Room No 2002

Next day at school,

Lenin states, "I'm gonna get that super old book today. I mean the translated version of that ancient manuscript."

He accidentally bumps into Sharia.

Sharia glares at Lenin, who reciprocates with equal intensity. Lenin thinks, "Damn losers."

Entering the classroom, Liya says, "There you are, top student."

"What's up? Did you bring the book?" Lenin asks.

Liya hands him the book, saying, "Here... Hey, did you get into a fight with those guys again?"

"Bumped into them earlier, but that's all. Now that I think about it, they seemed kind of roughed up, except Sharia," Lenin replies.

While Lenin looks at the book, Liya locks eyes with him, questioning, "Hey Lenin, did your grandpa do something to you? I mean, you have changed so much since then."

"What do you mean?" Lenin asks.

Liya explains, "Don't play dumb. You used to be sleepy all the time. Also shorter. Not to mention, you sucked at academics."

"Just trying to form some good habits since then, that's all," Lenin responds.

Liya remarks, "And also, you seem pretty mature for a 15-year-old boy now. Look, I don't know what your grandpa did to you, and I don't know what you did in the past couple of months either. It's just, if you know something that can help me find my brother..."

"Don't worry. I'll help you," Lenin assures her.

Sharia watches them, muttering, "Gotta keep an eye on them."

The bell rings, and everyone leaves the school. Lenin and Liya bid farewell.

In his room, Lenin decides, "Let's study about this super old book. I mean, the translated version."

Opening his laptop, he researches, "Her brother, Karl Harvey, was an excellent student. He finished his study in archaeology in 2013, joined an archaeologist named Johan Anderson in a project in Egypt, and went missing in 2015."

"Well, what about this Johan Anderson?" Lenin types the name.

In the evening, Lenin and Liya meet in a park.

Liya asks, "Don't tell me you've finished the book already?"

"Haha, I haven't. I haven't even read the very first page," Lenin smiles.

She inquires, "Then?"

They walk together, and Lenin explains, "Johan Anderson was an archaeologist. He found that super old book first. Your brother worked with him."

"We are going to meet him, right? Does he live in this city? Have you got an appointment?" Liya tries to stay calm but is excited.

Lenin replies, "Well, he does live here. But we won't need an appointment. He got his license canceled after his wife committed suicide and left a note blaming him. He should be an unemployed old man now."

Arriving at the place, Liya asks, "Is this the place?" It's an old, broken little room.

Lenin confirms, "Yeah. Room number 2002." He knocks on the door.

An old man opens the door, and it's the same man who saved them and offered snacks the other day.

"Hey kids, got into a fight again?" the old man asks.

Liya is confused, "Wait, you are the archaeologist Johan Anderson?"

Old man Johan responds, "I was, but now I'm just a regular snacks guy, hahaha. Come in, kids, have some snacks."

They sit down for snacks.

"What brings you kids here? Left something behind that day?" Johan inquires.

Liya nervously introduces herself, "Sir, I am Liya Harvey. You may know my brother, Karl Harvey. He worked with you long ago."

Sharia, listening from outside the house, absorbs everything.

"So, this is what it's all about, huh?"
