Chapter 01

Darkness. That was all he could see. It was as if the entire universe had blinked out of existence, leaving him alone in the cold abyss.

Then came the memories: a fleeting glimpse of his life. He saw himself in flashes—a man just living an ordinary life. A car crash. The impact. Screeching metal. A sudden jolt of pain. Then… nothing.

He didn't remember dying. Not really. But somehow, here he was, floating in this endless void.

"Is this what death feels like?" he muttered to himself.

"No, it's what waiting feels like," a deep voice responded from everywhere and nowhere at once.

Startled, he looked around, but there was no one. Just endless darkness. Until a blinding light appeared, forming a shape—a tall figure bathed in radiance so bright it was difficult to make out any features, but there was no mistaking the presence of power.

"Who are you?" he asked, shielding his eyes from the brilliance.

"I am God," the voice replied, calm and unwavering. "Or at least, what you might call God."

The man blinked in disbelief. He had never considered much about what came after death, but this—this was far beyond anything he had imagined. He took a deep breath. "So… I'm dead?"

"Yes," God said simply. "But death is not the end for you."

The man stood still, stunned. "It's not?"

"No," God replied. "You lived a life that did not fully explore its potential. There were choices, opportunities, and abilities left untried. So, I have decided to give you another chance."

The man's heart began to race. "Another… life?"

God nodded. "Yes. I will grant you the opportunity to be reborn. However, as a gesture of my goodwill, I will allow you to choose three powers to carry with you into this new life."

Three powers? His mind raced. This was his chance. A second chance to live, and this time, he could be something more—something beyond the limits of an ordinary human.

"But there's a condition," God continued, "You will be reborn as a human male once again. That is your form, your origin. From there, it is up to you."

The man thought for a moment, his thoughts racing through possibilities. If he was going to live again, he wanted to experience something extraordinary.

"Alright," The man said after a deep breath. "For my first power… I want Albedo's abilities from Ben 10. I want the ability to transform into different alien species at will."

God raised a hand, stopping him. "Albedo's abilities come with a danger. The instability of his transformations can harm you. You will not have access to his ultimate forms."

The man thought for a moment and then nodded. "That's okay. I'll accept the basic transformations, but I'd like my forms to be stable. No malfunctions, no risk to my body."

God considered this and nodded. "Granted. Your transformations will be stable and without risk."

The man felt a surge of excitement. He could already imagine himself soaring through the skies as Jetray or unleashing torrents of flames as Heatblast.

"And your second power?" God asked, his voice patient.

This one took him a little longer to think about. He wanted something that could make him adapt—something that would allow him to grow stronger as he faced challenges in life. "I want to be able to get stronger, faster, smarter, and more durable based on the actions I take. Whether it's through training, fighting, or any physical or mental activity, I want to improve continuously."

"Action empowerment," God said, almost as if tasting the words. "The more you act, the more you grow—physically, mentally, and emotionally. But be warned, this ability will require balance. Overexerting yourself could lead to unexpected consequences."

The man grinned. That was exactly what he needed. With his alien forms and the ability to improve endlessly, he could be unstoppable.

"And the third power?" God's voice was soft but firm, as if this one would be crucial.

The man paused. He already had the alien morphing. He could grow stronger through action. What more did he need? Then it hit him. There was one thing that could tip the scales in any situation.

"I want to be lucky," he said simply. "In any situation, I want to have luck on my side."

God chuckled softly, and it was a sound that resonated through the entire void. "Luck… a subtle but powerful choice. With luck on your side, fate itself will bend in your favor. Be careful, for luck is a mysterious force. But… granted."

The man felt a wave of power course through him, though his form remained unchanged. He looked up at the glowing figure before him. "Thank you," he said, almost breathless. "I won't waste this chance."

"You will be reborn soon," God replied. "Remember, though, your new life will come with its own challenges. Use your gifts wisely, and perhaps you will achieve what you seek."

The light began to fade, and the void around him grew darker once again. But this time, the darkness wasn't empty. It was filled with potential, with the promise of a new beginning.

"I'll make the most of it," the man whispered to himself, just as the last glimmer of light vanished.

And with that, he was gone.

The next time his eyes opened, he was in the world once again—reborn, a new life stretching ahead of him. But this time, he wasn't just an ordinary man. He was something more, something greater. The future was his to shape.

And with his newfound powers, the possibilities were endless.
