Team A vs Team D

As the teams lined up for the final match of the trials, the referee's whistle cut through the buzz of the spectators, signaling the start of the final match.

Team A took their positions in the familiar 4-2-3-1 formation, with Benjamin on the left wing, while Team D opted for a more defensive 5-3-2 setup, clearly intending to soak up the pressure and hit back with swift counter-attacks.

From the very first kick, it was clear Team A was in control. They dominated possession, keeping the ball moving with crisp passes and careful positioning. Every time Team D tried to press, Team A's midfielders outmaneuvered them, maintaining control.

Benjamin looked sharp and focused, he hugged the touchline on the left, waiting for the right moment to make his move.

His mind raced, analyzing the players of Team D's defense. 'They're playing deep, waiting for us to make a mistake,' he thought, as the ball shifted from midfield to the attacking third.

The first real chance of the game came just five minutes in.

Benjamin received a pass from Luka, quickly assessing his options before sprinting down the wing. Lars, marking tightly, came in for a tackle, but Benjamin anticipated it. With a quick feint to the right, he breezed past Lars, sending a low cross into the box.

Pieters met the ball, firing a shot on goal, but Team D's goalkeeper made an incredible diving save, tipping the ball just wide of the post.

Frustration flickered in Pieters' eyes, but Benjamin remained calm, jogging back to position. He could sense that the opportunities were coming.

Another attack followed soon after. Team A won a free kick about 30 yards out from goal. This time, Luka whipped in a dangerous cross, and Daarn, leaped above the defenders, directing a header toward the far post.

The ball ball connected well but unfortunately, it grazed the crossbar and went out for a goal kick, leaving the crowd gasping. Daarn clenched his fists in frustration.

With every passing minute, Team A piled on the pressure. Luka, their attacking midfielder, dictated the pace of the game, constantly feeding the ball to the striker and wings, where Benjamin and Elias took turns testing Team D's defense.

But Lars was proving to be a wall at the back, leading his team's defense. Each time Benjamin tried to get past him, Lars adjusted, cutting off passing lanes or forcing Benjamin wider than he wanted to go.

"He's quite good," Benjamin thought, glancing over his shoulder at Lars, who was already positioning himself for the next attack.

At the ten-minute mark, another chance fell to Benjamin. A loose ball in midfield was quickly picked up by Tariq, who threaded a perfectly weighted pass through to Benjamin.

Sprinting onto the ball, Benjamin found himself in space near the edge of the box. He took a quick glance up, seeing Pieters making a run toward the near post. Without hesitation, Benjamin curled a cross into his path.

Pieters met it with a powerful volley, but once again, Team D's goalkeeper came up with a stunning save, pushing the ball out for a corner.

Groans filled the stands as another opportunity slipped away. Benjamin jogged back into position, frustration building inside him.

As Luka prepared to take the corner, Benjamin decided to position himself just outside the box, unnoticed by Team D's defenders who were focused on marking the players inside the six-yard box.

Luka delivered the corner, aiming for Daarn, but Lars was there again, rising high to head the ball clear.

This time, though, the clearance fell directly toward Benjamin, who was already on the move. The ball bounced once, and in a split second, Benjamin knew this was his moment.

Without thinking, he shifted his body and swung his right foot through the ball with all his strength.

Time seemed to slow as the ball rocketed toward the goal, the crowd holding their breath. The strike was clean, powerful, and precise, arrowing toward the top corner of the net. The goalkeeper, who had been unbeatable up until now, could only watch as the ball sailed past him.

The stadium erupted as the ball crashed into the back of the net, nestling perfectly in the top corner. Benjamin stood still for a moment, soaking in the cheers before turning to sprint toward his teammates, who swarmed him in celebration.

"Finally," he thought, as his teammates patted him on the back, shouting in excitement. The tension that had been building for the first fifteen minutes of the game seemed to lift all at once.

Luka grabbed him by the shoulders, shaking him with a grin. "That was a rocket, Ben! No one's stopping that!"

Benjamin allowed himself a brief smile. "Just had to catch it right," he said, trying to play it off coolly, though inside, his heart was still racing.

As the game restarted, Team A's confidence surged. The goal had shifted the momentum in their favor, and now they pressed even harder, looking to kill off the game.

