A fairy snacked on a delicate looking cookie as I watched her stuff it away in under a minute, the food just vanishing in her stomach. By now she should have been a big as a building, for a fairy, but she wasn't. Surprise was vacant however as I knew that she was like Rimuru in how weird she could be sometimes. Dusting off her hands she smiled widely, once she was done her hands going down to tap her stomach.
"That was good! Now, what were we doing again?"
Sebas had stayed silent this entire time, his attitude showing no noticeable changes as he simply watched the antics of the childish Ramiris. Shaking my head before speaking once more, several fairies that had been resting on me fell off. They were all tossed off as I took a step towards Ramiris.
"A resurrection?"
"AH! Right...! Sure, that's fine, can do!"
"Follow me!"
Her body lifted with the strength of her wing's beats, the thin translucent material sufficiently creating uplift for her small body to use. Her path arced from one side together, an energetic pattern of rainbow colours as waterfalls refracted light only for said light to further divide into her wings and fracture once more into hundreds of different hues. Many of the fairies that had been laying on me were following along, their chatter and laughter filling the void that would have been there without their presence. Smatterings of tingles stroked my entire body as I, we, had just passed through some wort of barrier. This was when things started to get more psychedelic.
Shapes and their physical forms warped, Euclidean Geometry slowly faltering in the face of something more. Unlike the Liminal space this was chaotic, malformed, unconcentrated and untamed. It felt like the raw stuff that made what was around us... No concepts flowed from the geometry I saw, Essences were there but there were many that didn't make any sense to me, being out of my studies. Ramiris hummed a little tune as she continued, her wings creating small waves that began to reduce the obscured and eldritch-looking geometries. Sebas seemed unphased, his gait and gaze relaying his lack of vision on the phenomena.
'My eyes are giving me the ability to see this.'
|Mmm, indeed. It seems that time is Non-Euclidean itself in structure, thus you have some sort of perception of the strangeness.|
'That makes sense... 3rd dimensional creatures wouldn't usually be able to detect the 4th dimension except to observe it's effects. This seems like a dimensional level or rule that is as powerful or close to the power of the Luminal Space...'
|I don't think so, this one is just esoteric I believe.|
'Hmmm, I need more knowledge on Dimensions, Planes and Universes... It's a pity I never learned Astrophysics or Astrology... all well.'
"To resurrect someone we would usually need the soul-pool, or as some call it, the Spirit Pool. But! Because you have the soul already and just want to put it back into a vessel, all you need to do is use the thingy and the WHACK!"
She made a slapping motion with her hands, her eyes blinking in patience. It was as if she was trying to speak to me, I knew it, but the mannerisms and words were not matching a normal conversation.
"What is this thingy and WHACK that I have to do...?"
She rolled her eyes before 'dumbing down' her words.
"You have to take the thingy, the soul... And use a machine I have... It makes a WHACK noise..."
"How was I supposed to know?"
"Ah, fair point... We'll call it a draw then?"
'Monty-Python!?'
"Silence is a yes, Great!"
She fluttered along more until we came to a massive room that was very similar to the one Rimuru and the kids had been in, a tall tower-like platform with hundreds of steps that eventually levelled out at the zenith. Vines dangled from the ceiling with hundreds of buzzing dragonflies that lit up in dazzling colours, blues, purples and oranges being the most prominent. Again my vision hazed as spherical objects soon became tangled webs of time and space, then, gone in but a moment of Tensura's Time. The 3rd dimension had been re-established as the entire chamber that was previously only lit by the dragonflies shone in diamond splendour. Thousands of mirrors directing sunlight into the chamber created shafts of photons.
Essences began to swirl in the room. Blue, Red, Green, White, Black and Colourless all mixed with others that I couldn't currently understand or comprehend. The air turned electric as energy thrummed through molecular chains into the next super-structure of complex atoms. A primal power that surged through even my own Magicules, exciting them. Walking up the tower I soon got a better vantage point on the rest of the chamber, finding that there were only plant life and some manufactured mirrors. There was no sign of technology, no super complex rune pattern, It simply, was.
Keeping silent we all reached the top of the tower platform, a large plain stone slab being the only material or thing of note at the zenith of this tower. Sweeping my vision over the floor I couldn't find anything of note, the energy being the only concerning factor.
"In the middle of the floor, there! There will be a 'Whack' machine. You will need to Whack it with Magicules until it goes ding. Then... That is where the fun comes in! You'll have to guide the soul into the body that you are producing through the Whacker."
"Okay."
"N-no questions?"
"No, you won't answer them fully anyway..."
"......."
Ramiris tapped the air in front of her awkwardly as the sunlight directed by the mirrors soon sloughed out of the very atmosphere, liquidizing into a spherical pattern of sparkling orange and white particles. A simple stone pedestal rose from the previously empty stone slab, a single hand outline carved into the top. I took a single look at Ramiris before sighing and walking out to the pedestal, dropping my hand into the indent. DRAINING. That is what I felt, a complete draw upon my Magicules, the infinite amount I could handle being pulled into the essence and consumed by it as if to power some sort of process that I couldn't explain.
The sight wasn't even spectacular to behold, it was simply a clash of the essences in the air, a scene I could only currently see. Minutes passed in this way until a shrieking crack of glass snapping and shattering unravelled. Where the pedestal was a second ago, now there was a perfectly formed body. Shalltear, her body perfectly reformed to embody my own view of her. She was 4-5 feet tall with a distinct lack of breasts, but, her eyes were a rosy pink now as every inch of her body was carved perfectly, as if chiselled by a master artisan. It was my perception of what a Vampire usually embodied. Twilight, Vampire the Masquerade, Seraph of the End and Hellsing, all of these shows most likely contributed to her new 'perfect' form. Along with those aspects was also her lower parts. Little needed to be said, they were just as pretty as the rest of her body. Her body looked like a doll and honestly it was creepy in a certain way, especially considering the blank stare of the body as it just layed there.
DING!
The sound rung out as I felt a certain segment of my body being pulled at, the barest facsimile of pain shuddering through before it sealed completely. An orb of light emerged from my chest and hovered in front of it, my eyes widening as I saw hundreds of Shalltear's memories, her precious moments with Ainz and the other NPCS. There were even some more spicy ones, scenes I quickly looked away from before raising my right hand to its side.
It got closer as if wanting to be close to someone, no matter who it was. Moving my left hand slowly upwards I watched as the soul slowly layed to rest next to my hand, the warmth from my hand flowing inwards through the orb into something.
"QUICK! QUICK! Put it in the body!"
'Oh shit! Yeah!'
I almost fumbled the orb out of my right hand, now also my left hand, but I softly was able to recover and dropped onto my knees, bringing the orb above the bodies head.
...Nothing happened...
"You have to absorb the soul into your mouth and then project it into her head!"
'Seriously? I have to give the dead body a mouth-to-mouth?'
Hesitating only for a few seconds I soon sighed and brought the soul up to my mouth, resisting the urge of my cultivation technique to consume it whole. Within my mouth the sensation that I had eaten a dandelion grew more with every passing moment, the activity of the Soul somewhat distracting as it felt like it was trying to kiss me back, a fact that I would usually like from a woman, but it was disconcerting when I was trying to hold back my consumption cultivation.
Hermes activated and my lips dropped onto Shalltear's instantly, the soul flooding from my own mouth into the body, as if it were water finding an empty container to flood into and contain itself. Dandelion taste was all but gone now and the odd energy from before was erased, as if it had never existed... Which could be true in our third dimension... Space and Time was weird.
"Haaah!"
The body took a deep breath, soon becoming a 'living' person, Shalltear.
