“WHERE is he?” I asked, looking around.

I just went to our room to get myself a jacket and when I returned downstairs, Herman was nowhere to be found. He was just lying on the ground and passed out earlier.

“I had Luke send him to the prison cell,” Connor answered.

Well that was quick. I wasn’t that long upstairs and I never heard nor sensed the Beta come in the house.

“Where’s your mom?”

“She’s in the guest room. I told her to rest for a while.”

I tugged on my jacket and sat beside my mate. It has been a crazy morning since Herman and Irene arrived in the pack.

“Cold?” Connor moved closer to me, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. “The weather has been constantly changing so temperamentally.”

I moved away from him. “I’m glad you and your mother are good now.”

“So am I. She forgave me.”

“No,” I shook my head. “You forgave each other. I’m proud of you”

Connor simply smiled at me. “It’s not just me who did it.”
