A Little Memory

A man named 'father' long existed with me ever since my birth. But that faint memory of him isn't enough. I was only one and a half years old when 'father' was by my side until one day he disappeared out of sight. Every day I woke up to my grandpa's voice in the morning. I'd wake up my 'father' and make him take me to my grandparents. He puts me out of the door and goes right back to sleep. His existence was so little. Barely enough for me to recall. I'd make him do what I want and that's it.

Out of the blue this daily routine changed, and 'father' disappeared. Though I could not be physically in contact with him. He always managed a call from somewhere in another part of the world. At that time I did not understand what was going on. I'd try to imagine him in real life, but it's impossible. The only thing I could do was stare at him through a screen.
