Chapter 35

"What the hell is he doing, now?" Sasori asked. Itachi's recent behavior was bugging him. He couldn't believe that he was the person who slaughtered the Uchiha Clan in cold blood. 

Kisame just grins and enjoyed the morning sun. It had been two weeks since they started traveling with Bonney and he could tell a certain change had taken place in his partner. He didn't know what the Uchiha was planning, but it would be good to play it out. 

'The number of times he talks has increased. Not to mention he is smiling often recently.'

He didn't need to be a stalker to notice such things. His friend had gotten softer, or he was always like that. In the Akatsuki he only did his mission in silence and tried to take any that had something to do with the Leaf. 

'I wonder if Tobi showed Kakashi his face. It would be nice to see his reaction.'

"You are even more weird than Itachi." Sasori muttered. He didn't understand why the man standing next to him was smiling like that. The only thing he liked about him was that, he didn't get in the way like Deidara. 

'I will bear with it for a while. Once they get their guards down, their bodies would be mine for the taking.'

'It will never happen.' Kisame replied the red haired man's thoughts. It the Akatsuki everyone was wary of each other. Only Nagato who believed to be a god didn't care. 

On the side of the ship, where there were giving their backs to. Bonney was complaining about some food, this was the only time Itachi refused to feed her. 

"Tachi-san, please give me something to eat. I will die, if you don't feed me." She pleaded with a teary face. He hands grabbed the ends of the Uchiha's white cloak. 

"No, Bonney. This is of out most importance. If you don't listen. You will spend the whole day without any food." He lied with a straight face. There was no way he would let her starve. He just wanted her to listen to him. 

Thud-! 

The young girl fell on her knees to the ground. All her acting skills were becoming useless. Itachi was just being too strict with her. Her tears increased, "Isn't there anything I can eat to increase this Chakra? I can't do it by working out."

"Only if you were from the Akamichi Clan."

Itachi paused to think about those fat guys. He never talked with them much. He didn't know whether they increase Chakra through eating or through training like the other people. 

"!"

His mind thought about something. He only browsed through it, because it sounded alien to him. He quickly checked through his devil fruit.

Something like this would have been eyed by Danzo and Orochimaru. It was a great thing that it didn't exist in the ninja world. 

"Here have some candy." He cringed his face, as he handed the two blue pills to Bonney. It made him sound like a kidnapper. He could just have forced it into her mouth, but that would be rude. 

The pink haired girl didn't think about the reason behind Tachi-san's kindness. She grabbed the blue pills and shoved them into her mouth, "More!"

Itachi handed her another one. She ate, and before she could demand for more, she felt something strange. Her body felt lighter and something was spreading from her belly. 

'Did he poison me?!'

That's what she thought at first and was really going to make Itachi an old man. She stopped as the energy made her feel a little stronger. 

"That brat can use Chakra!" Sasori exclaimed in shock. He looked at Bonney in awe. All the hateful glances from before were gone, "It hasn't been a day, yet she already has that much."

Her Chakra was child's play compared to theirs, but for a person who started using Chakra today it was impressive. The potential of her being a kage level kunoichi was high. 

"The sharigan can see through anything, indeed. It was able to spot that girl's talent." Kisame's words were far from trek. There was no need for him to know the truth. 

"Wow!" Bonney herself was proud of what she had done. She felt like she could take out anyone. 

Itachi saw through this, "Don't get your hopes up. You don't know how to control it yet. I will teach you a few justu, after you learn to walk on top of water."

Bonney accidentally let out her secret, "I can't walk on water! I ate a devil fruit!"

"I know." Itachi replied nonchalantly. It wasn't hard to figure out. Even Kisame and Sasori knew. 

The young girl blinked a few times. She felt embarrassed. What she thought was a secret, was already public knowledge. Sasori already knew that she had a bounty of 140 Million berries, 20 Million berries more than Hidan. 

"Your devil fruit makes you change your age and of anyone you touch. You might appear as an adult, but you are just a ten-year-old girl."

Bonney felt like crying at Itachi's words, but the Uchiha didn't let her. He wasn't good at handling real water works. 

"We will continue again tomorrow. Let's go have anything you like."

Bonney's mood shifted around and smiled, "Don't forget to make pizza."

"I won't forget."
