As soon as Midas stepped out of the meeting, he felt Jasmine and Gwen's arms looped through his as they walked off under the eyes of everyone else. People already knew about Midas' love life. He hid nothing, and it made him seem that much more respectable because of it.
He was admired by men, and wanted by women. Was this not a great man?
Together, the three walked silently, and once they reached Midas' place, he gestured for them to sit on the familiar sofas in his lounge. Midas took a deep breath, letting his thoughts gather as he looked at the two women.
"So," he started, leaning forward, "we've got work to do. Real work."
His tone was steady, but his eyes held a glint of determination as he continued speaking. "I'll be out there, finding people who are not only on our side but know what they're doing. We need more competent allies, people who'll help us keep moving forward. I'm talking with the Allies I am also talking to others, new friends."
