Grandfather

"Natasha??" called out Michael as he saw a familiar figure passing by.

"Michael??" asked Natasha as she turned around and she caught sight of Michael.

"Hi" said Michael as he walked closer and he smiled.

"Hello Michael" said Natasha as she smiled.

"I did not know that you had returned" she said.

"Yes, I did, a few days ago actually" said Michael.

"So how have you been??" asked Michael.

"I am sure your friend can answer that question" said Natasha as she laughed, she knew that they all probably had a reunion and they did not even bother to tell her, not like she would attend the invitation in the first place.

"Don't be like that Natasha" said Michael.

"We are all friends, we are still all friends" said Michael.

"Really Michael??" asked Natasha.

"Because it really does not feel that way at all" said Natasha.

Michael could not refute that statement, Natasha was right, Nine, Charlie and Dom treated her like a stranger, it was only him and Lia that tried to move past the incident like nothing happened, and maybe at least get things to get back to the way they were.

Even though it was truly impossible for things to be like that.

"You see, you stay quiet, because you know that I am right" said Natasha as she smiled sadly.

She was going to have to stay away from Michael, she thought that she had gotten better, but no she had not, every single time her mind went back she just felt terrible, horrible, that no one would dare believe her.

Even Michael did not believe her, none of her so called friends did, the more he tried for things to go back to the way they were, the more she just felt even more enraged.

"Nat don't be like that" said Michael as he sighed.

"I am not being like anything, I am just telling you the truth" said Natasha.

"We all stopped being friends a long time ago Michael, just admit it" said Natasha.

"But..." said Michael.

"But nothing Michael" said Natasha as she sighed.

"The more you bring that topic up, the worse I feel" said Natasha.

"So just please leave it at that... please" said Natasha.

"Fine" said Michael as he sighed, Natasha had every right to be angry, and he could not help at all, he was between two of his friends and he did not want to let down one or the other, but it seemed like he had already let down one, since she did not want to see him again.

"Thank you" said Natasha.

"Anyway, I will see you around Michael" said Natasha.

"I have to go now" said Natasha as she turned around, she did not even wait for Michael to greet her goodbye.

"See you" said Michael.

Natasha walked to the front door, she sighed, she had many more important matters to think off than that, for example that would be the farm she had gone to see this morning.

Just for the record, she could now see why everyone called the business a lost cause and a sinking sheep, all the crops had dried up as if they received no nutrition at all.

Everything was dry, the farm ground was no longer fertile and just in plain simple English, the Farm was a desert.

She had asked Mandy why this was so, and Mandy had replied that the old owner no longer had any capital to boost the business, and hence why thing deteriorated this much.

Well Natasha could not have just stood there and done nothing, she had bought this business after all, and she was now the owner and the business's problem was now her problem.

So she had spent another fifty thousand to clear the entire farmland, hire those necessary to fix things, she had bough pesticides and manure, she bought new seed crops, and they were now starting on a new slate.

One Hundred thousand dollars, that was the full amount she had spend on capital for this business, if not that she was sure things were going to work out well, she herself would have been in doubt, she had one hundred thousand dollars to pay back to Dom, because she had used his money, it was not hers.

And besides she did not want any trouble in the future, and hence why she was going to return every single sent she had borrowed from him, it was all just a matter of time.

Natasha opened the door to the house and she entered, she was about to walk up the stairs when she heard a voice call her name that made her stop to turn around.

"Natasha" called the voice of an old man, the same one from earlier.

"Grandfather???" asked Natasha in shock as she looked at the old man, he had white hair all over his head and a white beard, he had brown eyes, he stood tall and dignified, although he had a wooden walking stick with a carved handle that was painted black.

"My dear, please come, come, let us talk" said the old man.

"I have been waiting for you" he said with a smile.

"Come, come my dear" he said as he saw Natasha was still hesitant.

Natasha walked down the stairs she had climbed, it still came as a shock to her that Grandfather was here.

"Give me a hug my dear" he said as Natasha did so.

"Let us go sit" he said as he and Natasha walked to the living room.

"What brings you here Grandfather??" asked Natasha as she sat down with her Grandfather, she had finally come out of her shock, and she now asked the right question.

"What do you mean my dear??" he asked.

"I came to visit you of course, can I not come and visit you my children??" asked Grandfather.

"No, no of course not" said Natasha, but she knew that he was not here for a visit alone, he must have drove a long way to come over here, and just to visit??? No Natasha did not believe that.

"But your visit is unexpected" said Natasha as she smiled.

"It is my dear, it is" he said.

"Well I heard that you and Dom were fighting again" he said as he went straight to the point.

There it was, his real reason for being here, thought Natasha to herself.

"Grandfather, you heard or Alfred called you??" asked Natasha as she knew it was the latter.

Alfred was his right hand man, Natasha knew that he had insisted that Alfred stay in this house with them, because he wanted to keep an eye on them and watch them.

He had subtly suggested that Alfred stay with them when she and Dom first started problems.

"Does the way I found out truly matter my dear?" he asked.

"No.. No it does not" said Natasha.

"You see my dear" said Grandafther.

"Every marriage goes through a rough patch once in a while" he said as he began his speech, Natasha knew that this was coming.

"Grandfather, please wait" she said.

"What is it my dear??" he asked.

"I already know what you are going to say, so now please give me a chance to tell you how I truly feel" said Natasha as she was serious.

"Okay dear" he said as he had never seen Natasha so serious before.

"Look Grandfather, your ploys to get me and Dom back together will not work, in fact they will never work" she said harshly.

"In the first place, me and Dom were never together" said Natasha.

"But my dear..." he said.

"But nothing grandfather!!" said Natasha as she cut him off, she had always been respectful to him, she always did what he told her to do, and most of all she never refuted him not even worse, and yet look where it brought her.

"I told you, I told you when this all began that I did not want to marry Dom, I told you that we did not love each other at all, and yet you insisted, I never disobeyed you, because I love you, and I got myself caught in this mess" said Natasha as she spoke her heart out and he just remained quiet, he had never seen Natasha so vexed before.

"And now look I have sunk from heartache to heartache, I was accused of something I did not do, and still yet to this day, I am not yet justified" said Natasha.

"But I believe you my dear, and that is all that matters" he said.

"I do not care about you, It's Don that does not like me, in fact he hates me, he hates my soul" said Natasha.

"My dear please..." he said.

"You were so selfish, so selfish, wanting to keep me to yourself, when I am a person, I am not meant to be caged, I can make my own decisions" said Natasha in anger, she could not look at him in the eye.

"I admit, I was selfish, but that was because I did not want to loose you my dear" he said.

"And look what it cost me, your selfishness" said Natasha.

"So please go" said Natasha.

"I cannot drive you out of this house, but please go" said Natasha as she sighed.

"Alright" he said as he stood up.

"But can I at least see my great granddaughter before I leave?" he asked.

"She is sleeping" replied Natasha coldly, she had tampered with her babies sleeping schedule a bit with the many activities they did yesterday.

"I see" he said as he looked sad.

"Can you ever forgive me?" he asked as he looked at Natasha.

"Grandfather, you know that I can never disrespect you, but I need some time, I cannot give you an answer right now" said Natasha as she avoided his gaze.

"I only wish that you give me time, and you trust me judgment and do not interfere" she said.

"I will do as you please my dear" he said as he walked out of the room and he left out the front door.

He entered the back seat of a black car parked in the driveway.

"Are we going home Sir? asked the chauffer.

"No" he said.

"Go to the office" he said with a serious face.

"Alright sir" said the chauffer as he started the car and drove away.
