Settling Onto Exandria

Sorry for shortness of the chapter, I am tired and am setting up the pace for some of the upcoming chapters! Hope you enjoy!

...

The taste of coffee spread within my mouth as the hums of Milim cruised around the walls of our home. I only knew it was my home due to Shuna telling me as much on our entry. It had only been a day since the transference and I had been excused from my duties for however long I wished. My sacrifice was apparently a massive upset for many people as Rimuru hasn't spoken to me since we first landed and Yuna was going about her duties within the military, as its leader.

My day had mostly been spent in getting lead around my Shuna and Milim who were utterly ruined by my loss, their tears still faintly felt upon my shoulder despite having showered already. With my vision lost I was not hopeless, I knew this, I just needed to find a way to adapt. Such a way was the enhancement of my hearing smell and touch, using my ultimate skills to make them as sensitive as possible in order to at least figure out who is who. So far I had been able to easily tell whether Shuna or Milim were in the same room as me, but everyone else was an issue still, my brain working away at re-wiring the concepts my soul allowed it to use for my benefit.

There was good news though. My Cultivation had skyrocketed to the limit of my current level, Feldway's magicules and lifeforce feeding the progress beyond what I thought it would. This did very little to make up for the pain that still ached from my eyes and soul, but it certainly didn't harm it either. As for the Blue Essence healing the wound upon my soul, well, it would require a year or two to fully achieve such a feat.

Pain aside, the sheer amount of time needing to be spent upon the meditative process of coagulating enough essence and then turning it into a physical liquid to drink, was obscene. I would have to spend fourteen hours a day just to achieve a single small cup's worth, and that would only repair one of the hundreds of thousands of shards that Tzeentch had shattered my vision into. The positive however was that my shadow clones could aid me in this cause. But, the number of shadow clones I could cast was limited given the fact that the laws of this world were different. Many powers were controlled and maintained by my siblings...

Now I could ask for some leniency for myself, however, that would just make me feel worthless as the older sibling of most of them. I was supposed to be the one who stood up to bear the brunt of things and march forwards unabated... My masculine memories were making it quite difficult for me to even think of doing it. Either way, I had a way of speeding up the process and given that I could still caste 100 of them at any time; my worries were unfounded. If I made all of my clones do it every day for a year; a year on Exandria being 328 days, given no change in proficiency with blue essence, I would get 56,200 Shards repaired. From my estimates, and the amount of shards that I could sense, I approximately had 267,974 shards of my vision concept dangling in tatters amidst the remainder of my otherwise healthy soul. It would take me 4 years, 9 months, and 4 days for my soul to be completely healed, assuming that the process would not become more efficient over time.

That was just the time for my shadow clones though. And if I were able to find a particularly entuned spot for blue essence in this world, then I could speed up this process quite a bit. Either way... I was stuck for a very long period of time without vision and I would no doubt get bored by just sitting around listening to music and the audio of movies. Shuna and Milim seemed to understand this as they were trying their best to stick with me as much as possible. I loved them for it.

Speaking of love... Lillia; The Raven Queen, had stopped by several times today as she was bonding very well with Milim and Shuna. Her attitude was much better than I anticipated with regards to my other partners. Jealousy had shone out a little with small interactions but for the majority of the time spent socialising they were cordial.

Many of my siblings had decided to not contact me for now. Apparently it was because of a joint meeting that was taking place between the betrayers and primes. My presence seemingly has an affect on them all that was akin to unity. Besides that, my day had been spent in quiet contemplation, running equations, thinking and meditating... Alongside hugging my wives and kissing them where I can.

I was dying inside for something to do other than watch my shadow clones slowly chip away at manufacturing the blue essence for my soul repair. Work, I needed something to do, some part of the nation to improve or empower... Luckily, my powers were now so innate with regards to my creation and such that transmutation was extremely simple. New guns would have to be built, tanks, planes, trains and cars. So much to create and build!

"Shuna, honey, could I please get taken to the secret garden on the University Island?"

The sounds of several cooking implements dropping resounded as the small murmurs of complaint by my cute wife followed, her footsteps coming straight after as she questioned me.

