Chapter 76

“Toby—”

“I’m sorry.”

He sighed and grabbed Tobias’s hands before intertwining their fingers together. “I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

“I know that. You need to learn to trust me and give me some space, though. We can’t be attached at the hips all the time. It’s unhealthy. You sent me so many messages throughout the day. Then there were those phone calls, as well.”

“I know. I’m sorry. Are you mad at me?”

He shook his head. “You have to work on your issues, though.”

“Yeah. I guess. I just don’t know where or how to start.”

“Let me help you. What do you need from me?”

Tobias bit his lower lip and appeared to hesitate for a few seconds before answering. “Maybe…maybe I should start by making an appointment with a psychiatrist or something.”

“Are you sure?”

Tobias shrugged. “I need to deal with my issues somehow. In the meantime, is it okay if I continue to contact you?”
