Quirk

Opening my eyes weakly, I found myself lying on the cold ground with a wet substance coming from my mouth.

Standing up I wipe away the drool and start looking around. Only to find myself back in my room yet again.

Or was it all a dream? I honestly didn't know anymore since everything felt real to me.

Next to me was the goddamned phone.

'Calm yourself, Robin, you're better than this.' I then picked it up.

When I unlocked it, I then began searching for the app that had caused all of this. And there it was.

"Shit, does this mean everything that had happened was actually for real? Does that mean I did get Momo's quirk from my hero?"

Learning from my earlier mistakes, I simply threw my phone on the bed and went near my PC setup. Writing down my password, I then went on to google and searched for the molecular structure of gold.

But as I went through the images, my mind couldn't simply keep up with any of them. Although I have learned this stuff before, my mind completely erased the knowledge after I had passed the exam.

So I did what anyone else would do, I went to youtube and searched for the fundamentals of basic chemistry.

I honestly didn't even know if I had the quirk, and for all I know I could be simply wasting my time by doing nothing. But I had to give it a try, after all, I had nothing better to do. And even if it was all a sham, then I would come out with more information in my brain.

Clicking on the one-hour lecture, I turned on my brain which didn't happen often, and began writing down important details on a notepad next to me.

After the video had finished, I went back to the other page with my newfound knowledge. And this time I didn't have a hard time understanding all of it.

Recalling how Momo didn't have any problem bringing out non-living matters I didn't have a shred of doubt that it wouldn't work. But since this was my first time, I decided to make a small gold bar.

I closed my eyes, then started reciting the molecular structure of gold while focusing on making it small.

After having done it for a few seconds, I could feel something stuck in my chest. Opening my eyes, I saw a golden-colored rectangular rock shining brightly.

"HOLY SHIT, IT'S ACTUALLY REAL." I stared shockingly at the small gold bar.

Wanting for it to come out, I then began focusing on completing it. When done the small gold bar fell on my lap. Picking it up, I then tried to inspect it.

Looking at a similar gold bar on the monitor, I knew that they were exactly the same, the only difference was that my gold bar didn't have any numbers or words on it.

"I'm going to be fucking rich." I started imagining all the things I could do with my newfound power.

I could just make unlimited gold bars and transfer them into cash. Or simply make diamonds that are worth millions of dollars.

But it also knew the dangers of this power. If I continued on making these items out of nowhere, the economy would crash. And the country would enter a big inflation period comparable to Zimbabwe, where people were trillionaires but couldn't even buy simple bread.

I had to be resourceful, and not just make whatever I want with the quirk. But at least now I didn't have to worry about getting a job, and I could make my mom quit their job and splurge with what I give to her.

She honestly deserves it, since she brought us to this country and gave us an apartment to live in. I have never seen her even take a day off from work.

As I smiled sheepishly, I opened a small cabinet next to the setup and put the small gold bar inside. I then stood up and walked towards the door.

Opening it, I then made my way to the kitchen that was on the other side of the corridor. Inside I saw my mom cooking what seemed to be chicken biryani. A godly sent aroma went through my nostrils as a shiver went down my spine.

'I have to say that although mom keeps on making the same dish, it somehow always makes me hungry

*GROWL*

"Well look who's hungry, set the table dinner is almost ready." She said, glancing at me for a second before going back to cooking.

"Alright." I then made my way toward the cabinet and took out two plates and cups. I then proceed to put them nicely on the table.

As for why I didn't put out any forks or knives. Well, it's because of our culture back home, we never really used silverware and ate with our hands. It might sound weird to others, but it's something we're used to.

When the dinner was finished mom then put the rice on the plates. Having already poured water on the glass, we soon after began eating.

'How do I tell her about the money I'll soon be making? Do I say that I've started a business online? Something like dropshipping could work. Or day-trading. But she would try to look at the website to see my income directly.' But I gave up on those ideas and instead focused on eating the food.

When I was done, I then picked up my dishes and washed them. After thanking her for the food, I went back into my room and put on some clothes.

"I hope a nice walk can cool me off." I then grabbed my phone from the bed and put it in my pocket.

"Mom, I'm going out for a walk," I said to her

"Alright, but come back soon, the weather report said that it would rain in an hour." Nodding to her I then put on my shoes and opened the door.

. . . . . . . .

Another chapter finished.

But I keep on asking myself why I'm writing at 1. am. I had the whole day to finish it, but I instead choose this hour. Well, it's not like I had any better to do. And my sleep schedule has become ruined over winter break.

Enough about that. I hope you guys enjoyed it. If you have any ideas about my ff then leave a comment bellow.
