level up of his epic class to rank 3 gave him 11 stats points. 4 went into intelligence and 4 in Wisdom. That netted him 80 in Intelligence and wisdom and 60 free stat points.

Each increase in level of his epic class to the 4 th rank gave him 14 stats points. 2 went into endurance, 3 into Stamina and 5 into strenght. He thus had 40 in endurance, 60 in Stamina and 100 in strenght, with 80 free stat points. Becoming a champion axemaster - titan gave him +100 Stamina and +60 strengh.

He invested all his free stat points into Agility, short of 300 stat points.

Ezyze felt powerful. Before, he dreaded to have to use his powers. He thought that he may be endangered, that many enemies will target him and his family and that he may die. Now, he truky adapted to the mentality of this new world, where might makes right. His body itched for a fight.

Eventually, the clamor around the war died down. The remnants of the birds of pray joined the Behemoth, as well as many of the pharaoh legion. Troops of humans wielding koplesh garnished the ranks of the Behemoths, as well as powerful flying rank 5s and 4s. Clans that lost their leaders similarly asked to join her clan. Although it was a mercenary band, Sauruüne will be the leader of a kingdom. A king! They were eager to start something exciting and wanted to gamble on Sauruüne. They may able to have a rank in this new kingdom or a good future.

Sauruüne explained Ezyze that while she did some reckoning, she will go back towards the desolate area and start scouting the zone, as well as establish plans for the future. She said that Ezyze should go back to the Blacksaber kingdom, maybe do mercenary missions or deal with things that he left behind. Sauruüne told him that she will put a request to hire the Unshakables through the mercenary alliance, as a private contractor. She had some matters to settle as she has few properties in different kingdoms that may need to be liquidated or rearranged. All in all, she hopes to be done in around 8 to 16 months, around a year or so.

Ezyze was invited to royal balls and ceremonies. He eventually went back towards Shuris and received payment for his services. He decided to go back to the camp in the Eternal mountain range and bought caravamd, horses, wagons and anything that would fasten their trip and ease their travels in the future. Through their telepathic link, Ezyze knew that they were getting closer to Cleopatra. The trip took them 1 month and was uneventful. When they were close to the camp, Ezyze took precautions.

He took a longer route, sent scouts ahead and after to verify that no one was following them or waiting for them. He separated his armies into smaller groups that followed given routes that were watched over by scoots. He was sure that no one followed them to the valley that is hidden between two mountains. The very first camp that they created.
