A good day indeed

Its a saturday morning with beautiful clear sky and weather.

Somewhere in a medium size two story house and inside one of the rooms on the second floor and on the messy bed lies a young man sleeping peacefully.

"Hmmm..." The young man who looked to be 19 years old released a faint sound as he started to wake up.

He opened his eyes and saw the curtains on the only window in his room was fairly lit, signifying that the sun has already set.

The room he was in completely befitted the image of a young man's room. A bed, nightstand, chair, closet and his computer was the only thing in the room.

He sat up from the bed and yawned as he stretched his stiff body, releasing a satisfied sound, "Ahhh that felt good."

Looking towards the nightstand, he picked up his phone and opened to look at the time which is currently 8 am and scrolled through his notifications.

'I woke up right on time. Doesn't seem to have anything going on right now as well. That's good.'

Just as he was about to close the phone, a chat window opened up, indicating that someone messaged him.

"Hmm?" humming in thought, he saw that the icon of the chat window was the iconic troll face meme. He immediately knew that it was from a group chat that a group of his friends made. There were only 8 of them in the GC including the young man on the bed.

Only Child: "Good morning. You guys already up?"

Gamer: "I am. I'm so excited for the game that I woke up earlier than usual."

Anime is Life: "(2)"

Lol: "(3)"

Kpop: "I think all of us are awake already."

Yes: "Not all of us. @Calvin hey wake up already."

Genius: "I bet he watched hentai yesterday night that's why he woke up late again HAHAHAHAHA."

Yes: "HAHAHAHAHA."

Lol: "HAHAHAHA that's why he's so tall cause he does it everyday HAHAHA."

Genius: "You may want to go easy on there Cal. Life is still long you know HAHAHAHAH."

After that message was a bunch of "HAHAHA" coming from them and some joking words.

Calvin Fort, the young man on the bed that they were talking to, couldn't help but smile as he sent a two word message.

Weeb: "Fuck you"

Calvin immediately turned off his phone and put it on his pocket without bothering to read the replies that they sent.

He stood up and made his way out of his room and towards the bathroom on the same floor.

Standing in front of the mirror, he looked towards his reflection. Just like what his friends said, Calvin was a tall young man, a bit on the thinner side with black hair and eyes and an above average face. He is currently 18 years old and lives with his family.

He quickly washed his face and rinsed his mouth then dried off with a towel. After coming out of the bathroom, he hopped a few times and threw some punches to warm his body up.

Finishing with all of his daily morning routine, he made his way downstairs and saw a middle aged woman sitting in the couch of the living room reading a newspaper which is his mother.

She has a beautiful face paired with her long black hair and beautiful black eyes and looked a lot younger than her real age which is currently 39. She was dressed in a normal shirt and shorts, a typical clothes when inside their home. But however normal her clothes is, it couldn't hide her beautiful and curvy body from anyones eyes.

"Good morning mom." Calvin greeted with a smile as he walked towards her while looking through his phone.

"Good morning Cal." his mother, Madelyne Fort, greeted back as she smiled while Calvin sat down in another couch.

Though when she saw what Calvin was doing, that smile quickly disappeared as she said in a scolding voice, "Cal, do you mind having your breakfast first before using your phone?"

Calvin smiled in a sheepish way, "Just a few minutes mom."

Madelyne sighed as she shook her head before going back to reading the newspaper.

After a few minutes Calvin turned off his phone as he stood up and asked, "Mom, what's for breakfast?"

Without looking to him Madelyne answered, "Hotdogs and toast."

"Oh nice." he replied as he made his way to the kitchen right next to the living room.

Calvin first brewed himself an instant coffee and after that prepared his meal before digging in while watching something in his phone.

He couldn't help to think, 'It sure is a good day huh.'

Finishing up with his meal and cleaning his plate, he goes back to the living room and sit on the couch where he previously sat.

Madelyne was still there reading the news so he didn't bother her and focused on his phone instead, messaging with his friends in their GC.

Only Child: "Wanna go together to the mall later to buy the VR headset?"

Gamer: "I'm in."

Yes: "(2)"

Lol: "How about we all go?"

Kpop: "Good idea. It's been so long since we hang out."

Genius: "@Calvin you gotta go with us dude. I'll drag you myself if you don't want to go with us."

Weeb: "Why you have to be mad? HAHAHAHA don't worry I'll ask mom if I can go."

As he sent this to the GC, he looked towards Madelyne and asked, "Mom can I go to the mall later?"

Madelyne stopped reading for a second and looked towards Calvin, "Is it about that famous game that's all in the news recently?"

Calvin scratch his cheeks as he said chuckling nervously, "Yeah hehe."

Madelyne sighed, "What can I even do. I know that you like games so much that you'll pester me until I accept."

Calvin smiled widely, "Hehe thanks mom."

Madelyne was speechless as she muttered to herself, "I didn't even say anything yet."

She just shook her head helplessly at Calvin's actions. Just as Madelyne is about to continue what she's doing, she heard Calvin say in a low voice. "...uh mom..."

She looked up at her son to see he was avoiding her eyes and appearing restless, a trait of him when he's hesitating.

Calvin got even more embarrassed as he felt his mom staring at him without saying anything.

Madelyne sighed loudly again as she guessed what's on Calvin's mind. She said plainly, "How much do you need?"

Calvin looked up at her and forced a smile, "...Just 50."

Madelyne simply took out a 50 paper bill from her wallet that was in the coffee table in front of the couches.

"Here." she then handed it to him and Calvin smiled brightly as he said to her.

"Love you mom."

Madelyne looked unperturbed with his words and even teased him. "Hmph, you only say that when I give you money."

Calvin didn't say anything as he was too embarrassed.

Looking at this scene, Madelyne smiled helplessly as she thought, 'Forget it. He's too shy to say that. He only says that jokingly to us anyways. That boy...'

She continued, "You must pay me back ok? And you need to help me in the chores today before you go out."

Hearing that, Calvin looked up and said with a smile, "Don't worry mom. I'll pay and help you in the chores even if you didn't say it."

Madelyne smiled gently at his words because she knew that he was saying the truth.

Leaving it at that, Madelyne continued where she left off and Calvin also returned to talking with his friends.

Weeb: "I did it bois. Mom gave me the go sign."

Today is a good day indeed.
