As I walked around the neighborhood while enjoying the breeze hitting my face. I began to think about what that app actually was.
Did it mean to harm me? Or help me achieve my dreams. It did say that I could choose an ability from an anime. Does that mean I could choose powers from other anime too?
If that were the case, I could just choose something overpowered or something that could give me immortality.
But is that really want I want? I mean, I surely don't want to die. But living all alone for all of the eternity doesn't sound very pleasing. It would maybe be a different matter if I had someone else by my side.
It's not like I can go inside the anime world of my choosing. That would be impossible.
Removing my thoughts from the subject, I felt a drop of water hit my face. Looking up, I then saw dark clouds starting to form.
"I guess mom was right."
Not really ready to go back home just yet, I then began searching for a place to take cover from the incoming rain.
And lucky for me, I saw a huge library only a few hundred meters away from me.
"I should take shelter there, I might also need to borrow books that relate to chemistry to deepen my knowledge so that it'll be easier for me to create with my quirk."
*Sigh*
Even though I never really liked studying, this time was different. Since the information would actually be useful and not something I would forget about after a month, like in school.
Although I could simply make an umbrella to shield me from the weather. I thought it was risky since people could either see an umbrella coming out of my body or because of cameras hanging from the shops on my sides.
When I neared the giant library, I went up the stairs and opened the door.
A large hallway greeted me with dozens of people either sitting in chairs while reading or simply using the computers here to do homework or their job.
On my right was also a medium-sized reception where three average-looking women in their 30s were working. I then began walking toward one of them.
"Excuse me, where are the books about chemistry located," I asked
"They're on floor 2, section 3. Can I help you with anything else?"
"No, but thanks."
Now knowing where they were, I made my way to the second floor and began searching for the section.
When I had found it, I then took out books that correlated to my quirk and those that would help me know the molecular structure of items.
"Who would've thought that I'd be happy for the existence of libraries." I chuckled at my own joke
Taking a seat nearby, I then began reading through all of them bit by bit.
Robin might have not realized it. But even the small achievement of making a bar of gold after only a few minutes of research was something even geniuses couldn't achieve. It was a complicated task for even the smallest object. Yet he accomplished it easily.
When I finished going through all of the books, I checked the time and found it to be 7.30 pm. I might have even stayed longer if the books weren't that huge to begin with.
" I learned a lot from these books. I might even be able to create larger and denser gold bars now than before. Well, it's a good time as any to leave this place."
Placing back the books, I was then about to walk back outside.
But suddenly, I felt a small gush of wind hit my neck and something else brush against my back.
Turning my head back, I looked slack-jawed at the figure that had passed me by.
A dark-haired girl wearing a bodysuit bunny outfit with bunny ears, and a pair of fishnet stockings.
'No! There's no way!' Having seen the anime bunny girl senpai multiple times, it would be a wonder if I didn't know who this woman was.
And the first appearance of said person was also in a library. It couldn't simply be a coincidence, could it? With everything that had happened today. I was not dumb enough to think such a possibility would be impossible.
That somehow anime shows collided with our reality and merged into one. Bringing the fictional characters into this world.
Wanting to confirm my suspicions I gently called to her.
"Excuse me."
She then turned her head making her hair flick back and juicy but become even bigger when her torso twisted.
'There's no doubt about it, It is her."
But instead of seeing Mai Sakurajima from the anime. It was instead a person with completely different looks, with even a full-grown beard on 'her' face.
"Yeah?" I then heard a manly voice talk back to me
"....."
Feeling my heart stop, I didn't even respond back to the monstrosity and hurriedly walked outside of the building. Ignoring gazes from the people around me.
Not even bothered about the heavy downpour hitting my face and making me wet in less than a few seconds, I began walking back home.
If someone saw my face right now, they would only describe it as creepy since my eyes were looking like that of the dead.
'Think happy thoughts, Robin. It was all your imagination."
As I convinced myself that everything that had happened was not real, I soon after reached my apartment building.
Opening the door to the apartment, I took off my wet shoes and walked inside with water droplets falling to the ground as I took each step.
. . . . . . . .
Was it a nice surprise? Well, I hope so.
It's about time Robin began using his quirk to make dinero with his newfound knowledge. We can only hope that the encounter didn't traumatize him for the rest of his life.
