An Invitation To Join Tang Sect

"Sun Wu!" Li Yan then issues an immediate command towards Sun Wu.

Sun Wu adheres to Li Yan's command, as it loudly growls, jumping in front of Li Yan's figure and getting into a more defensive stance, right before the intruders.

"Isn't that a person." Tang Ya said, as she pointed towards the direction of Li Yan, standing pretentiously behind Sun Wu's figure.

'He is but a child, much younger than Xiao Hao over here.' Beibei assumes, judging Li Yan based upon his looks and short stature. He could obviously deduct that Li Yan is actually much younger than Huo Yuhao upon a glance.

'Could he possibly came here to the great Stardou Forest in order to look for his first spirit ring, or was he also abandoned by his family like Xiao Hao.' Beibei thought to himself, whilst making some comparison with Huo Yuhao situation.

"So what are your intentions for coming here?" Li Yan loudly stated, whilst keeping a close eye on the three individuals standing before him.

Li Yan and Sun Wu was being extremely cautious, whilst maintaining a fair distance away from Tang Ya, Huo Yuhao, and Beibei. So if they were to show even tiniest intent of harming him, he would immediately run away, and used Sun Wu as bait in order to bide some time for his escape.

'Sun Wu, if they even show a glimpse of malicious intent, I want you to grab a hold of me, and then run.' Li Yan communicated to Sun Wu through the mental link of his spirit familiar.

He then continues, 'This forest is your home ground, and you manuever much better on trees than ground. If they ever catch up to us, I want you to be the bait. So long as I don't die, you are essentially immortal and won't die. Any limbs that are missing, or you've incurred a serious injury will be instantly regenerated upon returning to my spirit grimoire, alright.'

Sun Wu nodded his head, displaying clear trust within Li Yan's judgement, as its own loyalty solely sided with the alignment of his master. Any words that his master say is the truth.

"Huh, are you alone boy? So where are your parents or guardian? I don't see them around here, boy." Tang Ya said, whilst showing some clear concerns for Li Yan's safety and his wellbeing, which certainly is a pleasant surprise for him.

"We don't come here to hurt you, boy? I can surely assure you on that." Beibei nicely said with a gentlemanly smile, as he raises the both of his hands to show that he has no intention of harming him and Sun Wu.

Li Yan was generally surprised by their kind genoriousity and sincerely, clearly having no intention of harming him. So he relaxed a bit in order to soothe the tension and atmosphere.

"I'm alone. I don't have parents nor a guardian to watch over me. To put it in simple terms, I'm a Orphan." Li Yan said so in honesty, with no intention to lie, since he doesn't have a reason to lie to them.

Upon hearing this, Tang Ya and Huo Yuhao's body flinch, almost like what Li Yan just said have hit a nail of their soft spot.

Huo Yuhao lost his mother at a very young age, when he was around six years old. So his memory of her was still vivid.

Whilst, Tang Ya's parent were forced to work to death on a mission by a sect, that is why she possesses a strong desire and thirst for revenge, in order to get back at the people that eventually to her parents' death.

"I see. I sort of already have expected this outcome." Beibei said, with a minimal look of surprised. 'After hearing upon Huo Yuhao's situation, the kid's situation doesn't seem to be that at all different, quite similar actually...' Beibei thought to himself.

Tang Ya was a bit hesitant, but nevertheless, she still insisted on helping him. "Do you want to join our Tang Sect."

Over the years, Tang Sect have been in gradual decline, with the rise of spirit guidance devices, the now old hidden weapons of Tang Sects prove to be obsolete. Now its only two people left of Tang Sect; the young patriarch of Tang Sect, Tang Ya and her vice sect master Beibei.

Tang Ya is desperate in order to reclaimed the lost fame and prestige of the old Tang Sect, and is willing to accept anyone into the sect, so long as they met a certain criteria.

'Since I've just recently entered into this world, thereby I don't have a place to sleep, much less even a home or family to call my own.' Li Yan thought so to himself.

He nevertheless still have some doubts, as this is his first time upon hearing of the legendary Tang Sect. So he was quite suspicious at first.

"Will I be provided with a place to sleep and some home accommodation, with at least two to three daily meals in order to fill my belly." Li Yan asked a very interesting question, which in turn caused Tang Ya and Beibei to look at each other and smile.

Huo Yuhao then looks upon Li Yan with a somewhat sympathetic look, as he thought, 'His situation is kind of like me, with no parents or family member left to be called our own. We are forced to on this planet alone...'

'You're wrong, Xiao Huo. You still got me, Daydream brother. We're a family now.' Tian Meng spoke to Huo Yuhao, communicating through the connection of his spirit ring.

Tian Meng then continues, 'You and him are kinda like, through special circumstances due to my strong intellect and strategy. I was able to come up with the idea of turning myself into a concious spirit ring, thereby preserving my conciousness and increasing our of entering into godhood...'

'And your point is, brother Daydream?' Huo Yuhao asked Tian Meng with a quizzical look.