Team D, on the other hand, seemed rattled for the first time. Their defensive wall, which had stood firm for the first quarter of the match, began to show cracks.

Lars, slowly getting frustrated, organized his backline, but the constant pressure from Team A was taking its toll. He couldn't help but glance at Benjamin with a little animosity, 'this was all his doing. I'll have to be more ruthless with my tackles.' he thought.

Meanwhile, Benjamin kept his focus sharp. 'One goal isn't enough,' he thought, eyes scanning the field for another opening. His left foot was starting to get the hang of it, more fluid than before. He was locked in.

As the game progressed, Team A continued to dominate possession, pushing Team D further and further back, frustrating them and hoping they'll make mistakes.

The match had become a one-sided onslaught, and Benjamin knew that if they kept this pace, more goals would follow.

But for now, he allowed himself a moment to breathe, glancing up at the scoreboard as the clock ticked past the 20-minute mark. Team A was in the lead, and they were in control.

And Benjamin? He wasn't finished yet.

Team A continued dictating the tempo. They passed the ball fluidly, moving it from one side of the pitch to the other, searching for openings in Team D's resolute defense.

Though Team D had held strong early on, their backline now looked stretched as the relentless attacks from Benjamin, Luka, and the others wore them down.

In the 28th minute, Team A finally got another chance to break through.

Bram, the defensive midfielder, spotted an incoming pass from Team D's midfielder and timed his challenge perfectly, winning the ball cleanly. Without wasting a second, he played a quick pass to Luka, who was immediately closed down by his marker.

Luka's quick feet worked magic once again. With a clever flick, he slid the ball through his marker's legs, straight into the path of Benjamin, who he'd spotted cutting inside from the left wing.

Benjamin's heart raced as he caught the ball. He glanced up and saw Lars closing in, determined to block his path. 'Not this time,' Benjamin thought, pushing the ball ahead with a burst of pace.

Lars tried to stay tight on Benjamin, but the young winger's speed was too much. With a swift cut to his right, Benjamin left Lars a step behind and continued charging forward.

The crowd buzzed with anticipation as Benjamin surged down the middle of the pitch. He looked up to assess his options, spotting Pieters up ahead.

The striker was locked between two of Team D's defenders, unable to move freely. Benjamin knew he had to draw them out of position to free Pieters.

He increased his speed, edging towards the defenders and drawing one of the defenders toward himself, Benjamin closed in just enough before making a perfectly timed through-ball, threading it between the defenders.

Pieters, finally free and onside, burst past his marker and latched onto the pass.

Benjamin held his breath, watching as Pieters dribbled into the box, now one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Time seemed to slow.

Pieters kept his composure, took one touch to steady himself, and then calmly slotted the ball into the back of the net, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.

The roar of the crowd was deafening as Pieters raised his arms in celebration. His teammates rushed toward him, and Benjamin couldn't help but smile. The intricate play had paid off, and they were now two goals to the good.

Benjamin jogged up to Pieters and clapped him on the back. "Nice finish," he said, his voice barely audible over the noise of the cheering spectators.

"Thanks for the setup," Pieters replied, grinning widely. "You made it look easy."

The match restarted, but the momentum was clearly in Team A's favor now. Team D looked shaken, their earlier confidence visibly draining. Their defense was now scrambling to keep up with the pace of Team A's relentless attacks.

Minutes ticked by, and as the clock neared the end of the first half, Team A maintained their dominance, pressing high and keeping possession.

Team D tried to mount a few counterattacks, but they were quickly snuffed out by Bram and Tariq, who were bossing the midfield with authority.

Benjamin, his adrenaline still surging from the assist, continued to make runs down the left wing, causing constant problems for Lars and the rest of Team D's defense.

He could sense their frustration building, especially Lars, who was no longer able to contain him as tightly as before.

As the first half neared its conclusion, Benjamin slowed his pace for a moment, catching his breath and looking at the clock.

They were close to halftime, and he knew they couldn't afford to let their guard down. A single mistake could bring Team D back into the game.

Just as he thought that, the referee blew his whistle, signaling the end of the first half.

Benjamin and his teammates walked toward the sidelines, wiping the sweat from his brow.

With a smirk, he glanced over at Lars, who was walking off with his teammates, head down and frustration clear on his face.

'Not so haughty now huh?' he thought to himself.
