No more drinks for you

"Damn that wench!!"

Bang!*

Ryan Campbell smashed his desk downwards in anger.

"That Bitch just follows that fool of an emperor like a Dog! Every single one of them blind! Do they not see the grip of those Virtus Fools are slowly encroaching on our lands!? Have they forgotten the atrocities those scumbags have done to our country!?"

Ryan Campbell remembered when half of the west burned in the face of the enemies might.

At a young age he was forced to flee from his home because of the unlivable conditions the forces of Virtus instilled on the eastern lands of Campbell.

He lost everything that very day. His wife, his first son and his parents who upheld the name of Campbell and shielded the nation from their invaders.

Every single one of them, foolish! The name of Aventus is wasted on that bastard Renwick... A genuine traitor to the history of this empire.

Thousands of years after the rise of Vitoten it was only the generation of Renwick where most of the population from both nations strived and hoped for peace.

It was also unprecedented to see both tie each other's blood through wedlock.

Whenever Ryan glanced at the daughter of Renwick, his blood would boil in anger.

She was the symbol of peace, the child that was destined to be married to the Prince of Virtus.

Ryan initially had intentions to see if the young lady has any qualms and grudges against her own family who used her as a tool for the sake of the peace of both empires.

But Linda had to interfere with me and insult me in front of the entire crowd.

Ryan wasn't irritated as much as what happened right after.

He wanted to see with his own eyes if the two symbols of peace were at each other's throats and desire to end each other's marriage.

He would be able to use both of them to start another conflict between the families, but it was all for naught

The plans he thought about extensively went outside the window when the pair danced.

He wasn't a blind idiot, he saw the pair's eyes staring into each other, locked gazes in the entire dance with unconditional passion and fondness.

The possibility of using them as a tool for instigation was nullified then and there.

Even before the ball, the plan to use demons as a means to get rid of the pair went into chaos for the reckless display the demons enacted, chasing after the same couple from the Auction.

They promised me that it would be as quiet and discreet as possible and the results speak for themselves!

All the demons luckily got killed before they could even be traced back to him, so the proof of him involving the demons would never come to light.

But now he was lost. Unable to think of a plan to tear the wretched Imperial family into pieces.

Ryan glanced at the young man kneeling before him.

It looked exactly like the younger version of himself.

"You better rank higher than those foolish children. Don't call me your father if you fail such a simple task, losing against spoiled brats"

"Yes father, I will do your bidding"

"Ugh, my head....."

Selene woke up as the sun shined brightly, shining through her eyelids, forcing her to wake up from her slumber.

A splitting headache attacked her as soon as she woke up.

Selene, after the pain in her head alleviate noticed someone holding her hand.

She glanced down and saw Theo, peacefully sleeping loosely holding Selene's hand as he slept kneeling on the floor with his upper body on the bed.

"Ah"

Selene, who initially suddenly remembered all the memories that occurred last night.

Her face slowly turned red in embarrassment, unconsciously gripping Theo's hand.

I'm never drinking again!

Selene was fond of the feeling of being drunk and the taste of wine was actually growing in her, but the next time she even considered drinking again was going to be a while.

"Yawn~ you awake Selene?"

Theo rubbed his eyes and yawned as he stretched his aching back backwards, while still having Selene's hand on his.

Theo let go Selene's hand as he rose up from the ground.

"No more drinks for you, little lady. You were quite handful last night." Theo said as he stretched himself sideways as he slowly walked towards the door of the room.

Selene had her head down, shamed by the fact that she went out of control, because of the effects of alcohol and regrets every single moment that transpired last night.

She hoped to turn back time but sadly for her, fate has different plans for her.

"Well if you need me I'll go start my morning training and we can talk more later noon in on of your drawing rooms"

Selene clenched her fist, waiting for Theo to make a fool of her, but it never came.

The door slowly shut and Selene was left to her own devices.

She sighed in relief, but the stuffiness persisted in her chest retained even after Theo left.

"I forgot to thank Theo..."

She didn't want to do it with telepathy, because she felt that it was more genuine to do it in person.

While Selene was contemplating on how she could thank Theo, there was a knock on the door that caught her attention.

"Yes? Who is it?" Selene asked curiously

"It's me, Young Lady. Your mother is asking for your presence."

Oh it's just Elsa.

Selene, after confirming the person behind the closed door.

Selene stood up, tidied herself as much as possible and went to the door to follow Elsa to her mother.

"Sigh, I can't believe Theodore would make my daughter drink as soon as she turned 16.... I must report this to Aurora for his poor behaviour. Here I thought you were just going to have a friendly chat with him..."

As soon as Selene entered the room, her mother instantly smelled the alcohol from Selene's body, making her frown and berate her child for doing something that was unbecoming of her stature.

Ah, I shouldn't have been so drunk yesterday! I could've taken a bath before I went to sleep! I could have avoided getting discovered by my mother.....

Selene apologised to Theo in her heart, hoping that he won't get into much trouble. She genuinely felt bad that the person who took care of her when she got drunk was going to get punished when the fault laid mostly on her.

"Mother.. I was the one that asked Theo for the drink. I hope you can be lenient on him when you report this news to her Majesty Aurora...." Selene said with a small frown on her face and her head bowing slightly requesting her mother for leniency.

Levana who had a stern expression slowly changed into a goading smile.

"I see, so you like Theodore enough for you to protect him to this extent huh? Looks like you do genuinely care for that kid."

... I got baited.

Selene, understanding the current situation she was in, wanted to dig a hole somewhere hidden and die in it, because she knew that her mother was about to goad her into oblivion.

"I'll ask Aurora to be more lenient on the boy if you tell me three things that you like about him"

F*ck..... The only thing saving this from being the worst is he's not here.

Selene, who was seated on a sofa in front of her mother squiremed in place.

Selene took a deep breath and resigned herself to her inevitable fate from her mother's pestering.

"HAH!"

"Good! Good! But it could be better! Use your legs more to put more power into your blows!"

"Yes!"

While Selene and her mother were discussing Selene's "Love life", Theo was busy sparring with Duke Windsor in his given Training hall.