'The point is however, the boy's spirit essence the spirit grimoire is certainly unique, it is able to instinctively turn the spirit beast he kills into a concious spirit ring upon Absorbtion. The process is much quicker and more safer than my way, since it does not require me to tamper with your mortal human body in order to make you become suitable to host my spirit ring.' Tian Meng's explanation seems to further dispirit and dissappoint Huo Yuhao, as he felt his inferiority to Li Yan.

'There's no need to feel depressed, Xiao Huo. Even if his spirit essence is better than your spirit eyes, his spirit grimoire does not possess the mental attribute, making it almost incompatible for me to become his spirit ring.' Tian Meng spoke in order to cheer Huo Yuhao up.

'Really?' Huo Yuhao then looks Tian Meng in the eye, as Tian Meng nodded in confirmation.

'And besides, I have other plans to make you a cultivation genius, otherwise would be impossible for the boy over there.' Tian Meng have other secrets and plans for Huo Yuhao, but now was not the time, since he is too young and weak at the moment. Too much pressure on the boy would simply become more burden if he knows too much.

Tian Meng then lightly sighs, as he thought to himself. 'It would be nice to have someone to share the burden with. A little brother of some sort to share a connection and emphasise with.'

"We will be happy to provide you with a safe space to sleep and some home accommodations." Tang Ya happily said, feeling a bit giddy, having taken another step forwards at the possibly restoring the reputation of Tang Sect.

"The I will obviously join Tang Sect, of course." Li Yan shortly replied.

"Yes!" Tang Ya shouted, as she then excitedly jumps up and fist the air, whilst expressing her joyous excitement.

"So how old are you, boy? And what's your name?" Beibei kindly asked Li Yan for his name and age.

Li Yan immediately responded, "Li Yan, and I'm currently nine years old this year."

"Nine years old and your already a spirit master. Well, that does indeed make you a capable candidate, but not at the point where you will be labelled a monster." Beibei said, whilst comparing Li Yan with the other cultivation geniuses that are currently attending Shrek Academy.

'Well, Li Yan currently falls under the age requirement in order to join Shrek Academy, but his cultivation is kinda a bit low. Just like Huo Yuhao over here, but if he trains very hard then he would certainly catch up to the geniuses that attend Shrek Academy in a couple of years time.' Beibei thought to himself.

'Tang Sect has only one entry spot to enter Shrek Academy, thereby bypassing the entry examination, each year. So I'm planning on giving it to Huo Yuhao and next year will Li Yan's.' Beibei carefully thought out the future plans for the current Tang Sect members, in order to foster the growth of the sect.

"Would you be willing to stay at our sect base? Its not much, but it's better than nothing." Beibei asked Li Yan if it meets his requirements.

Li Yan unanimously shrugs his shoulders, and then said, "Anything is better than nothing at this point."

'Sun Wu, come back.' Li Yan issued a command through the mental link, as Sun Wu's body then became a visible beam of light which shot towards the spirit grimoire. The spirit grimoire then retracted and entered back into Li Yan's right hand.

"Xiao Yan, you should formally become the apprentice of brother Bei. Our Tang Sect as of now have four people, me, Beibei, Huo Yuhao, and finally you. And we don't have that many rules, so you can be a bit lax. Once you have become his apprentice, then call him teacher, and you will be officially a disciple from Tang Sect from now." Tang Ya firmly said, with a straight face.

Li Yan nodded his head in affirmation, as he then cupped both his hands together and lowered his head. He then paid respects to his teacher and the young patriarch, "Disciple Li Yan greets teacher and sect master!"

"Very good. In the future, you are senior Beibei's first disciple, whilst Huo Yuhao is a disciple of mine." Tang Ya loudly proclaimed.

Tang Ya then flips her wrist and pulled out a book from out of nowhere. She then passes it on to Li Yan, similar to Huo Yuhao. "Xiao Yan, this is a copy of our Tang Sect's mysterious heaven treasure records. Our Tang Sect's secret techniques are recorded inside."

Tang Ya then continues, "Out of them, the Mysterious Heaven Technique is the foundation to all of the other techniques contained within. If you use it to meditate, it will definitely increase your cultivation speed. Your cultivation is still shallow, so changing your cultivation technique to the Mysterious Heaven Technique won't have any side effects."

"Later on, Bei Bei and I will definitely guide you in practicing our sect's cultivation techniques." Tang Ya said.

Beibei then intervenes, "And besides the Mysterious Heaven Technique. The Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record also has five more secret techniques..."

He went into further detailing explanation, explaining the five main secret techniques used by the Tang Sect members; which are the Mysterious Jade Hands causing the palm of the hand to become extremely tough and tensile, thereby changing the texture and colour of the skin to milky jade green.

The Purple Demon Eyes is a method to cultivate the eye's visual prowess, whilst at the same time, training one's own mental power.

The Controlling Crane Capturing Dragon is an extraordinary potent capturing technique, whilst practicing the grappling technique can also permanently alter the shape and bone structure of the user's wrist.

The Ghost Shadow Perplexing Tracks is a footwork that allows the user to traverse terrains at extreme speeds, whilst dodging fast paste attacks and leaving behind after images, which resembles ghost.