"What was that honey?"

"Could I get taken to our garden on the Uni-Island?"

"Oh! That garden is beautiful! Sure, we can go there, gimme a sec."

More sounds followed as I waited, the pitter patters of Milim's feet soon entering the room I was in as the small squeak she made, before speaking, echoed off of the walls.

"We're goin somewhere!?"

"Mhm, Shuna said we can go to the secret garden on the island."

"Awesome!!! I'll come too! I wanna see you do some mad stuff again...!"

I felt the blush creep up my cheeks as embarrassment thoroughly dispersed throughout my mind. She made it sound like I always did this and that it was just how I was... Which wasn't true... I'd never do that... Yeah, shut up, I know she is correct...!

[Hey Silviana, found out where we are on the planet.]

'Wildemount?'

[No, we are on the other side of a continent that has a main city called Vasselheim?]

'The continent of Issylra. Seems my family wanted to keep me rather close to their seat of power... Question is... Is it because they love me and wish to protect me? Or is it because they fear me and my potential power if I were to become a god again?'

[Stop seeing plots when there are none! Can't it just be that they care about you and wish to pop down every now and then?]

'I won't make assumptions either way. It doesn't make much of a difference now anyway. Without my vision I can't use many of my spells and my Origin Skill is heavily handicapped.'

[You, you'll get better. No doubt you will find some place on Exandria to supercharge your restoration of sight.]

'Thanks Morgan.'

[No problems!]

"Hehehe! I got you to blush."

"Oh! Stop it. I am not blushing..." I put on a small play of being huffy, puffing my cheeks and showing the blush more.

Funnily enough my display got a reaction from her. How did I know this? Well I felt her body colliding into mine, her arms widely stretched around my midsection as she laughed and snuggled into my stomach.

"My Silvi-honey is too cute!!!"

'Another nick-name...'

Sighing slightly I gave her a deep hug back, embracing her before the closing of a door met my ears and a similar sigh exasperatedly exhaled from Shuna.

"Come on you two, save that stuff for night time!"

She walked over, her hands separating Milim from me before wrapping around my right arm and slowly directing me upwards. Having complete trust in her I followed her direction, holding onto her hand firmly as my legs tried to move forwards confidently. It was much harder than people gave it credit for, walking whilst blind. My balance felt off and my equilibrium was just slightly unconfident, causing me to lean way too much on Shuna. Luckily for me she was a demon lord now and could resist my level of strength.

The coldness of spatial transportation hit me much faster than I had ever noticed before, my sight being gone now causing me to pick up small things that I was unable to previously. Small icicle like pricks spread up each of my pores within my face as all of the skin on my body dried out and then moistened in quick succession. The sensation was unsettling for me, beyond what I usually felt when spatially transferring between places.

Chirps and crooning screeches from forest animals blithered amidst the absolute din that rose off of the city below and the surrounding forest of Jura. Little whispers of squirrel chitters snuck in amongst the distant howls of wolves as minor sounds of branches snapping were barely audible for me. Maybe I couldn't see, visually, but my hearing was superbly descriptive for me, my mind painting a rather coherent picture. The smells were something else also... Smell of damp dirt, fresh flowers and distant metallic materials permeating this segment of the island. This was a place I'd created that sat adjacent to the recently moved material trees, a space for my family to meet and just relax.

Breathing in deeply I sighed contentedly as I was guided over to a bench where I could feel a smooth breeze crawl up my spine and through my hair. It was soothing, like a massage from nature itself. Coolness radiated within my body, the hairs rising on my arms from the sensitive nature of my newly concentrated senses.

"What are you planning Silvi?"

"She's probably doing something completely crazy Shu!"

"I know that, I just wanted to ask her..."

"Oh!... Cool."

I stayed silent for several seconds before speaking up, letting Milim's words hang in the air for a little, just to hear her small movements from beside me.

"I plan on making some new technologies for Kaijin to look at and also to help our military empower itself more effectively."

"Oohh? Like those 'tanks' from the Iron Man Movies?"

"Exactly!"

"AWESOME...!!!!"
