A Day At Tempest

When Asahi got back he received a message from [ Great Sage ]

[ Due to absorption of exceptionally strong soul new racial skills are being unlocked , as well as removal of skill effects of crystallization of emotions on behaviour, 24 hours are required for complete acquisition and removal during this time all other skills will also shut down ]

' WHAT? ' this was a problem for Asahi as without his skills he was quite weak this made him realize that he should gain other means to make himself stronger because if his skills shut down he would be very vulnerable besides he wanted to leave Tempest today to further his plans but now he would have to stay here and also get a bodyguard otherwise his life was in potential danger and that was something he was not willing risk after all who wants to die twice also the skills were affecting his behaviour? ' I didn't even notice it I knew that [Crystallization of Emotions] was dangerorus but that's terrifying hey great sage inform me about such effects as soon as possible from now on?'

[ understood master ]

Well rimuru and the others would arrive in a few hours and he could ask rimuru for a body guard

'but wait doesn't that mean I can eat and sleep for now?'

[ Yes it does master but it is not advisable as food would still have to be manually removed after 24 hours and sleeping would leave you quite vulnerable ]

'guess I should just mess around in town today then'

Deciding on that Asahi got out of the cave and started moving towards town there weren't any monsters around on the way because the " Wolf Riders " and him had mostly wiped them all out since they were a hindrance to travelers but today simply wasn't his lucky day as a large spider-like monster noticed him and started chasing him

He also noticed it and started running towards town saying "SHIT!SHIT!SHIT!!!" there's no way he would try to fight it how could he however he did forget that since he had [ Great Sage ] which didn't shut down he should be able to use magic since he possessed a large amount of magicules

---- On The Way Back To Town -----

Rimuru and the others were returning along with the orcs since rimuru had decided to take them in since they were good workers and his nature wouldn't just let him simply abandon them when they had nowhere to go they were peacefully walking when they noticed a commotion in the distance, Rimuru thought he saw Asahi and couldn't help but ask, " Hey Benimaru! isn't that Asahi?"

"It appears it is Lord Asahi, Lord Rimuru?"

" Isn't he running towards us with a monster running towards him, how can that be? He's stronger than me I think."

" SHIT!SHIT!SHIT!!!!"

" And he keeps repeating the same words over and over again?"

"Hey Gobta! go see what's happening?"

"Why me? ok."

And so Gobta Ran towards Asahi while also wondering what was happening there and when he reached Asahi he couldn't help but ask:

" Asahi-san what's wrong?"

"KILL THAT THING FIRST THEN WE'LL TALK THERE'S A HUGE PROBLEM!!!"

and so Gobta after hearing his words swung his blade and cut up the monster,

"Thanks now let's get to rimuru and I'll explain what happened here"

Gobta nodded and started leading Asahi to Rimuru wondering what had happened to make Asahi run from such a weak monster.

Meanwhile With Rimuru And The Others,

All of them were shocked with what had happened with Asahi since he was running from a weak monster, the person that had ripped apart the Orc Disaster with ease but they were even more shocked when they heard that Asahi had honestly thanked someone,

"Asahi honestly thanked someone? is the world ending?" rimuru was honestly surprised as Asahi had never thanked any other than him before and even when he thanked rimuru it felt more like sarcasm than an actual thanks

The others were also not much better off and all of them were thinking ' Lord Asahi did? Impossible! '

If Asahi had heard everyone right now he would punch them all including rimuru since he wasn't some arrogant prick rather he was a war maniac with a contradicting personality somewhat kind yet also more cruel than anything with no hesitation for killing he abided only his own set of morals which were as random and contradicting as random and contradicting could be and he himself was perfectly aware of this but he did not change them as it did not matter if they were contradicting they were his morals and he would abide by them why should he abide by what others think

To hell with that!

the reason he had not talked to anyone or associated with anyone was because he wanted to get back to his sister she's 16 goddamn it how could he leave her alone when he had the means to return to her he couldn't simply forget about her he was her only family you know

Soon Asahi had reached them and rimuru asked him , "what happened Asahi? why were you running?"

"Don't remind me, It's some bullshit regarding new skills"

"could you elaborate further?"

"well I gained some new skills but apparently they're gonna awaken in 24 hours"

"That does not explain why you were running."rimuru gave Asahi a deadpan look.

"I was getting to that so due to that all my other skills except for one also got shut down leaving me quite vulnerable". at this point benimaru interjected, "but couldn't you just use magic for defence Lord Asahi? "

"I didn't think of that thanks benimaru" he replied with a smile making the girls there blush since not to be narcissistic but he was quite hot and he was also more powerful than anyone here and they were monsters, and you get the rest.

All of the people there were thinking ' what happened here? He's showing a lot more emotions than usual' and rimuru couldn't help but ask , "Hey Asahi what happened you're being a lot more expressive today."

"Well my skills were affecting my behavior to some extent"

all of them went "oh"

then rimuru talked "isn't that a little dangerous?"

"it is but don't worry it won't happen again I've set up counter measures against it"

"oh that's good then."

"now then let's go back to tempest shall we?"

during this entire exchange the orcs looked quite clueless as they didn't know who this person was except for the fact that he had killed the greatest number of them but they did not hold it against him since it was war and monsters follow the code of "Survival Of The Fittest"

And all of them set off to Tempest
